  1. Thanks for the lobang, bro! You did not wait for the launch of the new Mac Pro (mid 2013)? :)

You're welcome. Couldn't wait. Need the machines to get things going.

Then again, if I'm not wrong, the new mac pro is in black and cylindrical? Not a fan of back cylinders.

Maybe in time to come, it will grow into me? :dunno:

  3. can you post the finalised drawing of the plan that your ID did? We just got my 3 room NG also and we are thinking of the practicality of knocking down the partition between both toilets.. what if you and your visitor both need to use toilet at the same time leh?

    Fortunately, never happened before. :sport-smiley-018:

  4. We don't cook on daily basis also. So the final decision is to go for open concept, as this is what we really wanted from the beginning. Renovation just started... :-)

Saw you are you are using the 2 burner hob, is it a vitro-ceramic or induction hob?

We are thinking to buy the 2 burner Ariston vitro-ceramic hobs also, but not sure will it have any problem e.g. trip the electric when both burner is used at the same time(2900W). Was told by the sales-person only 13 amps plug is needed for this hob, but not sure will have any headache later on the electrical loading. I think best to get advice from someone already using it before.

I'm using the Ariston 2 burner as well. I was told that it doesn't need the 13A plug. Normal one would do. I've on both concurrently before and it doesn't trip.

  5. Finally, tot we were imagining things ourselves. My prev hse also hav such sounds exactly at 3am evryday. We tot the neighbour was doing shift and one day went up to confront them. To our surprised, they were all sleeping. Logically we also find that its funny how can children play marble evryday and around 3am. In fact before the confrontation, we were so used to the sounds that we had ignored it until our kid was abt 3 year old. That was when he kept coming out of his room pointed to the ceiling and asked me to see "ko ko" flying. So creepy, we sold our house.

Talking to those pple r pointless. We stopped when pple comment 'u crazy, where got such thing'.

This just made my hair stand.

Not to be disrespectful to any religion but even if it's supernatural, so be it. I've experienced so much other things in life until even if it is a case of supernatural, I'll just sound it. if you know what i mean. I'm one that the unseen force don't want to mess with. the kinda reaction i will give is something "they" will least expect.

  6. Hi all,

I apologize if this have been posted before. I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I'll try my luck anyhow.

Every night from 1030pm and usually through the night, missus and I hear sounds coming from the neighbors upstairs. Marble dropping, furniture shifting and stomping of legs.

I have read everything from scientific to phenomenal, from architects placing marbles to allow contraction and expansion to feeding of kumantong. I mean seriously, I understand that walls in HDB's pretty thin, we can hear them walking. But shifting of furniture (every night? seriously? how about afternoons?)

I'm neither scientific nor religious and before I start knocking on their doors, I would really hope some gurus here can shed some light on this 'century long' mystery. I realized that talking to the grassroots, HDB or police is almost pointless. So I've decided to get to the bottom of this myself.

We're not really disturbed and it does not really affect our lifestyle but it's something that we don't need in our everyday life.

I apologize if I sound offensive.

  8. Hi Ez

Nice I like black and white theme. May I ask in your master toilet are all the water piping concealed ? were there any challenge in installing the overhead shower head

    Thks to share ur experience

I've connected the 2 bath & toilet together.

  9. happyb: Thanks for the compliments

haven32: Hi and yes, all the toilet pipes are concealed. there was basically zero challenge in renovating the toilet. all you need is competent contractors like the one (Roy) I engaged.

seabass: no worries. just store things you don't access on a daily basis. there's no magic to it. cheers.

  10. What is the material of the sink?

    Anthracite.

Sink mixer was a "housewarming" gift.

My blacksplash is black glass and tabletop is quartz, you can definitely see a difference in contrast when you spill something.

As for Blum, basically is the hinges, soft close, anti slam. All the basics. I didn't not venture until Servo-Drive although I very much wanted to.

  11. Hi MamaO,

This cabinet is standing independently on its own directly opposite where the kitchen cabinets are.

Blum stuffs are great but pretty costly for some. I've Blum equipped in the cabinets and they've proved me to be good.

  12. Was washing the toilet yesterday night, so thought I might take some shots and share.

Firstly, when Mrs and I were planning with our ID on the toilet, we only expect 2 things. Black and all pipes must be hidden. Moreover, we decided to hack and combine both toilets.

  13. Hi,

How do you utilise the corner space in your L-shaped bottom kitchen cabinet?? Did you install any corner base carousel ?? Cos I can see that it is difficult to take things from that corner...

    Many thanks... :D

Hi Seabass, I do utilize the L-shaped corner space. I put things which doesn't need to be accessed on a daily basis like spare tiles and spare paint. The space directly below my sink are the laundry and dish detergent, softener and some other stuff as my laundry area is just directly behind the sink.

I did thought of a corner base carousel but gave up the idea.
