Since my Muji bed frame hasn't arrived yet, I had the mattress for my bedroom placed temporarily on the floor. It actually looks quite good, adding to the whole minimalist vibe! And because the mattress is so thick, it already reaches the height of the headboard without the bed frame. Any issues with placing a good Sealy mattress on the floor? Should I try to cancel the order for the bed frame?

I saw these incredibly exquisite Japanese vases at Franc Franc and couldn't resist getting them for the living room. Keeping in line with the minimalist theme, these shall be the only art pieces/display in the house.

I'm exploring a minimalist open wardrobe concept for my parent's room with this chrome plated easybuild garment rack from Howard Storage Solutions. Not my first choice of material but I really can't find a similar one made of stainless steel or aluminium with a slicker minimalist look like this. I like how the light reflects on the metal bars. Will be trying this setup to see if it works when the room is fully done.

I didn't know why ID designed the dinning table to be long and narrow, now I know it's because I can stack the dinning chairs this way. Haha, love it.

I like my view so much I asked my ID if we could explore a curtain-less setup by installing the 3M Night Vision window films which will block out sunlight and provide privacy, while giving good view at the same time. ID liked the idea so we will be trying it out to see if it works.

My favourite part of the house is the living room. The false wall and false ceiling cove lights exude a surreal and zen feel to the surrounding space.

I hated the recessed wall in the bedroom but ID made use of it to install a cove light, which bounces light to the rest of the room. Sweet.

Minimalist kitchen sink and tap. ID chose this thin and slick kitchen solid top, as opposed to the thick ones. I was pleasantly surprised they made it so thin, never understood why kitchen tops have to be so thick anyway.

ID chose these really cool bathroom lights, I don't even know what you call it. It looks like a bulb darkened at the surface.

I didn't feel like overlaying the tiles but changing the toilet bowl and sink gave the bathroom a whole new look.
