  1. Wah! A baking club... my wife luvs to bake and one of the reason we moved house was becos she wanted a bigger kitchen!

Wanna take this opportunity to try to sell an unused 5QT Kitchenaid bowl (K5ASBP)... bought online the wrong one as we actually need a wide bowl.

  2. finally decided on my ID after "shopping" around for almost 2 months. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from now on.... estimated date of completion should be after CNY since I'm stuck at the "off seas" of contractors and workers.... :\

Me too... affected by the "off seas"...

May u hav smooth sailing for ur dream home!

  3. Is parquet or laminate flooring easy to maintain? Scratches or water damage?

both have their pros & cons. parquet cost more than laminate.

laminate - though they claimed to be scratch proof but its not 100%..we do encounter scratches here & there caused by dragging of heavy wooden furniture & dropping small heavy/metal object. water damage happened overnight when we accidentally left our kid uncap milk bottle & spilled the milk.

parquet - its really not scratch proof but the scratch won't be visible after few days & after self polishing wz wood oil or mopping wz SOFIX PARQUET floor cleaner.

Just our experiences for having both.

  4. Wow you have a squarish layout with no odd angles, looks like you can play with plenty of designs! ;)

From your current house, seems like you are a parquet lover, new house also parquet all the way?

    Anyway welcome to T-blog! :)

My previous house was having parquet in the rooms and laminate flooring at the living area...

Anyway not having it at the new house cos wanna keep cost within budget... I am just gonna to polish the broken marble flooring.

  5. COE so high now and you're looking at cars?

Congrats on your new place... but your old place was really nicely done up. All the best for reno-ing the new place, I'm sure it'll turn out to be even better.

not buying new car lah... if want to buy, cannot do reno at all!

This time round hope to paint the house even better... painting only... the rest let contractors do... hehehehe
