  1. Hi Chris, I think you are planning well... yes fengshui helps to ease the flow or qi but i know nothing bcos i believe fengshui is abt comfortness within home. Then naturally the qi will flow. Back to your space planning, i believe you will have a dream home from the sound of the conversation. Home is where the heart is... I can see you are taking effort in planning it well. It's nice knowing you having technical support from your contractors, but what are the question you are looking at?? Last but not least hacking is not expensive but the labour is. Below link is the concept ideas. http://s1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa420/sarahlix/Concept%20ideas/ Cheers Sarah Lim
  2. Hi, DIY on installing I supposed? You can see below link for some hexagon shelvings... http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade/furniture?q=hexagon+shelves&ref=related Not sure if it's more costly than getting a carpenter to build one according to your required size and design. Maybe you can ask around the carpenters.
  3. Hi hojc, Early congrats tt comes in 3 years time... *winks* Wow I like the layout, pretty much like a condo style walk into the dining and kitchen to the entrance side. I will think hacking away the kitchen wall whether partially or fully to connect the dining with kitchen. The proposed study seem like a good place, unless u often have friends over for meetup entertainment n u want to enlarge the living area to the maximum. Can have the study in a room if you prefer more privacy and build a little garden area around the living for some nature (dunno ur view n if u like nature). Could even have a room just for walk in wardrobe. Of cos if children r expected you might want to keep one ready for baby room. Style wise difficult to comment cos in 3 years time something new may come up and your preference might differ and change. I must say it is a big space for u n ur future wife What r ur thots abt the space planning? Cheers
  4. Hi ck35, A dream home always start with the planning of space, function meet asthetic. I've send you a private message. Hope to hear from you Cheers
  5. Hi ck35 congrats on your jumbo flat... I was wondering what you plan to do with the hugh living area space since u r using bedroom 2 for dining? Perhaps a gaming area for your boy? Just a suggestion, the dining could be a formal room and linked up with the kitchen as a partial see through... It really depend on your style of living. Cheers
