Personally prefer Aluminium. Virtually rust proof. But best if they dun do any coating on the alum. Coz may fade. Chrome will fade. Especially if you stay near the sea. I dun think there is a cast chrome. Chrome is a coating usually applied to cast iron. See if the above makes sense.

I didnt know about the diff for the starhub points. I only know each room including study has the starhub pt. I was planning to do some knocking. But too lazy, so gave up. Haha.

Yah, I heard odd number elec points are not concealed unlike mine which is even the points are concealed. I tried to knock the tiles but in the end gave up. Seems ok. Not hollow sounding to me. Maybe I not so professional in knocking. So didnt find any defects wif the tiles. I guess since the tiles have been sticking to the walls for 5 yrs liao, dun think will drop lah. haha.

No, I only taking out the windows and door. I dun think will need such a big kitchen. Besides, if hack will need to retile whole kitchen. So not prepared to spend that kinda of money. So will bear wif it. HDB tiles are mostly quite bad. Especially the older ones like ours.

Hi All, Any one doing reno in SK now as well? My ID is supposed to do the shower kerb for me, but he was saying cant get any from HDB. Is it possible? My toilet floor tile is the orange colour ones. If anyone currently also doing shower kerb and manage to get from HDB let me know k? My side the flat was completed I think 2001. Thanks all..

Think they have white and mocha. Mocha is sort of like very dark brown. I remember they have a black one which is wrapped in PVC. But that is about $80 more than the painted one.

Hi All, Reno just started last week. Went up to see the progress over the weekends. Balcony tiling done. Now waiting for kitchen tiles and the rest of the rooms tiles to be up. Hope the workers didnt do any hacking on Sat to disturb the neighbours. Cheers..

Hi All, Selected and confirmed my tiles liao. Kitchen, service balcony and balcony from Hafary and living, dining and rooms from Taugress.. Took some photos of the tiles, but the colour and patterns does not show up as nicely due to the lightling at the tile shop.

We spent around $900+ for 4 ceiling lights for the living room and the 3 rooms, 11 big downlights (all in double tube) and 6 small downlights (all in single tube). I guess ours is the cheapest cause from the forum I read, most of the forummers spent nearly $1K+ on lightings. We were happy with the purchases." Do you have the per item cost for your big and small downlights? Also, do you know the brand of the ballast and bulbs they provided? But nothing really catch my eyes. Those deep deep (210mm) big big sinks that some wif thick thick s/s like all quote expensive. Prefer to have one wif small basket at the choke one. Brands I saw includes Bellari, Teka, Franke, Olivine and a few in house brands from HK. Anyone got good recommendations? Maybe price within $300 best. If dun have then have to up my budget liao. Hi All, Thanks for the overwhelming response. Yah. Its the 20X series. When I went for WIS, only left all the corridor units on relatively higher floors with kitchen in such odd shape. The corner units get the square quare kitchen. Will update the progress.
