Yes, Poms are quite yappy....been trying to quieten him down. He barks if he hears someone outside the door and if he wants attention or food. What breed is yours?

My Babbity Rabbity was so stressed when we moved in that he did not poo for 3 days! Finally, one day after a heavy meal, the little bugger . Eats, ****s and leaves.

Hi niwdehos, Thanks for your kind comments. We had a headache over the MBR too. In the end, we stuck to our main theme of minimalism and simplicity.....ie as little built-in furniture as possible in order not to clutter up the already small area..... And also my wife and I were already used to sleeping on a Queen sized bed when we were staying with my parents, so we continued with the same bed in our new home. I think whether you use a King sized or Queen sized bed makes a lot of difference to the remaining floor space in the room. I have seen HDB rooms with King sized beds and very little space left to walk around....stand up from bed only can touch the wall...very claustrophobic. I will try to find sometime this weekend to take pics of the MBR Toilet and the store-room.

Signed OTP in April this year, if I recall correctly. HDB second apointment was in June. He is not a puppy already in these photos, we just asked the groomer to give a him a puppy cut.

Meanwhile, here are some old pics of my dog.

Since my wife and I do not cook so often, probably like 2-3 nights in a week...I guess its ok for us. If you cook regularly, it might be wiser to locate it closer to your cooking area, if your layout permits you too. Be ready to change your plan/aspiration to suit the practical aspect.

Ok, Ok...Akan datang...he is not very co-operative...I need to dig up some old photos

Hi Phantom, Natasha Thanks! I hope you enjoyed looking. I know I enjoyed posting picures!

Thanks, Gendon. I visited your blog and you have a very cosy home. Can see that you spent a lot of time and effort over it.

Haha! I kena poisoned the moment I stepped into Air Division. Yes, you are right, Marble will stain if you leave water/soup/wine etc standing long enuff. However, the marble tables from Evov come heavily lacquered to prevent this. The lacquer protects the marble but at the same time, it detracts from the feel of the marble. Some poeple will not like this. Better touch touch before you buy.

I think recently got some issues with Evov Living...see thread below by Mint. Maybe its the luck of the draw...did not experience any problems from them myself. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10838 Alternatively, you can try OM Furniture..I recall that they have very nice marble table too. Check out places like DIAN Sanctuary and Objet too...they have what you want. All roughly same price range. Also, if you have deeper pockets, please visit Air Division's flagship store at at mount Sohia...OMG! VERY NICE! So far the nicest, whitest marble table I have seen...please be careful of the pools of drool I left there. The rest of the furniture are drool worthy too. I regreted going to take a look even though I had bought my furniture already. I left feeling that my furniture was inadequate, not good enuff, made me feel all itchy and GIAN!!

Haha! Thanks! Your guess is very very close. Its actually Block 552. The new site has a fabulous location, near amenities and the MRT. Maybe if I waited longer, I might be able to try for the new site...can afford or not is another matter. The prices for that won't be cheap. Hopefully, the value of my property will increase by being near to that.

Hi Kenesh. Welcome to the forum. No I did not run the cables under the tiles. The speaker cable runs from -> Front of hall[speaker Binding Post Face Plate] -> Corner of Hall[trunking] -> Up to False Ceiling ->Down from False ceiling at the piller next to sofa -> Terminating at the Speaker Binding Post Face Plate (see picture below) Speaker cable to the speaker closest to the piller is a very short run and easily concealed as the face plate is just next to the speaker near the base. Speaker cable for the further speaker is hidden under the sofa.

Thanks, Kathleen and TYM. Haha! TYM beat me to it ...Yes, its a Hitachi R-S37SVS.

I got my 5 room for $328 including COV. Its cheaper cos its not so near AMK Hub. Its about 3 bus stop away...walking distance is about 10-15min, depending on how fast you walk. Anyway, I think you made the right choice lah, so don't look back. If I did not have to stay near parents, I would have happily bought a new flat for the same price.

Yah!! **** Shiok right? My parents never bought any fridge that had that feature before.

Glad to have been of some help. Please remember to measure the height of the other toilet fixtures before doing the strip. At 1 meter, the mosaic strip may run into obstacles. If the height of the WC and the sink > 1 meter, it may disrupt the continuity of the strip. Other fixtures include mirror, thought that one might be unavoidable My preference is for the strip to be unobstructed and at eye level. It serves to draw the eye along its lines and gives the bathroom a sense of dimension and a contrast with the white tile. YMMV.

Thanks...the Dining Table, Dining Chairs, Sofa and Coffee Table bought as a set from Evov. They threw in free cushions and delivery. We chose the similar fabric for the dining chairs and the sofa and cushions. We also requested for long flowing grains for the coffee table and dining table top and as matching as possible. In the end, I dunno whether they really put in effort to match, but the end result is still ok lah.

Haha....For me I have no choice but to buy AMK....I grew up there and my parents are staying there. I wanted the rebate from the Govt and my parents have already offered to look after our future kids(if any). The convenience and the flexibility it offered outweight any advantages of staying in a new flat. Also, I managed to get my place at a good price. Compared to an equivalent unit in Clementi, the difference can buy a car already. I also went to see the Clementi flats that were available for balloting...I love the location very much, being so close to the Town Centre, NTUC, swimming pool and MRT.

Hi Tingz...very nice place you got there. I saw your thread shortly after Blitz's thread and I realise that 3 of us have the same fridge! Oh dear! Yes, please with-hold partial payment until rectification is done to your satisfaction even though it is handed over and you have moved in.

The idea behind knocking down the wall is to let in more light and have a more airy feel. We also liked the idea of waking up in the morning and having a view of some plants bathed in sunlight...very soothing. Its great that you can supervise the contractor. From my experiece and others in this forum too, it is critical. You can catch and correct any mistakes on site rather than discover them a few days later. Then you might have to incur more cost and time to correct them. Also, if you are on site as the renovation progresses, you might have a better feel of what will work and what wont and have the flexibility to change on the go. I can tell you that there is often a gap between the idea/concept and the actual implementation. In addition, you pay less cos there is no middle man charge. For people who already have a good idea what they want, there is no need to have an "ID". Anyway, most of them are glorified contractors. For now, its just my wife and I and the storage space is more than adequate. It was a deliberate choice to sacrifice some storage space. Hope we don't regret it later. oh yeah, please post more pictures and bigger pictures on your thread.
