I was quoted nearly 5K for laminated flooring for living room + 3 bedrooms, tiles is going to set you back even more. Hacking is going to set you back another 3~4K... painting another 1K and 3 bedroom doors is about 100+ to 200+ each depending on what you go for. That's about 20K already...

Hi we got those switches from taobao, it's about S$30 for 1 switch... We bought 4, 2 working fine the other 2 worked fine initially but now seems to be haywire so we r importing again

It's a risk we take when buying from tb becuz it's way cheaper than getting from sg

1 set consist of 1 modem looking thing (IR blaster) about S$50 and at least 1 switch S$30

I will be choosing tv console for my new place. I think its easier to replace/change if the piece ever gets damaged or if you just want to change the look. Another consideration for me was that to build a feature wall covering the whole wall would be extremely expensive. Buying a tv console would give me more options to add on storage beside the console. Hope this helps...

My view is to put the aircon as the last item on your list, and do only when the quotation for your other items do not exceed your budget. If you do not intent to change the location of the aircon, then I feel there's no real urgency to get them changed, just use till they spoil, then change. That will also ease up the initial damage to the wallet....
