  1. I will post more of my floor tiles...and u decide.

Btw...what make me mad (until now as I am still hoping mad) is that the tiler told my mother that we did not inform him to seperate out the darker tone tiles out. This is a very bul.l s.hit excuses. So call 20 over yrs of experience...and yet this basic still need owner to inform him.

this is common sense. no excuses. such attitude is unacceptable.

Hope u can resolve this before the next stage of work begins...

    Hi,

My hubby has been complaining that the lights do not shine to the basketball rim at the basketball court during the night. It's kind of stupid on the design of the lights. They should do proper lighting. What do you all think?

No idea, cos haf not played there. :dancingqueen:

If that the case, the lights shld be adjusted.

  2. hey all, I js came back from my hse in blk 26C and noticed that they have installed some wire wiring boxes (or called wire ducting) at the ceiling in the common walkway and life lobbies on each floor all the way to our electrical and utilities room outside our hse. Anyone have any idea what they are doing this installation for?

They are installing 'eco' lights  as was told pples were complaining the corridor being too dark. Right now, the previously installed lights are activated 24hrs, which was initially meant for 7pm-7am only.

The new lights are suppose to save cost when on for 24hr while maintaining 'security'.

  3. 1. Lifts not maintained - break down often (27B)

    2. Cleanliness in carpark

    3. Noise of air in pipes still persisting

    4. Malfunctioning or blown lights at lift lobby

    5. No corridor washing

    6. Rubbish piling at dustbin area

    7. Corridor wall very dirty

    8. Carpark lights not on from 3rd floor onwards

    9. Should deploy more traffic wardens to summon those who always park directly in front of the shops

Ya, specially the small parking area beside the slope up towards the carpark. There's always inconsiderate drivers who parked their cars there, obstructing the flow of traffic (always see a Sunny backside there).

And places are dirty, filled with litters everywhr.

    1. Lifts not maintained - break down often (27B,)

    2. Cleanliness in carpark

    3. Noise of air in pipes still persisting

    4. Malfunctioning or blown lights at lift lobby

    5. No corridor washing

Pls add in this list and update. Hope to get the feedback by Fri.

But how am I going to get your signatures?

Maybe the owner's names and blk/unit no. will do? Think will be good enough. They can always verify with their system on the authentic...

  5. Bro, only a section of your foyer floor or is it 2 diff colours of pebbles?

only a section right in front of the main door.

The flat area is cement screeded.

    Hi Krieg,

I actually wanna to do pebblewash for my foyer but both ID and my friends disapprove my action because the pebble will come out by itself after a few years. My friends's neighbour who has pebbleswash on her foyer suffered from lost of pebbles after using the vacuum cleaner. This is especially true when you are using very fine/small pebbles.

    Do take note!

It our first time doing this, so haf no idea about losing pebbles due to cleaning.

Then will ask the contractor to keep the rest of the pebbles for future use :dunno:

mm.. i like pebble wash too.. sort of trap dust off our shoes or feet when entering the house.. but then i tot of using vacuum to suck up the trapped dust.. little did i know it could b bad to vacuum the pebble wash area.. then how to clean tat area? dust all trapped in there easily.. not tat my place hv it done la.. but jus curious..

just vacuum or use water to wash out the dirt/dust lor... since it called pebble-wash

  6. dear neighbours,

take note of these impt small issues :

    1) remember to buy ur sound system/dvd player early.

for my case, i bought my dvd player together with my tv. Arranged for delivery on the same day. The electrical shop last min say that my dvd player no stock! so...my tv was delivered as per schedule. Delivery and mounting tv is done by different group of pple. so my tv was installed without the dvd player

i ended up have to unmount and mount the tv after i bought my dvd player. quite troublesome..cos the tv is v heavy and its not easy to mount it back

so anyone whose reno is almost done, do remember to buy dvd player first.

once u buy ur dvd player/sound system, its better that u decide how u gg to place ur system..(cos the dangling wires can be quite annoying. plan early so that u can do something abt the location of the speakers)

for those who bought samsung tv free dvd player, u will face the same issue with me too -> unmount tv and mount back when u collect ur player)

    Just to add on...

If you are doing a feature wall for your flat panel display, get the audio pple to lay the wiring/cable for both the TV, AV equipment and speakers before the feature wall is up. Also includes the position of the speakers if mounting front and centre speakers.

That way, it will be easier when the others equipments comes... :dancingqueen:

Also consider whether 1 HDMI cable is enough, whether do u need other cables running from your TV... to the AV equipment/Setup Box/5.1 Speakers...

  7. Can I check how much did Creations from the Heart quote you for your kitchen cabinet? How many feet is yours?

They quoted not more than 4K including accessories, cos mine haf not really started yet.

Can always go down with your floorplan and let him do a initial quote. He quoted us on the day we visited his shop (as he is doing another unit at JM), so pricing is roughly here or there.

  9. Yesterday when I was at the unit, my nextdoor neighbour came up to me and ask if I wanna do the hinges, coz she engaged the uncle to do for thier unit. For safety reason and the reports of the break-ins, I decided to do too. I was charged at $120 for all (9) hinges, as he gave "special" price as me and neighbour did together.. The uncle, simply took out the original hinges and put in alloy screw and nut and weld it. Pretty strong, and he even has the colour to match the gate colour! And I forgot to ask for his contact as I was pretty busy with the deleviries and installations going on at the same time! I'll ask my neighbour when I have the chance again and pass the contact to you guys ok?

Nice meeting u yesterday. Do let us knw the contact of the uncle... :yamseng:
