    1. I agree that the best deal or sale is usually end of the year (Dec) clearing old stock to bring in new stocks.

    if only you can wait or not in urgent need. Otherwise you still need to research and shop to your best ability.

    Yes, probably it is best to pay the minimum, personally I do not have bad experiences from any furniture shops in this regard.
