  1. Hi All I'm trying to reach out to more people for assistance. I'm trying to find an induction hob for the following criterias 1) 47cm by 73cm cut out 2) chamfered edges (not sure how to calculate R50 or R55) 3) must be able to use 13A (old 3NG HDB) 4) can be 2 to 3 inductions I was trying to find and shop around for; but to no avail.. Most of them cannot fit the 47cm width i.e. smaller in size...
  2. Thanks. Anyway, I've engaged this nice guy called Ken to help to build up a "box" with the false ceiling material. Should be better now too.
  3. Hi Guys My resale MBR aircon CU area, the big hole covered by plywood is now beginning to leak water (had already partially spoilt my laminated flooring actually). I've consulted HDB and they say I cannot use bricks/concrete to cover the area as they are afraid that "its too heavy". Nvm that, but they suggested to use aluminum sheet to cover the area and can last for years. Anyone using this method can show some picture on how would it look like? Also, will it be a better noise insulated compared to plywood? Thanks!
  4. Hi Tim. Thanks a lot. I've done some research today as well and came to conclusion that it's about time to change the Aircon unit. It's a bit wasteful though as this current system is still working perfectly well. Will be looking around for System 3 9000-9000-12000 BTU unit first. Thanks!
  5. Hi All I've bought over a 3NG resale more than half a year back that came with a National non-inverter aircon system which I reckoned its more than 5 years old. As per most 3NG setup, the CU is installed right outside the aircon opening in the master bedroom; which is sadly only separated by some simple plywood installation. Naturally, the main issue will then be the noise the CU creates whenever the non-inverter fan unit turns on and off randomly while trying to adjust to the room temperature. May I know if those who faces the same issue as me, what was done to improve the situation? Will installing new inverter aircon system really help? Which brand carries the least noisy CU? Will HDB approve if we were to engage a contractor to brick/cement up the opening area since we do not need the "hole" anymore? Will changing just the fan unit (not the entire condensing unit) help? Regards
