Can anyone advise the typical payment mode/schedule?
I have a few to share:
ID1:
10% Deposit
30% Day 1 commencement of work
20% Delivery of raw materials/tiles
20% Completion of masonry work
15% Delivery of carpentry before installation
5% Last payment upon completion
ID2:
15% Deposit
50% Day 1 commencement of work
30% Delivery of raw materials/tiles/Completion of masonry work
5% Last payment upon completion
ID3:
20% Deposit
40% Day 1 commencement of work
35% Delivery of raw materials/tiles/Completion of masonry work
5% Last payment upon completion
So far I quite like ID3 but just realised deposit is 20%

heard its not necessary for IDs to be registered. HDB license concerns are on contractors who are not registered and trained thus destroy the building structure such as beams.
so more importantly is for an ID who engage contractors who are registered, and for those who have no license. they cant apply permit to hack. only those who are registered has an account to log in and apply permit.
guess it all goes down to reputation of the company. among all the 5 IDs, i only heard of urban habitat.
I just find out the hdb licence is meant for wall hacking purposes. May not apply to ID. But I need to understand what legal recourse is available is something is amiss.

Hi Eric
Can you please PM me your ID contact? Thanks. -
Hi
JTS: My IDs also quote me about $5-6k per toiletm including shower screen, toilet bifold door, wall mirror/cabinet, new stainless steel waterpipes, installation costs for fixtures; including wall and floor tiles to hack and lay new tiles with waterproofing.
U may wish to consider getting them to quote based on $xx/psf for new wall/floor tiles.

Hello...
My 1st post!
I am also reviewing the reno quotations.
Whole house painting quoted around $1.5k.
Carpentry is the killer if you have a lot of customised furniture ( I am still deliberating).
Toilet makeover around $5-6k per unit.
Kitchen I get quotes between $8-$14k.
Vinyl overlay for living, 4 rooms and kitchen about $5k.
Electrical works about $5k, excluding fittings
Still looking around before I shortlist.

Hi I bought it but have not used. When do you need to use it?
In the description, it is mentioned min pressure 15kPa, max 300kPa. Not sure what it means in layman terms.
