Our open concept kitchen! It has an island and glass doors that slides away to reveal the kitchen in its entirety or closes when we're cooking to prevent fumes from moving into the living room.

We bought our place in 2009. Renovation took about 6 months including selection of ID. Long process but worth it!

We were a bit reluctant to sell actually. But we thought the Citylife project at Tampines Central was a good opportunity so we went for it. I guess we're really going to miss our EM badly when the time comes for us to vacate!

Haven't sold our EM yet actually. But we're doing the valuation tomorrow! Anyway, recent transacted EM prices in the vicinity are around the 650k mark

Shall skip all the hacking process and tile selection because I think it's more or less the same for everyone. Different tastes of course, but the same headaches and indecisiveness. Like I said, everything had to go!

Let's start off with some pictures pre-renovation. My wife and I had very clear ideas about how we wanted our home to look like so we weren't concerned about the condition of the flat because everything will go!! Basically our place will look a lot brighter, have more open spaces and lots of hidden storage areas!

Yes it is! Didn't need much consideration thereafter. And since we were going to do a major overhaul, condition of the flat wasn't a concern at all.

Hi everyone! Like many others around here, I've been following the many t-blogs here for a number of years already. My wife and I first bought a flat in Seng Kang in 2004 and after staying there and fulfilling the 5yrs MOP, we decided to upgrade and was very fortunate to get an EM in Tampines at $450k, $20k below valuation!! Recently, we placed a down payment for Citylife so as we countdown to the day we eventually have to sell our current EM, I thought it would be good to do a long overdue dedication to the love nest my wife and I designed.

It's been a long long wait during the reno process but it's all coming to a close Got my keys in Aug 2009 and after 2 months of ID searching, plus some haggling with HDB for special hacking permits, fast forward to March 2010 and the finishing touches of the reno about to be done!! Don't think I'll post up the usual hacking process since it's nothing much...

As per the title, anyone had their place done up by them?

Not really near the mall...it's closer to Ngee Ann Sec and TPJC...opposite Tampines Mart where MsDonald's is

I agree...my flat will be near Tampines Mart so at least amenities are settled...and it's quiet too!

Hi everyone! Just made the decision last night on an EM in Tampines!! 1st appt should be end June!

Can anyone help me with finding companies that does customized wall murals? Saw an article on Chen Hanwei's home on 8days many months back and am really interested in it. Thanks! Just to elaborate further, the mural at Chen Hanwei's featured home is about a "thief boy" climbing up ladders or creeping through holes...but the one that I'm interested in is the one at his roof top about a King from the poker cards...a bit hard to explain so pardon me for that. Thanks!
