    While waiting for the delivery men to come.... happen to see one curtain man walk past my house... and he asked me if I wanted to do curtains or not.... Well... I let him in and he took some measurement and let me take a look at some samples.... When we talk about $$$.... wow.... he told me that overall, it will cost me $2300+ for one day and night curtain **** room and the rest using roman blind.... :dancingqueen:

    is it expensive?? cos the most expensive quote I got is $1700+ only wor.... :dancingqueen: hehe.. I told him that I will call him again.... :dancingqueen:

    Anyway, the delivery men came at around 6.25pm.... not bad... they are on time.... :yamseng:

    My "3 ticks" LG fridge.... hehe... is really a big fridge... more than enough for we two.... :wub:

    hmm... the delivery man asked me if I wanna change the water hose to another kind for the washing machine... he claimed that with it, the water will not drip.... anyway, told him that I'm not interested... since that hose looks abit old to me... dunno where he took from.... and it cost $6.... guessed that nowadays, those delivery men sure know how to earn extra pocket money....

    btw u can consider take over the hse first? hold the payment till touch up is done.. i also do tat that time.

    coz my security system will be up this thursday and I definitely have to change my lock .. if not soon police etc .. will appear at my doorstep

    yup.. It sure flow like fountain .. with my water bill rocket high too!!

    But the tap (a mixer) is **** worth it.. in fact cheaper than the kitchen tap (which is not a mixer)

    I have delayed my bed and bed frame for 2 weeks and they are due to be delivered this friday but touchup not finished.. sigh

    Correction: near $300 inclusive of the electrical plugs.. I changed them as well.... coz some of them fell off after the Gain City ppl used them to do drill for my air con pipings.

    I did not change those switches and plugs in the bomb shelter.. :dancingqueen:

    We collected our keys in early February 2008.

    Wasted a few weekends looking for a contractor, Fengshui master, etc.. very tiring :sport-smiley-004:

    I hate looking through quotes after quotes and going for talks after talks.

    But lucky me... I managed to find this renotalk blog and meet some good neighbours to help us through this tedious process. :bath:

    Merry X'mas!

    Sad! hopeful I get keys soon.. I kept going to the HDB portal to check.. *silly me* :D

    Hubby and I will be doing the following:

    1) False ceiling for Living room, Foyer, passageway, master bedroom

    2) Tile-up for bath-tub (tub must buy myself)

    3) Pelmet for Kitchen entrance (I heard the entrance of kitchen must be lower than main door, hmmm)

    4) suspended cabinet for master bedroom toilet

    5) granite kitchen top

    6) Sliding wardrobe

    7) Feature Wall for bomb shelter (coz one of my friends children just knocking himself against the handle - feel very unsafe, if next time I have kids)

    8) Feature wall + TV console

    9) window grilles

    KIV

    1) pelmet for living room / master bedroom curtains (heard after installing false ceiling - better to install a pelmet)

    2) Additional run of False / feature wall at foyer area

    3) Kitchen glass door (very nice - saw one unit with it)

    4) Customize dining table - if i cannot get one i want coz I got a good dining table measurement from my friend's fsm.. hmmm been looking ard Ikea and all but can't find one ... sighz

    5) FSM (hmmm agree with your idea to look for FSM)

    I intend to dump all my shoes in bomb shelter (ie I have more than 30 pairs.. where to put .. er)

    Oh yes, top mounted or under mounted sink - my ID said for granite top most ppl used tup mounted lighter color granite sink .. er... any suggestion
