I am getting a fisher and paykel dryer from BD to handle the laundry drying.
Renovation is close to completion. All that's left to do is to fixup some defects, install the kitchen backsplash and faucet.
Here's a shot of the frosted glass door for the MBR bathroom.
I like how the frosted glass door allows natural light to flow through so I don't have to switch on the lights.
The decals used to camoflage the bomb shelter door.
Same frosted glass door for the common toilet as well.

Day 2 of carpentry installation. Everything is coming along very nicely. Some shots of the MBR. There will be a partition to separate the sleeping area from the full height windows. The partition will give me some privacy as well as provide an area to mount my TV.
The partition with the platform also gives me an area to sit and just enjoy the view.
This is the view from the study area as well as shots of the hanging cabinets and wardrobe.
The dinning area- which I want to have a very warm and cozy feeling. The full length bench cum console that runs along the length of the living room.
The kitchen area plus a shot of the slim hood that I am using. Only doing very light cooking, so a slim hood is enough to meet my needs.
So that's about all that I have to show. Will post more tomorrow when they finish the installations.

The storage heater you will need to get to supply enough hot water to fill a bathtub cost about $250. Other than that, the bath tub itself I think its about $4-500, besides that, you will need your renovator to build you a base for the bathtub and also bathroom accessories and plumbing. I estimate the total cost should range from about $800-$1000 to add a basic bathtub. As for those that comes with jacuzzi, I am not sure.
The carpentry installation started yesterday.
I am adding a platform by the MBR windows- a place for me to relax and enjoy the view.
The cabinets and table I am installing for myself. Table comes with a built-in lightbox for drawing purposes.
The new switches I am using for the entire house.

kriegs- the company that I went to have bathtubs sized just right for HDB toilets.
This week will be a slow week. I can't wait for next week when they start installing all the carpentry work.

Here's the corridor now, after patching up the former entrance to the MBR.

Having a bathtub and full height windows in the bedroom has always been my dream. So when the opportunity presented itself, I was going to do anything to make it a reality !! I specifically chose a higher floor just to have that full height window view.
These days, all HDB flats have similiar layouts.
BTW, I am living in block 26C.
Next week, most of the work will be offsite carpentry work, there probably won't be much to update. The exciting part will be the week after when the carpentry installation begins.

Got the keys to my new place at Jalan Membina late last year. After one month of sourcing for IDs, I've decided to sign up with Plus Living. So far, everything has been smooth sailing and the ID is doing a good job.

Unfortunately having a bathtub requires one to also install a bigassed water heater to supply enough heated water.

Thank you all. All the money spent on the renovation has been worth it. Since I tend to prefer to stay at home rather than jostle with the crowd on the weekends, I wanted to make it as cozy as I possibly can.
As for the decals, I can't find the receipt and I can't remember exactly how much it cost me. There's just so many receipts and invoices to keep track off, its crazy. But for those interested, I remember there's a website somewhere which I came across in renotalk.
Most of the credit has to go my ID who has done an excellent job. Thus far, I think I only called her up 2 or 3 times since the renovation started. This may sound crazy, but I actually did not even go on site to check on the workers while the renovation was going on. I was so busy with work and everything that the only time I could spare was 8-9 pm in the evening to check on the work in progress.
The curtain guy came down today to install the blinds and curtains. I has originally wanted to go with all blinds for the easy maintenance, but since there's a curve in the living room windows, the curtain guy convinced me to go with curtains and I ended up with a mixture of both.
I have to admit the curtains does add a certain something to the overall ambience.
Blinds for the study area. BTW my office chair also arrived from vhive today.
Plus the dinner table I ordered from Star Furniture-
Curtains in the living room- something thick enough to protect my privacy but still allows enough natural light to flow through.
And finally the fisher and paykel dryer plus the installation of the backsplash.
