    fujiwara - still rmb dF which you & me go together? he manage to hide most of the trucking to 1 room only. k do e same? you still remember?

    can't really remb? how to hide in 1 room only? from the 2nd common room to the 3rd room, how to go through? :dunno:

    unless not going to have aircon for the other rooms? I was thinking of a system 4...

    Hi guys, need to seek your views.

    We meet the contractor yesterday, and he advised that we need to alter our master bedroom and the common rooms' doors as the aircon piping have to go through the rooms and the space above the door is block by the beam, thus we need to alter our bedroom doors lower if not the aircon water will not able able to flow through properly. Hope you all get what I mean. Cos for our flats, there is a beam just above the door and the aircon trunking won't be able to build just above the doors.

    Anyone have the same experience? Or any ways of solving this?

    So you managed to extend your HLE? That cool.

    So what should i do? I am thinking...

    1. Delay take key since i dun be getting married soon. Maybe next year? But HDB will allow??

    2. Take key but tell them i will provide ROM cert by 9/9/2009?

    3. Any others?

    I think you can take keys unless you are willing to forgo the grant given? 9/9/2009 like abit long to extend taking keys till then? Maybe if you are able to provide evidence that you will ROM on that date? Like for example providing them the receipt of the dinner banquet or something.

    You can call the sales officer, they are really helpful and friendly! ;)

    Must be more specific....7 days or before renovation whichever is EARLIER.... so end up most people is 7 days unless day 1 you start reno work liao..

    Is this confirm? Whichever is earlier? Because its not stated on the form and if i didnt remb wrongly,the officer said as long as before renovation also can. Can someone kindly reconfirm this pls? Cos i went down today n spotted a few flaws with our naked eyes,such as a dent on the window, main door knocking against the wall causing the wall paint to fall off...

    ok ok, so have you found your ID?

    nop nop....only asked for 2 quotations and parents pressing for us to use our family contractor, cos more reliable...haven't have anything concrete yet though... but doing a budget reno... no $$ :bangwall:

    what you mean up to 1 month from the date they give you keys? you mean to open the door and check for defects ah?

    oh no no...u misunderstood me...i mean if you want to postpone the collection of keys...

    for defacts..is 7days upon collection of keys or before any renovation work has started.... :D

    221B is ready liao , pending HDB inspection, should be getting keys real soon, but as the lunar 7th month is here, should be holding to after that passed then have open door.

    Eager as i am, already went up yesterday to see see my unit...haha

    hmm...i think can only holdd off up to 1 month eh.... cos I wanted to postpone also, but the officer say up to 1 month from the date they give you....

    haha.....excited to open door later!!!! can't wait to end work!! :drunk:

    hahaha, no one has doggy meh? anyways, my doggy will be roaming around the area, fitness pack between the flats when we moved in, remember to say HI!! BEWARE of your lunch boxes...hahaha.... :notti:

    I have a poodle! and a noisy one too...pardon me if he gets too noisy.... :bow:

    big orange, I am in taiwan now for holidays, not taking wedding photo...no money for that! hehe... in the minsu at Hualien now..really nice....the owner has 3 doggies! and the poodle here looks like teddy bear! so cute!

    btw, for those who want their keys earlier, just call your hdb officer and press them for the keys..i told them both of us will be off station in aug, thus they changed and let us get both the keys + signing, instead of orginally just signing.... hope it helps... :D

    anyone else collecting keys this week? I will be back on thursday, collecting keys on sat...have to choose a date to "open door"!! hehe...exciting!!! :sport-smiley-018:

    Another things to share. I heard the for those who applied AHG will take longer to able to take key - compare to those who didn't.

    wow. thats bad, so what happen now?any warranty?

    think it maybe a one off ba

    she changed her whole stove, not included in warranty I guess....she told me many of her frens glass stoves shattered too....anyway I guess when you buy the contactor will warn you too? Glass will shattered due to heat...I think is nothing to do with the brand.... :yamseng:

    ok, heard cuizino not bad, but not much info on web and no wedsite leh, think it is handled by dealer.

    nono! my sis was using this...her stove was glass and it "exploded" a few weeks ago...partly cos the glass shattered due to long term exposed to heat....she has been using for 2yrs+ only....i think I would get the old fashion metal kind, compared to glass kind...

    I want the keys early but donno whr to wait is the best, at least more cpf in the pocket.

    my parents went down to the new flats yesterday and the contractor told them 219C will be taking their keys from next week onwards....dunoe how true that is...

    gt my HLE approved after I feedback to them that its taking too long, and they approved within 24hrs!

    now I wonder when will I be able to collect my keys! want to finish my reno by end july! :bangwall:

    I am thinking whether I should do all these. Can a house look as good without all these? The above is actually quite dollar sucking.

    So how your other contractor? Is it as good and cheap?

    still waiting for the other quotation, will take 2 wks cos he is really busy at the moment. Btw, the name is call E Huat, is a contractor not ID. but his workmanship wise is good. Will view some of his work after the qoutation.

    Actually I feel you don't really have to follow the trend now to have feature walls and all. Its up to individual, and I think a house can look really nice w/o those as well. I personally feel that lights and the furnitures plays a more important part. I will put more lamps and floor rugs around...

    Actually another couple went with me.

    prehaps they can shed some lights?

    we quite like the design of the door entrance, where he laid pebbles...my bf thought it was a brilliant idea, as it gives a resort feel. Overall, the deco of the house was quite plain, nothing much to rave about. However, the guy was really friendly and patient with our numerous questions. Workmanship wise was not bad, the build-in wardrobe in the master bedroom was pretty nice and rather affordable. I think he mentioned it was around $1.2k? Experience so far with him was gd. :thumbs up:
