Advice On Things To Note Before Signing The Contract Renovation Firms

Hi, I'm in the midst of speaking to the IDs, but would like to understand more in terms of what is normally given before signing on the dotted line...

So far, the IDs whom I have spoken to, I've met them up at my place with some proposed designs on the floor plan that I've sent them... however, for these designs, it could be hard to visualize:

1) Can we request for the 3D or perspective drawings before we sign the contract?

2) For most of the forummers here, based on your experience, would it be better to visit their office/showflats etc to make a decision?

3) Other than the quote and design, would you go through the details of colour matching etc etc before signing the contract?

I'm very much at a loss of what to request for or take note etc before agreement and wouldn't want to commit and end up regretting? Appreciate your help.
