Warning - Hoho Engineering Supply Door With Mould

Just to share with a recent bad encounter with HO HO ENGINEERING

On end dec 2010, we replace our current doors with veneer doors. On 12 Nov 2011, we found a MAJOR ISSUE with the door- the doors are covered with layers of green mould (didnt come to our attention earlier as the door was dark-coloured).

We immediately contacted the company. Miss Wu took our calls and get the in charge - Mr chong to drop by. Mr Chong came by, inspected the door and say this is the FIRST TIME in his career life to see this problem. He suspect that it was due to the envionment we live in (which do not make sense, as we have young kids at home and are always cautious about cleaniness). He advised and help to wipe away the "evidence" and ask us to monitor the situation.

On 23rd Nov, the problem came back, both the front and back of all the 3 doors are covered with green mould again. We called Miss wu, who again asked Mr Chong to drop by. Over the phone, Mr chong advised he will apply another layer of chemical. We demand to change the door as we feel its the bad quality of the door. MR chong say even if the issue has to be BROUGHT TO COURT, he cant do any thing also ( very insensitive fellow).

We call Miss Wu and she got another 2 workers to drop by that night, Mr Lu and Ah Seng. They came and concluded that the issue arises from the problem of the wood. They say they will inform HOHO ENGINEERING. Then we clean up the place thoroughly again.

The next day, we call Mr Lu to ask about the follow - up . He say the supplier suggested to apply some chemical to TRY IF the problem can be solved.

(How can we be their guinea pig and risk the health of our children)

(Since we install the dooors, our children has been sick almost twice every month and in and out of hospital a few times. We suspect its highly related as the powdery mould can cause problem in the respiratory system )

Miss wu said will get back to us by the afternoon but no news from her, so we call back and Miss Ong answer the phone. Miss Ong mentioned will get the SUPPLIER to drop by. After a few days, when the mould reappear again, we contacted Ms Ong and say the supplier will drop by on Monday, 5 Dec. So we push away our appointment on that day to accomodate the timing. When we call again, she say the supplier can only drop by on wednesday, 7th dec, to take pictures of the door. Should have inform us in advance that they cant make it.

We feel that they pushing the blame to one another.

On 7 Dec 2011, the "supplier" came, gave the same excuses again, mention tried to treat the door with chemical etc.

turn out that this "fake supplier" is one of the worker working for HOHO Engineering, driving the HoHo engineering lorry.

and still claim that he is the SUpplier, supplying door for HOHO engineering.

a pack of lies.

trying to lead us on a merry-go-round and waste our time shifting our appointment to make time for this fake supplier

pls really consider engaging their services as their after sales services and attitude is really nonsense

Its our oversight not to do a search on the internet before engaging their services. Upon doing a google search, I found many similar bad experiences by customers on this company.

Really in a rush that time and didn't browse through the forum. Was a victim of this poor company. In the expo, didn't really find them helpful already but was lazy to run around, so just ask for quotation, looks ok and sign on 1 door, 7 window panes and whole house of window grilles.

Mistake...

1) Poor worksmanship, so far only did main door and window. The window lock is out of alignment one, took some effort to close and is like can almost on the breaking point, but currently we're too fed up to ask ask them. One of the side got damage during installation and we called them up, they ask for picture, we sent, end up nothing done also. Call them always say never received.

2) Not on time.. Scheduled timing always didn't appear or appear leow never ask properly went away. C'mon it's a new flat, we already told them to call us before coming down so that we can discuss when taking measurement. They come , got problem, then went back... the next day when we called them they claims, no one was there and they tried calling us but we never picked up. DElayed....

3) Scheduld time of installation also never appear, call them up never picked up.

4) Poor customer service . My wife called them as it delayed our renovation process. it was replied.. why wait for our door, you pay so much for renovation already why so stingy ask them saw off the old main door 1st lah. We are like wtf. Why should we pay for service we dun need if your door can deliver on time.

Blood boiling.

wah lucky i never buy, was at expo few moths back n find their price very cheap almost sign....but at the end buy fr the supplyer that my contractor intor..
