DSA - thanks for your reply. i used the checklist that you put up in your previous post! i think its from some diva79 or something. i don't know, i didn't do the checks. hubby and dad did them. but my dad is experienced in such things so i guess i trust them. maybe i'll go do another round of check on saturday.

herbman76 - hello how are you? i'm doing okay. just got keys and checked defects! err.. think we're not as pro as Ideasmiths or DSA, my dad and hubby only found one minor defect in the whole house! *worried* is it normal to have only one minor defect? Ideasmiths - wah biang your idea cool lah. but neck pain leh after a while. we came up with some L shaped idea also but i still think its weird. why the short wall so short!!!

BO - thanks! think most likely i'll do that too.. unless someone has a more creative suggestion lol. isc90152 - yup exactly. that is troublesome but can DIY right? to do the wiring over to the long wall. to me, it just looks natural to come into my house and see the sofa on the left (long wall) and tv on the right (short wall) haha

really? will importing + DIY/pay for labour be cheaper than doing it locally? aiyah now like alot of ideas but when i get my keys and talk it out with contractor/ID, got a feeling will trim down alot of things due to cost

hello neighbours! the application status in my hdbpage has finally changed! Your appointment to sign the Agreement for Lease and Take Possession of the new flat is on ... its too soon so we're going to defer the appointment. but still, very excited!

i'm doing fine girl! oh ya u told me b4 that u collected ur keys alrdy.. i've been going to our block sometimes to have a look at other ppl's reno, made friends with a few neighbours in our block as well.. hehe maybe i can pop by ur place sometime, if u dun mind hope all your reno stuff is going on well ROM planning is still preliminary, still scouting around for venue, JP and all.. preparation is tedious but very exciting!

hello girl! i don't have an appt to collect my keys yet. but hle & ahg are approved, so i need to get the keys before the hle expires in 3mths time, which is sept. if not must apply hle all over again. yours?
