    Wah quartz more ex then granite meh ? :X how much you know ? My Id no tell me price =/

    But color sure lose out to granite de wor. I like granite color more honestly.

    Then yah Quartz top have alot sparkle sparkle but against light canot see liao. Granite can.

    Also that time my scratch test on Quartz is pretty good but still will leave a faint mark.

    Against light can still see if you see carefully. So careful not to scratch it.

    Try ask them give a full pc if can :P

    Initally mine they say too big need cut into 3pc. I say no way ! :X

    I get man made stone coz i dont wana see lines so if can I want only 1pc hehe.

    But canot due to my flat here quite cramp even go up stairs.... so they says bo bian. I gave in for 2pc since my kitchen is L shape.

    Only 1 fine line i still can accept. So the poor Quartz guy have to climbs stairs all the way up to my unit coz the top canot fit in lift oops.

    Oh so quartz will still have faint mark, will have to xtra nice to my exp worktop then :P . Mine will be 3 pieces - 2 pieces for the L-wet kitchen & the other for the dry kitchen but can only see joint at L-kitchen cos the wet & dry separated by fridge.

    Will check px & let u know but currently for now quartz def more exp than granite tho' quality same.

    I also doubt the worktop can be brot into the lift and I will be staying at the highest floor (#25) so we really pity those poor workers :o

    Agree lah ..... overall no complains on their workmanship ...... minor flaws here & there are inevitable and requires some rework ...... but i'm most pleased is that they make good everything w/o any questions asked or give me bulls & craps......

    So this is where the after sales service kick in......... ;)

    Haha, so that i have backup mah ;)

    Glad to hear that after sales service is good. So far Lynn has been responsive and maybe we are quite open to ideas (aka chin chye - credit to ourselves haha), no big issues with working with her.

    Hihi pbtgal,

    Yes, the application is still in progress. My contractor told us that he expects to do that last as the procedures usually takes very long. Hee.. Its quite small after the wall is built. On paper, its 4sqm. :)

    Then i am lucky cos my resale came with the recess and we decided to change the main door position to cover the whole recess so that more privacy and bigger area for my son to run away.

    Thank you. I am happy with all the cabinets except for those in the kitchen. May ask ID to change them as they look a little yellowish.

    Latest quote now is a little more than $37K. Hope no more addition.

    If $37-8k is very reasonable consider the tons of carpentry to be done, hee.

    Good to know everything are in order for u ....... seen like our lighting concepts are pretty much similar ya ..... PLC downlight for the bathrooms & Kitchen makes alot of difference to the ambience ;)

    I did a quick walk down balestier road liao, we skipped some shops though and lightings.com.sg is one of them, anyway, we'll be getting the simple lights, nothing fanciful, should be just between $20-80 each kind... but yet to finalise... tiles also see on our own before but will have to see if there's new stock... i think i should ask her when we should look for these stuff... haha..

    Ya best ask Lynn. I think for tiling wise can go nearer to select when your reno starting, maybe u will see new stocks.

    anyway pbtgal, you mentioned b4 that Lynn brought you to see lights?! How early was that? b4 reno, or during?! I'm wondering what and where to look now with almost 2 months to go

    me and hb too excited liao, we confirmed tiles and lightings very early. But no harm for u to take a look for some references. However, to be frank hor, Italu does not carry alot of collections and their price is expensive tho' their service is superb. I regret for not doing enuff research on this. I think you can go Lightings.com.sg @ 515 Balestier Road and i know forkie bot his lights there, cheaper and nice lights there. U can visit their website to take a look 1st.

    Not going to get a lot of 3D pics, maybe just this and one toilet's since I'm not doing much carpentry...

    Asked ID to add in a chimney hood and some bars to hang things above the sink and see how it will turn out..

    How do you all find the color of wall and cabinet?! The rest of the 3 walls supposed to be off-white though, only that wall will be the 'zing' color... floor tiles yet to choose, ID put in that color herself...

    Simple & nice. Ya, if u dun cook alot, get hob with 2 burners will do lah. My current home got 3 burners but 1 is redundant.

    yea, they are in the midst of settling it, so it is settling, else there is no need to call back...

    going by what you said on the can, wont, must, not, then you shouldn't ask me what theory it is when you yourself come up with another theory that doesn't relate... tyvm... free = have time to post, you don't know what theory?! you not free then come and post lor...     no worries on their workmanship. So far we are very satisfied with the workers' speed & attitude. Personally i like the electrician team the best as these 4 大汉are full of smile. But overall no complaint about her teams of workers except the painters are a bit slow lor.

    To add, other forumers using Ideal House will sure agree with me on their workmanship, esp Mitlancer.

    Downlights and clove lights nice la !

    If i got $ i oso wana make whole hse as such so no ugly casing. :D

    But really too ex until i bth scold @#@!# ahahah !

    Lighting pts, installing and have to buy own downlights and tubes fwah very siong.

    So gave up down simple ceiling lights sua :P

    My chute now is blue color ! But think only is the sheet covering nia.

    If take out should be simple steel color lor hehe.

    We bot our lights with our ID - so that she can count the numbers of downlights & fluroscent tubes needed. But in the end we still mis-count but cant blame her, we keep changing our designs :P . Think she is very patient wif us till date. As my ID has good relationship with the shop (Italu Collection) she brot us to buy the lights, she will settle with Italu the balance to be delivered then we juz pay $$$. So not so mah huan for us.

    Yes, u r right when the sheet peel off, the chute is a plain stainless steel piece of thing.

    pbtgal, your rubbish chute is really pink or is that pink removable?! Lynn told me that there is it is removable plastic sheet when I told her have color de.. anyway, mine is going to be hidden, so not too fussy over color for chute...

    When i told Lynn i want pink or purple rubbish chute, Lynn laughed at me. She told me every chute comes with a removable sheet, so choosing colour not necessary as the sheet will peel off eventually one.

    The black tiles with floral design, is nice. Any particular reason why cannot shift the chute?

    Oh the black tiles - ya my favourite but exp and that's why cant ask for more. My ID always told me dun overdo lah if not will not be nice liao ;) . Actually i din know can shift the position of the chute but i like the current position now :P .
