    Ideal House - Lynn
  1. Think my reno finally come to the finishing line, at least for now. Infact, there is still 1 outstanding item - the safety railing which the PE did not chase my ID for it. We paid our very last payment last Saturday and received our certificate of warranty from Ideal House. Just a simple rating on our ID and her company - Ideal House. Overall, we are quite satisfied with Lynn's service and i will give her a 9/10. Initially, i find that she has some attitude problems to the extent that i asked my hb to liaise with her . However, she is pretty efficient with rectifications on our project, at least. Pricing - 9/10. Ideal House is quite reasonable except i find their quotations for wardrobes and feature wall a bit on the high side. Looking at the extent of the reno works given to them, we are quite happy with the final quotations + foc items. Tiling works - 9.5/10. I think Ideal House is very strong in this. My friends who visited us commented that they did a good job which made me understand why Lynn keep praising her workers on this. But the shifu abit stern looking Carpentry - 9/10. Quite nicely done except the workers have some attitude problems. But kudos to them, they are the team that work till near midnight on our last lap of rushing to move-in. Electrical works - 9.5/10. I like this groups of workers best. They are very friendly and hilarious. (The only group of worker which i treated them to snacks .) Painting - 7/10. If i have the time and money to spare, i might engage someone else to do the job. He was extremely slow, taking his own sweet time when we were all rushing to finish asap. He is the only one who needed so many breaks in between. Not that we dun allow the workers to rest, but if you see others working hard, dun u think u need to do the same or at least take lesser breaks. Plumbers - 9.5/10. Another groups of workers whom we can joke with. They are helpful to even install the many paintings (11 in total) we had bought. Cleaning - 8/10. This worker is abit better than the painter. However, communication break-down causes some mis-understaning, luckily its not a big issue. In summary, we will definitely recommend Ideal House (not necessarily our ID) as we find the other IDs are friendly too. Think we manage to make some of them laugh when we were at the showroom discussing with our ID.
  2. Hmm, wow lately she muz b very busy lor. Shall wait for your pics then.
  3. Hi Forkie congrats, your reno turns up very nice. I like the matching colours of your sofa set & the curtains in the living area. BTW, if u calling the Helping Hand, can ask for Bobby's team. We used them twice when moving for my parents and ourselves, very good and professional service .
  4. Hi beruang.ndut Your dining set very class and nice!
  5. I hate ID with no inputs leh. For us, i must compliment my ID who come up with her own suggestions. Tho' we did not accept 100% but muz say some of her suggestions are rather useful and make our life much easier. Maybe u should talk to your ID liao. We moved in with o/s works and its a chore to clean up after works done, hate it!
  6. Think since u painted it white, it seems to flush well with the wall colour. I think i will do something similar for my parents' room if i can cos the wire still messy despite i coil them as neatly as possible liao. DIY is fun but not easy. Hope u dun mind if i show this pic to my ID, wil disturb her soon hee.
  7. Hi Reiki The electrical trunk makes the place looks very neat . Hmm, think i have to make a trip down to the hardware shop to liao. Did u ask your contractor to fix the trunk for you or u diy it?
  8. Due to the box up of the ugly big piping in the mbr bathroom, our vanity mirror is 'L'-shaped: Last pics for now, i put up a wall sticker at the foyer so that the whole house see some vibrant colours. Closeup of the sticker:
  9. Agree. I can understand if we have to chase until our hand ache (for pressing the mobile too many times), till the throat dry (for keep talking and talking) and get all the heart pain and frustrations in the end. However, i must say your house turned very very nice with many thumb up pics. U moved in already right?
  10. Rack below the TV done in my parents' room: Purposely asked ID to make the rack more child-friendly with curved edges. The 2 bedside tables in the mbr: Visual and audio sets in place in the MBR:
  11. Though our living room is quite complete, we asked our ID to add a 'S' Shelf for display purposes. Complete living room with the 'S' Shelf: Thanks to my ID and her workers, they help us to hide most of the wires, making the place looke so much neater. Bedside wooden ledge (1 on each side of the bed) added for my parents:
  12. Been a while since my last update. We have moved in to the new place for 1.5 months already. Though there is nothing to WOW about the design, we love our simple and cozy lodge, even my toddler now prefer to stay at home than to go gai gai Some works were carried out after we have moved in. Some pics were uploaded, pls ignore the mess in some of the backgrounds. 3.5ft tic-tac shoes cabinet at the recess Interior of the shoes cabinet There is a flap in one of the shelves which can be opened should the need arise to repair/adjust the pipings behind the shoe cabinet:
  13. But my may be an isolated and complicated case which is no fault of Lynn or ours - its the HDB! As for the handles, juz happened we broke one so ask her to replace all for safety reason. However, she is rather efficient with her after-sales service.
  14. Ya, u believe that my reno not fully complete? Today, her worker came to install grilles at my balcony and we have paid her to replace my handles for all windows and this will only be done next week (hopefully) .
  15. Hi Fellow Lynner, Your reno started right? How's the progress so far?
