I dun see her ard unless there's trouble lol. So since the carpenter is there, might as well talk with him directly can do on the spot. Plus he should be more experienced.
-
No prob. Looking forward to ur posting! Yeah I understand sliding is not convenient but no choice when i dun want to give up more space for the door to open.
-
And here's my Feature Wall. Instead of a big shoe cabinet, I split the area into 2 sections. Cos I feel tat if I do not have so many shoes, it'll be a waste of space. So the first pic with the shelves facing the living room, it will be a storage area for photo albums, liquor, or watsoever

My TV Feautre Wall and Console Need your advice. Do we ask the capenter to cut the hole at the top / bottom / side of the console for the wires like modem, SCV box etc
-
My ugly kitchen. I dunnoe whether I want to regret taking grey. It looks so much like blue. Holes for my Cuozino hob and Franke double basin.

How does the door limit ur depth? Sliding doors for small space like mine Actuali you can check with ur ID. Sometimes some IDs willing to give you sliding doors at no additional charge. A matter of negotiation and of course how much biz you give them. Yup. I design the interior myself. The capenter did the measurements based on my drawing. He jokingly say that I very 'wu liao' haha. But then I really put in alot of effort. Open up all my present wardrobe, look inside at the things that I have, so I want to organize my stuff neatly instead of piling everything together like a mountain of rubbish. I oso took measurements of the gaps between each shelves! Cos standard off the shelf shelves' gap is 1 ft (30cm) which I hate. Cos when you put too many stacks of clothes to maximize this 1 ft space, it becomes so difficult to find ur clothes. So I prefer a smaller gap so I only can put few clothes (smaller stack).

You mean the main switch? I think got turned off. Later go double check again. I think cos you pasted the notice there, make it more tempting for one to break the rules. Guess you jus have to speak to their supervisor or your contractor that you dun want this to happen again lo.
-
But can you see how small my bedroom has become after tat big wardrobe. Jus enuff space for my queens-sized mattress and some walk way for both sides. lol.
-
I measured the depth of the wardrobe. The one for putting clothes is 21" (53 cm), if not the clothes will be crumpled when you hang your clothes. The depth from wall to wardrobe door is 29.5" (75cm / 2.5ft). It's deeper cos of the gap btw the air-con ledge window and the back of the wardrobe. Then another space used up for the sliding track. See whether you can understand from the photos. Can you see how much space is used up cos of the 3 sliding tracks (for 2 doors and 1 mirror)] then this is the top tracks the white one for the mirror and the top black one for the 2 doors. This is a close up of the top 2 door tracks.

Hee thanks mrspiglet being the same supporter for white laminate lol. Well my aircon remote control is not even in the house. It may turned out that the aircon really auto on cos of the faulty electronic control tat activate the sensor or watsoever. The water leaking is cos there'a a plastic cover protecting the aircon so the cold air cannot escape. Anyway the faulty electronic control is changed. Just that there's this emergency on/off button that the technican cannot confirm whether it's being pushed too hard by someone who turned it on or that during installation the air-con was knocked, causing the button to be stuck inside the air-con. Lucky the button not broken off, if not I sure scream. how to replace! As for the workers using the bathroom, I guess maybe urgent, so cannot wait. lol. But ur bidget spray how? i mean if they deny how to claim back the repair costs?

Hee.. Yeah she's happy with the room. Well for the depth i thot is standard 2 ft? Though may be more since have to cover the air-con window. Will check and get back to you. Cos i'm oso curious. There's only 2 sliding doors. Very big (4ft long x 8 ft tall). My contractor very nice gave me a 2 ft wide sliding mirror inside the wardrobe, so there will be 3 tracks on the wardrobe. Will take photo later to show you more.
-
well ur wardrobe is oso big what. (but big space means more space for clothes right haha) But you so lucky ur air-trunking so neat.
-
It's actually 9 ft long. To me it's BIG. Well the big air-con trucking in the grey room is acutali my MBR lo.
-
I designed the interior thinking of the things I want to put in my wardrobe. But din expect the wardrobe to be sooooooooo BIG tat it really eats up quite a bit of my platform space. See the first pic with a side cupboard. For me to put my bags, towels and bedsheets. 1st column ------- A top and bottom clothes rail 2nd column ------ Shelves and 2 locked drawers 3rd column ------ Long clothes rail plus 4 pull-out drawers and shelves again. Hopefully the design is practical and enuff space to stuff all my rubbish.

Ok I wanna show photos of my capentry. Please feel free to give comments k! In my kitchen, the concealed box was removed, showing the ugly pipings and covered again by my cabinets. Hee Then my MBR with my giantic wardrobe.
-
Thanks guys for the advice. But too profound for me to understand these technical things. Well ordix, i sure have no idea how the water and gas pipes are run. As you said, lucky the trunking are not hidden if not I Today the air-con technican coming, so must ask him to check the other 2 air-cons. h4happy, I definitely learnt my lesson. After tat leaking day, we turned off the main power. We dunnoe how to turn off the air-con, even had to call the salesman for help. so pai seh.
-
well tml the air-con technican coming to check lo. but i already upgrade my pipings to thicker inslation lo. Aiyo like so lousy waste $ upgrade.
-
Actually talking abt air-con. My hubby and I had a terrible shock when we went home last Sunday. The air-con in my son's room was on and the laminate flooring was wet. The laminate wrapped as it seems that the air-con was on for several hours. can see a bit popping up? The air-con was not on when I checked on Friday night, so only the workers came on Saturday to do the acid wash and delivering the cabinets. Both parties denied turning on the air-con. SO I have to get my air-con installer to check whether the air-con turned on by itself. Hopefully there is no charge since I only installed it 2 weeks ago (stil under warranty). But I'm afriad the air-con life-span is shorten cos of the leakage plus the electrical bill! My contractor quickly offer to change my laminate flooring when I told him about the wrapping but I guess I have to wait until the air-con technican comes down to explain what exactly happened.
-
Hee thanks zonkkie it's actually flowers patterns Laminate from LamiTak. Well i saw neighbours with same layout as mine whose aircon trucking really look so much neater than my MRT track. But it's done so jus accept lo. I should have printed my research out beforehand. YES mrspiglet it's so sweet though I'm afraid it'll turn yellowish cos of the white and it's so near the window. But heck care la. Nice nice first
-
But there's still unpleasant experience. like my ugly air-con trucking. Didn't print out my research on my neighbours trunking layout, so let my contractor decide, which leads to this. Though fortunately I should say is that with the paint on, the trucking dun look so hideous.

It has been sooooooooooooo long. So many changes in my house. Well my painters turn out to be 2 foreign workers from Mynmar. I've forgotten to take the living area but I was disappointed to still see patches of white on my brown wall. My contractor told me the painters had already painted 3 coats and will touch up again after the capentry is up. Guess they want to save paint by skipping the areas behind the TV feature wall. I'll skip directly to the painted rooms with the level up at the window area. I love my daughter's room - pink with flowers My son's blue room with black vertical stripes Lastly, my room but level up not completed yet. It's actually a darker grey but photo seems to show brown. hmmm
-
But I thot the width of the grouting line should be even. If not looks weird on the floor with some having thick grouting lines and others with thin ones. Painter dunnoe yet. Next Monday do air-con installation. So Tuesday then do painting. Plus contractor dun let me choose lol Told me all her workers good ones
-
Well my son's only 3. I dun dare trust his judgement. LOL Hee. Hopefully the 2 monsters can refrain from destroying those lovely walls.
-
This is the colors that I chose for my living room. Mocha Delight as the featurewall and Orchid White. My MBR with Silvermink as the featurewall and Snowfield as the surrounding. My daughter's bedroom will be Doll House (Pink her favorite color at this age - PRINCESS ) My son chose ORANGE but no way I'm gg to let him chose that. So I chose Forever Blue lol
-
Pinklady I dunnoe the standard guidline, hence post the pics out. Actuali can see increasing thickness from the T-joint to the sides. If it's the norm then I'm ok with it. Cos white grouts can be a nightmare as the bigger the gap, the easier it gets dirty. And thanks pinkpetter for the explanation. But won't those paper get stuck there when the cement dry?
