Well I know abt this mcys website but then I was only aiming for those centres that are of walking dist like the one at the HDB office and Queenstown CC (Ok i admit I'm lazy ) I dun realy dare hire a maid or stranger to look after my kids plus want them to spend more time being expose to other children and of course longer hours of studying. I guess I'll jus try my luck whether I can get to register her for the centre at Queenstown CC (pray there are enuff attendance to start the class). BTW. Anyone can let me know after these few years, which broadband provider is better. SingTel or StarHub? SingTel - have to pay 3 months once subscription fee for the ADSL but at least fixed line StarHub - Free residential line but scared with so many users, the internet speed will be very very slow Pls advise on this since the PC show is now on. Hi Actuali I need clarifications please. KIWI KLEEN Glass cleaner is used to clean the glass window panels. Why cant we use it to clean our shower panel too since it's also glass? Why use Magic Clean? For cloudy black homongenous kitchen floor tiles that look more greyish than black, how do we mop it? Bleach? Please help. Thanks.

for the full day child care, i'm not so worried. there's another one at Queenstown CC. It's the after school care for my next year P1 girl tat I'm having a headache. Cos the HDB sparkletots do not have after school care service while the Queenstown CC may or may not have the service for next year as this year 2009, there's onli a 3 students (low attendance = cancellation of after school care class). Mothers here all sent their children to New Town Primary School since it's downstairs OR............??? Well, already installed le. Still haven't really get to use it (the system a bit faulty, big shower head and handshower both on at the same time, haven't have time to get the company's installer to check and retify) The water pressure wasn't strong despite living in the mid floor. Where's the gravity!

well i heard of tis method but scared it will choke or clot the cistern. Cos the bottle is bulky item. cannot control the flushing system at all, jus a gentle (really very very very gentle press) the button like very loose, go all the way down to plush all full 6 litres of water even for liquid waste. Heart pain.

hi all, on the note of using HDB provided toilet bowls, I notice it doesn't have half or full flush. Hence, it's always wasitng 6 litres of water jus for liquid waste! Will HDB change it for us or you guys actually installed ur own flush system? (talking abt saving water when the flush system is not )

We bought the same from Desmond. Well mine oso not sealed. Though I haven't start using it, it's really heavy lo. SO the glass hob doesn't move at all. I guess since our contractors different but both oso dun seal our hob, then sld be no problem ba. My contractor said it's to avoid the warranty being void sth like tat

But pls remember if you are buying ur own runners, you have to inform your carpenter beforehand in order for him to take into consideration the measurements of the cabinets and drawers. Cos there are long and short runners of different length for big and small drawers etc. If not buy le, cannot fit in, very wasteful.

I notice there's only 2 childcare centre around our area within 1 km distance. 1) Blk 46 Tanglin Halt Road and 2) Queenstown CC For those mums who are working, please help. How do you settle your kids who are in primary school? Blk 46 do not have after school care. Queenstown CC currently do not have after school care cos they do not enuff kids to form a class. Pending next year attendance to decide whether to start one. SO, working mums with primary school kids at Tanglin Halt who do not have in-laws and maid, WHERE do you girls place ur children? Thanks for the tip! But I thot the water bag is more flexible then the coca cola bottles? In the sense it won't occupy too much space and block the cistern? So the water bag really useless for new HDB toilets la. haiz But then why HDB toilet dun provide half and full flush. Every time seems to waste whole 6 litres of water jus to clear liquid waste. So wasteful! Out of topic here, so you guys change the flush to half and full flush? DIY or get plumber? Any recommended flush button/pump to get or method to reduce the water wastage?

well we pay for quality. As least it's really value for $ and proven to be really rust-free by buyers in the forum. I too din buy Song Cho cos hubby dun believe in spending hundreds for S/S. But time will prove him wrong By then I can slowly replace those inferior S/S one by one with Song Cho. haha Go slow la. Dun buy all at one go cos very 'siong' I tried MaCe's advice to use 3M S/S Clean and Polish and spray on all my metal accessories. Hopefully as he had said, it'll be easier to clean in future with tat layer of protection and my lousy S/S won't rust so soon haha I dun have to call. The CSO actuali very patient and blunt. She told me straight that she can simply ignore me if she does not understand my stand. Hence, she really made the effort to call her manager in HK HQ to repeat my refusal to accept a verbal agreement tat the sofa will not be torn despite long term usage. Hopefully a common understanding can be reached btw the manager and me. I just want a guarantee on tat small portion, not the whole sofa wat. haha

I just called PUB after ur 2007 post. THey still have the thimbles and water bags. But really differentiate btw new toilet bowls (4.5litres) and old ones (9 litres with the cistern on top of ur head w/ the pull-string method) SO MaCe, did you get ur waterbag and really flushing no problem with the bag despite the small water tank? The water bag won't occupy too much space inside meh? So did you get the water bags in the end or try the bottle method? yeah PUB very strict. They check the delivery address check wthether it's old flat before they willing to post out. Wanna save water still need to go through these questionings aiyo Anyone with new water cistern who is using the water bag. Can share experience? Thanks

hee i think many people like tis. I oso notice black glass, mirror or anything reflective and glossy means high maintenance. i dunnoe how long my interest can last to keep the new house neat with the 2 monsters ard. i prefer windy at night leh. cos during daytime not at home wat. I guess tat means turing on the aircon and fans for longer period of time le. Aiyo waste electricity. haha

hi smallboy, Need to check with you since we using the same carpentry company. same design pull-out drawers too! At the end of ur pull-out drawer, when you press down on the base, does it make a creaking sound? Mine felt as though if I push the base too hard, it will drop. My contractor say put heavy things oso no problem. But off the shelves cupboard with drawers dun have such problem leh. Only my 5 years old drawers have tat problem cos the wood already rotting lo. (part of the base got detached from the drawer end) Hope you understand what I'm saying and verify for me whether customized drawers are really like tis. Thanks.
