  1. Seems like more stalls are closing down, I think the Bak Kut stall is down too.
  2. Hi, are you using laminate or wallpaper?
  3. As for Rack, Tony did a good job for my bomb shelter also. I fixed up the biggest one which is about $190. Slightly smaller one is $160, you can see his leaflet pasted on lift door and etc. Mine is the brown colour one.
  4. Ventilation Fan: Although there is only 1 window for common toilet. I actually split half of it to do up the ventilation fan. Air Con: You may go to IMM level 3, there are a few vendors like gain city etc which can offers relative reasonable pricing which includes installation for air con. Basically 9000 BTu for rooms will be sufficient and 18000 BTU or max 22000BTu for living is also sufficient.
  5. The brand is : KDK. It is one of the most recommended brand.
  6. If you are looking for inverter system 4, i think $4200 is expensive. Average price for Mitsubishi system 4 inverter is about 3.5k +/- I have installed the KDK ventilation fans for both of my toilets. I think this is good as it draw out moisture to prevent moulds & etc which form in the future. Especially when shower using hot water, vapours do evaporate and always cause the mirror filled with moist. With the ventilation fan, such a problem will not occurs.
  7. Best is to use gas heater, save electricity and water temperature is good. I'm very happy with my gas water heater. Cheers
  8. Hi ideasmith Can to take some snap shots and show us your renovated house and PD door.
  9. Hi welcome! Not much neighbours in 220C, finally added one more to our block.
  10. Our same block neighbour seems to be very little, mostly all from 220B.
  11. 1) Select the prefer brand. For me I prefer Mitshubishi heavy instead of Electric as they have more functions, initially I wanted Electric as there are alot of advertisement and etc. After doing some survey and analysis, I chose Mitshubishi heavy. 2) Energy saving. It must be 4 ticks (Go green, help to save energy) 3) Inverter or non-inverter. I go for inverter as it is more stable in terms of cooling capacity. 4) Air-Con Refrigerant R410A or R22: of course R410A as R22 is the older type of refrigerant. 5) bedrooms with 3 X 9000BTU + living 1 X 18000BTU should be enough. I think herbman has this useful link to Coolserve on the brands and selection of aircon, perhaps you would like to check this out.
  12. tfujiwara8, my advise is to engage a experience air con contractor. My place is using system 4
  13. There will be indication of the concel pipes, mainly for sanitary & plumbing concel pipes with tapes/stickers pasted on the walls to show how the pipes are laid. To caution on drilling into any concel pipes, you may refer to the as-built drawing given. As for gas piping, all gas service work shall only be carried out by the Licensed Gas Service Workers. Normally your appointed id/contractor who do the kitchen cabinet will know what to do and when to call up city gas to arrange for the gas piping installation. After the piping installation, a final pressure test will be carried out for the entire installation. You may refer to http://www.citygas.com.sg/pdf/Handbook_on_..._Gas_Supply.pdf for more details.
