Exhaust straight thru might not be good even if its de-cat or with operated muffler Not only exhaust, extractor also play a part.. i changed mine to equal length and forsake the legendary boxer sound.. =p Up pipe, mid pipe and down pipe, not forgetting the actuator and waste gate and a correct size turbo.. all work together to gib a good exhaust system Oh yah.. not forgetting BOV also.. to release pressure accumulated What ever is changed, nid see if the owner playing track/sprint/ or simply for loudness. o.0" ECU tuning depends on refresh, piggy back.. or a new stand-alone.. too many to list engine aside, handling also impt, alot of chocolate bar to put inside if playing track.. not forgetting a good set of gandong.. end up the car not comfy de.. cos can feel each and every stone on the floor... some people buy a 1.3 fit.. put 1.5 de block.. just chnage head.. or a 1.6 civic change to 2L block 1.6 head.. n they named it b20 themsleves its common le.. following the theory of do anything but dun get caught lo =D talk about cars, i can 4get who i m le =p

Errr.. my car is one of them =p but my hub n i are not beng/lian... we r decent garbermurn serburn i've seen those car de owner.. decent working adult.. pleasant people =D Its easy to see a beng car and a non beng car... modded car need not be beng.. i must say, the most things most beng car modded is just an air intake filter, or exhaust which they think is loud =p den some identity crisis stickers like , no offence, a non-jap cars with STI/RalliArt/TRD sticker and stuff like that.. but i park at my block side de.. not with the orange W n the orange beetle side.. though i enjoy koking my hubby head whenever i see it =D Congrats! we r official neighbours now! happy looking for lot after 8pm! bengs i dun see them around, cats alot lah.. they communicate with each others at nite de.. =p

Oh yah , 1 more thing to add regarding EM neighbours, They are more "Gan Dang" - potatoes, bananas which ever you call.. =D They speak ang moh.. thou due to my job, I should be a gan dang too.. but i prefer the native way of Hokkien+chinese+english

Inititially when we first moved in, my hubby and I got a 'quest' to talk to as many neighbours as we can. Cos we are the corner unit, den we get to walk past everyone... Initially there are a few units that we label as "stuckup" but as times goes by, we met them at the lift, along corridor even at their recess area.. There will be bound to be at least a "hi" I love it especially in the morning when i go to work in school. most units are open cos they are sending their kids to school.. its great to be great "morning" when i walk pass them. The corridors units tend to close their windows for privacy purpose. At times when their windows are open, they are at home, example, walking out of their kitchen or down the stairs, they will also say HI... Its funny la.. cos sometimes I when i walk pass.. I dun purposely look into their units mahh.. (at least i try not to)... Stuck up ones.. maybe got one or 2.. but not at my level de... we met at the car park, he blew his exhaust at me when we are crossing the road... He is driving an illegal turbo-charged LancerCS5 Maybe due to the fact that we play cars also lah.. over sensitive to blowing and stuff like that.. =p Once we also got 'requested', but very politely to turn off our engine cos very smelly n noisy affecting the lvl 1 neighbours =p It takes time to get to noe neighbours bah.. I have moved in here got half a year, and the last one whom we nv get to talk to and labelled 'stuck up' actually turned out to be super friendly when we met them at the lobby a few days ago.. =D

In the mean time, maybe you can ask your agent to speak to them about the consequences you are facing they they dun move out in time.. mean time.. get a 'compensation quote' from your contractor/id.. if they willing to pay.. den okie lor.. some1 gotta bear the consequences.. either the seller..or agent.. definitely not u.. work a way out bah.. esp when elderly are concerned.. just my 5cent =D

I got a nice number during April 08 de balloting too.. and the EM at Teban was available... It was a high floor corner, everythign went well.. till my hubby went to see the place... He looked out, though its facing the bend of the reservior, you can see 3 'joss-sticks' giving out smoke most of the time... Accessibility wise, also very bad, cos no nearest MRT.. nearest de = Jurong East, which is 15mins bus away... Kids go sch very mahfan next time Foreign workers alot too.. U consider bahh... Just my 5cents, You consider if u wanna see candy cane look alike joss sticks everyday bahh..

Hmmm Yeah, gotta look around the neighbourhood also, cos there are neighbours with very low tolerance of dogs. =Dh My Greddys is registered at the previous address I am staying, yet to transfer him. So far no problems. As you know, some people see big dogs, they buey song.. they will start to complain... Its all up to u bahh.. I have a friend who kept 2 GRs, 1 male and 1 female, in their 3 room flat. And they are still safe from complaints and any trouble from the authority. Getting a dog is not like buying a new furniture, you are its friend for life. Gotta consider if, in event the authorities nail down on you, are you going to give up the dog or not. There are alot of huge dogs out for adoption for the same reason. =D Small breeds works fine. Didnt expect I'll be walking a Dachshund around also =D. Given that their height and their length really attract alot of attention.. GRs are big, they eat alot.. really alot.. A small pack of food, that GR eat for 1 week, My Greddys can take the whole month to finish.. o.0"

Living in an EM doesnt give us any privilege with regards to bigger sized canine. I was kindda fostering it without any applicationof any approval.. There are alot of GR owners who kept their pals in their HDB. Guess its the "do anything but dont get caught" theory bahh... If i were to choose, I'll choose huskies over GR. =D German Shepard would be nice too...

Hi, I have parquet florring for my stairs and level 2. When we first moved in, my Greddys did 'missed-Q" and aimed at the wrong places like the stairs and stuff like that, We used the pets odour removal and it worked great! Even once where he poo-ed wrongly, and it didnt affect the parquet. Dogs make your house more lively... Thats exceptionally true my hb and I cos we have no kids yet. Once I had a Goldren Retriever at my place for about a month and the space is sufficient for that boy boy to run about. =D

Muffin is chrono de schnauser right? =D My hubby love schnauzer... We got a Dachshund in the end... At 10 years old, they have different needs, as compared to their younger days.. My in Law de 16 year old Silky Terrier spend most of his time sitting down when we bring him out for walks... =D

Chrono, I agreee with you =D I actually threw my washer in my 1st floor de toilet=p.. The area where you all put washer de.. is my dog pee pee area =p Anyway, for the square balcony, I saw a unit in jurong, near my InLaw, who actually put a platform above the balcony, just like a lodge, for chill-out purpose. Its like, sitting outside your MBR like that.. except the access to it is thru your balcony de ladder... Very nice... The platform, they buy wood make them selves de... There is a latest magazine which feature a EM with square balcony, the theme is black/white, The kitchen is very well done up... and the balcony too... I'll find out the name of the mag when i get home.. I buy almost every reno mag every month o.0"

familyof4, I am still saving for the day I can do my reno without taking loan... Lesser liability in future, for the days of uncertainties though recently my hubby de retirement been moved from 42 to 50 =D Still scared... ~>.<~

Pros and Cons for the Square and Rect Balcony, Suare Balcony is more spacious as compared to Rectangle Balc, but the Living Rm for the Sq Balc will be smaller definitely .... Some people from e Sqr Balc has problem hanging their laundry cos there isnt any pole holders. End up having to hang un sightly laundry in their beautiful balcony... Depends what u wan bahhh =D Enjoy your home searching... p/s.. Come be my neighbour in Bukit Gombak!
