  2. My Place is at Bukit Gombak where the Xiao Gui Lin is... But my Unit.. do not have any beautiful view other than kitchen.. lingerie... and errrr... corridors... Thanks!~ Hiera - 10k COV v good. high flr, supermarket etc.. wow.. those were also my conditions. But i paid 25K COV. not high floor as highest is 12th. my advise is to start as early as poss cos' you will really really be rushed once reno works start. Whatever planning u can do, whatever reading up, checking online, getting contacts etc... do it before you meet contractor so that u know what they are talking abt and u dont kena cheated.. my high floor is actually so-so de high floor.. not those super high de.. 8th floor only.. Just a little sharing.. My estimated 2nd appt is some where in the 1st 2 weeks of Dec.. I allowed seller to stay for a month.. Which is latest by 2nd week of Jan they have to move out le.. However, My seller has requested to stay till Mid Feb.. reason being its CNY period.. She dun wanna shift house.. But I see that the 1st half of Jan to shift away isnt that bad right.. cos CNY is around 20++ of Jan 2009 So sad... I am so eager to get the house.. and on another hand.. my seller has no place to stay.. The even applied for the recent balloting cos they thought they have about 3-4months after 2nd appointment.. My agent has protected us by asking them to sign an agreement stating that if they over stay.. they will have to pay a "market rental rate" to compensate our loss of stay...
  3. Byr: That was a very informative one! I managed to get my unit at 10k COV and I find it a steal already... Cos it meets all my expected criteria: 5min to MRT, High Floor Corner, Supermarket Though the fact that I will have to do an over hual to the whole unit.. But at least, it would be a reno-design that we want~ I m kindda.. or rather, very excited... Its my 1st appt tomorrow!
  4. I am busy with work cos Exams round the corner.. Marking marking marking.. and lotsa marking to do.. I spend my free time with my precious HotDog... The 1st owner is staying there for an extra month without paying rental.. but I did mention to the agent that if they would stay for a 2nd month.. I will have to ask them to pay $$ le... I dunno what I wanna do to the house.. so if i go and ask for quotations.. kindda odd also.. Mean time.. i bought alot of reno magazine to read ahh .. hhehe

Actually if you r looking at low cash.. you can look at the 600+ area.. cos usually I saw that they look at rather low cash due to its high valuation.. 121 is good too.. just across the road.. there is one at 526. you can take a look .. find it at st701.. Sorry guys.. been toooo busy to even reply.. I've got a new member to my family.. a Saussage Dog! A Daschund.. beeen too busy .. busy busy~
  8. Too busy with school le.. really no time to find quotations.. Do we 'walk-in' to the shops or call/email to ask.. cosi dun have the actual pics of the house.. den I am still looking around at the reno ideas... In the mean time, I have a wonderful suggestion from my In-Laws... Suggested that I rent out the Mais for a year or 2 cos we r not in a rush to shift in... Collect rental.. den no nid take loans for the reno le... Cos current savings.. no an amount todo a good over haul.. I m not sure of the rental laws.. only know i cant rent out the whole flat... I was thinking.. its the best time to rent also.. cos.. no nid to worry the tenants damage any part of the house.. (except for the 2nd floor de parquet la) Does any one have this idea b4? Pros and Cons? Does any one know anything about the Rental Law thinggy ? Mean time, I am looking at more reno ideas... =D

  14. Thats what happened to me.. i bought it cos i dun wanna wait.. it took about 1 working day for them to send me the wrong one.. LOL.. and one afternpoon for them to get it right... I saw a nice sofa one Home&Deco... Dunno can fit into the living room not.. Its a 4 seater.. with leg long leg rest at each end.. Can have big family meeting le.. Heee U are so fast.. u even see dining table le.. BTW.. can anyone explain the process of searching for a contractor? I just explain to him i nid to hack flooring living/kitchen/toilet... den he will quote for me ah ? Will there be any form of obligation pressure? Very scared of such..
  15. WAH! Even if it is 22X, if the place is ok and my wife likes it, i guess shouldnt be an issue. I din know there is another swimming pool in BB area. I thought mine was the only at St 22. Wow spend a year looking.. but i think if you found your dream place and what you want, its still worth it la.. I am taking my time but if the price and location is right.. why not.?? hehe Actually u can look at gombak area.. Like that neighbourhood.. CC.. super market.. MRT.. sports stadium.. Moutain (thou small small de) Not so expensive also... we can be neighbours! 2XX is good also.. walking dist away from BB MRT.. Hehee

  17. I love fishes as well.. Currently set up at tank at my dad's place.. Kept neon tetras.. cos i wanna keep plants... Goldfishes.. I love ranchus! The silly-looking dorsal-finless large headed fish! Yeah.. can keep plants.. they will uproot them.. =(

  22. Finally I have the actualy Floor Plan! Original Floor Plan: And the current floor plan: Circled ones are the modifications done my the seller (or prev owner) Dunno how to go about drawing a bath tub in the toilet .. Managed to edit the walls only Balcony and living room merged... As far as I can remember... these are the walls gone/modified...
