    EOS 450, me too. kena before this kinda thing. last time even worse, stayed at my MIL house when our house were under renovation, were having some problems and etc etc. so i'm basically under the mercy of my MIL. she nags when i get home late, she nags at my clothes, my too many pairs of shoes, nag at my dog being naughty etc etc etc. basically when i'm almost going to explore, i would call HER SON, who's my husband to nag back the same thing at him!

    When my hubby buay tahan, he would talk to his mum. after a while, it will be okay. but then after sometime it starts again and again. sigh, what to do, just have to tolerate her lor. i would be angry, but wouldn't confront her, so everytime she nags, i would REN (tolerate) quietly, and complain to my hubby

    boringgal, if your flat is more than 25 yrs & above, i really think you SHOULD not overlay your tiles. becos my flat is also in a original condition more than 32 yrs. and although heart pain i did up the new tiles and new waterproofing & all the works again. including new wiring......heartpain also no choice. gotta do it. u dun want ur newly renovated flat to get short circuit right?

    Oh & btw, i got a good electrician contact. but i have to dig. u want?

    btw, do rem to buy fire insurance (the upgraded version) also!

    Simon, your boy is sure cute leh! i myself MIAed for so long in RT, now come bk to bring gd news. i am expecting........but realized all these bb stuff costs a bomb! so shocking.........have oredi run to msia to stock up on baby wipes, clothes and bb bottles (avent) bought from bb fair. i tink that i am fainting from all these kinda spending! Do you have any gd lobang for 2nd hand bb cot?

    hey hey i went to a local neighbourhood shop located in AMK, directly opposite the dog run at Bishan Park. quality is not bad, and pricing is quite reasonable too. the shop name is called S&C. i have bought my wardrobe with them and tv console. lastly i even managed to save about $500 on my wardrobe, which is exactly the same thing i saw in other bigger shops.

    washing machine base cfm have to be more than ur machine meh. somemore normally they will ask what type of machine u buy, and to tell them the measurements. so now she got get her workers to come and do liao?

    Oh my, rgd the solid top, any explanations from ur ID? so u have moved into ur new hse liao huh? congrats hor

    By the way, Doremon 'long time no see' i thou your reno have started oredi! Now then get quotes huh, when u expected to start your reno and then ur completed timing to contractor is how long? normally u need to give them some allowance for defects too. By the way, your quote is not clear, ask ur contractor to give an itemised breakdown for EvErY item... I have doubts on the below too. What brand u r being quoted? as far as i rem, last time i went to get Voringer quote directly from the supplier, they quoted me super ex. becos it really is the highest quality as far as i know comparing to e other brands. lastly i used Pergo family range, lowest range, but made in msian. so far so good. :)

    "German Technology" heavy duty laminate flooring (To specify)? then how long warranty? made in where?

    Acid Cleaning/Chemical washing = can ask for Foc

    Danto Japanese mosaic (What's that)? how it look like, made where?

    ""Anti Stain"" super polished homogeneous tiles, really Anti-stain? sure or not? then super polished, will it be slippery when there's water spillage? ask ur contractor abt it.

    As for Painting, how many rooms included, ceiling included? the base coat how many? coatings of paint, they paint how many times? how many type of colours can be choosen?

    Relocate gas pipe, NOT possible to be foc. you will have to call and arrange yourself. for switching off and turning on, Live Gas. becos its quite dangerous to have LIVe gas on, when they reno.

    No electricity works? no cable points no nothing?

    I've also noticed a lot of carpentry works ongoing, that's why the quote is much more higher. if u wana save costs, get a separate quote from trusted carpenters, then u can save more on this.

    been bugging since week 2... zzzz... well, she said HO tmr, I wonder if all will be rectified by then...

    If u really can close 1 eye, and open 1 eye, sometimes if the ID cannot finish the faults in time, then u have to move in first lor, then bug them everyday to come and do it..........zzz

    cabinet finally up le but because hob was delivered later and dunno how the solid top was cut, the edge of the hob is actually out of the edge of cabinet by 2mm or so :(

    everything is done le EXCEPT for rectifications that have been informed since week 2.. and very bad experience with ID's attitude/service... shall explain more later...

    thanks PreciousJam and SkyBlue for your help yesterday with regards to my renovation...

    Then u must bug your ID to recify all these faults ASAP, since u r in a hurry to move hse......

    No plastering, no floor tiles for rooms except kitchen and bathrooms, only bottom carpentry and already taking 6 weeks... is that consider fast?! Idk... but true lar, if everything hand over swee swee, then no problem lor...

    wow, then what did your ID tell u? they got tell the factory to speed up the work? after installation, also need to let the cupboard 'rest' for 1 day. the smell of glue is super strong

    I now understand why pbtgal said there were issues cropping up... My wife and I are having headaches and stretching our endurance over ID replies to us and way of doing things... Latest news is HO might be next Friday... Hopes everything is cleared by then so that I can go chiong sua with piece of mind...

    so MM, then how? HO quite fast leh, dun worry, normally in the end everything will be swee swee, and when u look back, you want wan to go thru e reno once again!

    Wrong Side?! Which is the right side? Mine also ave 3 :P...

    You know why wrong side or not? your is nearer to AMK Ctr, while mine still needs to take a few bus stops away. when i tell pple i stay at AMK, they always think AMK Hub there. so funnie leh, that's why they say wrong side lor :P:P:D

    Haha thanks :D Hopefully the false ceiling will be up by this week.. we havent gone for the shoot yet.. end of the month hee...can't wait...although I'm more excited about the shopping & eating 'cos its my first time to Taiwan haha

    We've been to the various furniture shops..nothing seems to catch our attention (while taking into consideration our budget)... hopefully our next shopping trip will be more fruitful *finger crossed* Cellini, Plush, Mode, IFC, Objet living, OM, Sofalab... :(

    Hmmm think the mattress was about 2k.. didnt know that for Robinson, if there's any sales in the future where the same mattress is going at a cheaper price, they'll honor the lower price for you until the day they deliver....

    Will sleep like a big baby hee :P

    so p3nguins, so long never see u update here. how your taiwan shoot? nice?
