  2. the fridge if getting the white is around 2.6k, stainless steel one is 2.8k...from one of the lobangs i had :)

    WC and basin is provided inside the quote, said can see from catalog to choose wor.. brand i think is otto.. but should be taking lah since its 'free' lol.. if buying on own also troublesome.

    think hafary bah.... overall decision is wife haha.. cos i told her kitchen cabinet i want to do bright yellow or orange.. haha

    oh ya.. my to buy list only left lightings and furniture almost forgot..

    then my mum got one lobang for a 7 pcs set toilet accessories, mirror is those non mercury ones... cost is abt $100+. is it worth?

    wah your lobang not bad leh, 7 pcs 100+, its quite a good deal leh. so where u bought your toilet stuff? furniture u planning where to buy? can try S&C yeah, also located in AMK.

  4. Gosh! Am really at STRESS.. time is so pressing.. and yet HDB 'mang mang lai 慢吞吞"..

    Here's the update..

    1) Once got the key, we quickly go to the unit and check the new house, within 3 days we submit to HDB for the process of rectify the house.

    2) HDB does call up within 3 days after I submit the form. But shared that need time to coordinate.

    3) I pester them to have a joint inspection thinking of cutting short of their so call checking, coordinate or processing time..

    4) 1 week later got the joint inspection date.. scheduling the following week.

    5) After joint inspection, shared that they need 4 weeks to finish the rectification work.. almost fainted..

    I pester the officer sharing we really need to do it asap any earlier date to complete.. he shared it's 10yrs house so much to rectify.. want to do the job properly does need so much of work effort n duration.. for rush work may not provide quality delivery..

    Then next I ask when can start work? Was told worker on leave wait for next week..

    I ask can do my reno in parallel? HDB officer said 'No, better not.Anything wrong, no guarantee..'

    6) manage to talk to worker on following week Tue, was told need 3 to 4 days to hack the wall and floor tiles.. and also give me an impression that they start work on Wed ..

    On Fri, then I realised worker havent even start work!!

    Time is clicking loud..

    Wah, when u bought your house is it through agent? my agent helped me to do everything. After inspection of the house, you should immediately tell the agent and the sellers agent for any defects. anyway, how can the defects needs 4 wks????? and the HDB officer, you should also pester him or her, and let them be fed up, so that he/she can call and scold the seller. You ask the seller, if u need so much time to do, then i need to stay at 'hotel' i send the bill to you okie? since i got no place to stay!!!!!

    Wonder if in the end if I chose Parquet whether such also applicable or not..

    By the way, do you have the stages or rather plan that you can share or PM me? which is sequential, which can be on parallel, and when to pay the reno?

    eg. 1) hacking 2) laying tiles 3) laying aircon gas and water pipe 4) laminate flooring installation 5) Do up cabinet etc..

    doremon, okay for parquet, more extra care should be given, compared to laminates. althou laminates also a bit mafan (troublesome). Emm, actually when u sign on the dotted line for payment, its stated clearly there. like before beginning of reno, u have to pay a certain percentage to cover costs for buying of tiles etc etc. As far as i remember, its confirmed Step 1, hacking begins, for about 3 days, that's as far as the HDB permit allows. Then plastering, then electrical works. after that laying of my kitchen tiles up to the wall including toilet floor and wall tiles too. after that, fabrication of my kitchen cabinet. calling the PUB to check on the gas pipes and HDB to check on the waste pipes etc etc.

    I remember the last part is the laminate flooring. very fast, 1 day and its done.

    haiz~~~need to add in $$ for the bathrooms...becos previous owner got the air-con tranking construct in the bathroom n the tranking soo ugly... :furious: No CHOICE, if got to make it 'less visible', he will ask his air-con guy to sort of 'hide' it....not sure how he gg to do it but he told hubby already....i dun really understand wat they toking....so long hubby noe, can already....and that's go the cost of $180 for each bathroom.... :(

    handed the keys over to him in order for him to bring his workings in on thur....

    Rem the silly 'big hole' corning in my living room? hubby decide to remove it and cut a bigger hole, make it a rect shape....same as dinning area celling....so that the celling wun looks that low....again...this not in the package...it's a add on...again, EXTRA cost...very considerate Hamed, he say he will let us alias with his contractor 'Directly' so that it will 'save abit'..... :good:

    wow add in money huh that's bad leh, but your ID very considerate leh, let u save some costs, can directly go to the contractor. if cut the mushroom hole to bigger hole, that is that hole going to be replaced by glass? i have seen my friends house, a rectangle square wall, fitted with glass, looks very cool and nice!

  8. rather spend the money elsewhere?! didn't i say i didn't want to spend that $1k+ on plastering?! Besides, if my unit enbloc, I'm just wasting money on it, think the reno cost to date is good for a at least 5 years duration le...

    want to pay for it for me mah?!

  9. yup they tend to moved one after 8pm, but they came by twice per day once in morning and once at night lol just for a gathering like a terminal :D

    wow really your thread is starting to get red hot leh, so fast 2 pages like what MerryMan have said. but night time is the most noisy, morning time no have leh, the gathering rite? yeah lor, envy envy i go Hub still have to take a bus leh

    my only concern is the birds that flew back for 'transit' during the day n night :sport-smiley-004: think u know where is my unit liao :)

    but its abit warm in the kitchen and utility rm area during the afternoon.

    yeah lor roughly can guess leh, hey the blk 347 there the roasted meat rice is very good, btw, go try it! its the 2nd kopishop, not e one near to the road hor.

    wah seh, ur home COV is oredi not really that ex! becoz i've got a bro who worked in real estate. prices can go crazy up till 35 to 40k, since u can see the AMK Hub!!!!! somemore u high flooring leh

    My mamee house somemore near to there. the utility room is horrible, very hot and no wind leh. then hor, the toilet door handle broke and spoilt a few times oredi, and the toilet flooring really unsuitable, becos very slippery. well, last time HDB standard upgrading was really v bad
