    Wife, myself and mother in law are daily internet user...so I have to connect in a way. Three of us can use in the 3 bedrooms and living room with wireless access as all our laptops are equip with that. So I don't know if the signal is strong enough a not. :unsure:

    Hmm..Angel81..so now u are using mobile broadband plug into router or using just the mobile broadband which mean only 1 person to use at a time?

    i also use mio wireless, no issues :)

    Hey u know what? I am so stressed. I am trying to correct my daughter's singlish and she will tell me, "Mommy, cannot say "lah", "hor" and "wah lau" when i speak to Hubby. Can u imagine? it was also discussed over radio that we ought to speak proper english...yada yada...

    my LO cfm cannot do L-shaped kitchen...unless I hack and change the LO of my kitchen which is a big no-no since mom and i do cook :P

    How old is your flat ? mine is more than 20 yrs old so i guess mine will die die have to do the rewiring :(

    Ben, u got check wire or not? if still soft hor...then its ok lah.

    yoshi master :P u also go check ur wores, if the seller did re wire b4, then u don't have to re-do. get the electrician to check once u confirm the job. They can advice better. mine both uncle and jason checked for me and confirm that no rewiring required. the ex owner rewired 9yrs ago when they reno the house.

    Yes, we have make an offer and still in the midst of price negotiation!

    As the old valuation has expired, think we have to re-do it at buyer's cost, true?

    What should be the procedure like? I know it has been repeated over and over in this website .. ha.. ha...

    I will ask my agent again - i am getting forgetful!

    interesting update...

    yesterday ah wei came over to rectify some of our carpentry things...our doors spoilt liao..can imagine that?? the "tik-tiak" door spoil after a few uses. Ah wei commented that he would never use something like what was used in ours. He's using something which is $3 each and personally, I do feel that they are much more solid and won't spoil so easily. Ah wei was professional and didn't commented on ah di's work.

    But he just mentioned what he would have done in our case...he would also have added laminate to the back of our TV console, which ah di didn't do. He had a look at the kitchen and said that he would also add 2 pieces of the soft-closing device per cabinet rather than 1 which ah di gave us...All the more I'm disgusted by the quality of ah di's work :bleah:

    ah wei did this out of service and said he didn't even get paid to help us this time as it's somebody else's work.

    Additionally, met up with uncle soon yesteday..he told us he no longer using ah di...coz he's causing his reputation to be smeared...ah di messed up 3 reno jobs and uncle soon even got scolded ++ by one as ah di delayed his part for a long time.

    Uncle soon also mentioned that his quality of work is poor and unacceptable...so stopping his work is a wise move in my opinion...

    ah wei is nice lah...he can reject the job since it is ah di's work :) applaud him for that :)

    I see ur house is really comfy n cosy...is the kennel's height a little to low?

    how pebbles is wash, or put onto. mix pebbles with cement and lay over, wait for it to set then use a sponge to clean up the cement layer on the top. this is the old traditional method which is used here.

    yes...i saw my tiler doing this...and this pebble wash is DIY-ed...very impressive!

    kmix hubby ask me to dream about it and pray hard he strikes 4D or toto then i can but...he says patissier still reasonable. my current mixer also after using 10 minutes died liao cos over heated...

    can u imagine if i get the same guy to redo the pebblewash,

    that i might get back the same quality?

    frankly, it was done by the best man they had, tiler ah hui.

    and come to think abt the gold shelf. if they hack off and break my stuffs how?

    basin n tap already $600+.

    meaning if redo my shelve alone, they will have to factor in $1000+ of risk.

    Clever contractor will find all excuses not to redo.

    understand...just hope no more hiccups for u...so who will do your carpentry? hehe

    settle ur pebblewash's 不完美 first and decide on the sealer later on :)

    Uncle provide for me and i really forgot about the cost cos i didn't receive a copy of my quote.

    That's the pebble wash for the entrance :)

    i also dun dare open mouth tell Mr Yeak to redo liao. things have become very strained n awkward.

    if apply sealer wont become slippery ma? ya i realised more n more dropping out.

    i was thinking really worse becomes worst, i will engage others to do it but bill to Basic Image

    which i dun think they will pay lor.

    Total quote was $16850 in the end and we had paid $16k in the beginning.

    somehow i do feel its all not so worth at all.

    hmm...how about getting someone else to do it and also bill to them? hehe...

    Initially i didn't want to apply sealer, but it is hard to clean and traps dust easily. then I went to hubby colleague's place, they have lesser problems with the floor cos they applied sealer and looks better cos there is a wet look :) maybe u can put a nice mat outside the toilet? I think it should be fine :)

    u paid almost everything upfront? i thought it is paid by phases...nvm lah...since already done also bobian...my osim huh? I am still pending my master to approve the budget :P

    Hey new, overall ur place still looks good :)

    as for the mosaics...if it is really their worksmanship issue and u can't accept, u can try to get them to re-do again. I agree it's ma fan lah...but end of the day u are paying for something u dun like leh.

    for pebblewash, i also do...beginning there were a few tiny pebbles fell off, but never like that and there was no noticeable holes athere...yours seems pretty bad. will u be applying sealer to it?
