we're planning to have an oven in our new place and i hope that i can be as hardworking as you people to bake every weekends.
we were told brands like ariston, bosch and brandt are good, but the thing is, we cant decide which is better!
can anyone recommand? we want those built in oven to be placed below the stove.

I managed to plough thru my blog pages and retrieve this. This recipe makes really nice fragrant pastry...
Ingredients:
•250g Butter
•2 tablespoon Sugar
•1/4 teaspoon Salt
•1 Egg
•400g All Purpose Flour
•1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
•1 Egg Yolk (for brushing)
•600g Pineapple Paste
How to do it:
1.Beat butter, sugar and salt till creamy.
2.Add egg and vanilla essence.
3.Mix evenly.
4.Fold in the flour and mix into a dough.
5.Roll dough between 2 pieces of baking paper till about 0.7cm thickness.
6.Refridgerate for 30 minutes.
7.Use cookie cutter or tart mould (those with an additional circle press) to cut out the shape.
8.Brush with egg yolk.
9.Baked in tray lined with baking paper for 10 minutes in preheated oven at 180C.
10.Remove tart from oven and add pineapple paste rolled in ball to the middle of tart.
11.Return to oven to bake for a further 8 minutes.
12.Cool on wire rack before storing.

Yes Angel, i used HBB's recipe Love both hers and aunty yochana's very simple and clear cut...good for an amateur like me
-
>_<" ok ok. better open to air... and still run hungry hippo to increase efficiency =pyes yes...u can try hehe...i still air it w/o the hungry hippo
-
put hungry hippo inside won't work mah? i was intending to put 2 boxes of those things in the cabinet under my sink... ...the ones I used in my wardrobes lasted me at most 2 weeks. If u put there...probably u need to change every few days le
-
one more point...are u going to open and close whenever u need to do washing??
unless we seldom wash...this idea is good, maybe we can use this as a storage for our used plastic bags to be recycled instead?if u really need to have a open below the sink as shown in the picture.
we also have to take into consideration the mechanism used for this...will it wear off eaily? This i am not very sure...never did any research before. but i used hydraulic for my dish rack at my previous house...after a while, it no longer felt smooth to open and i hate it when it just jump open.
-
Maybe they leave it open to air like thishmm...it's will still have moisture...i was told by ah wei's guy, to let my cabinet door under the sink open at nite to let the moisture in there escape so that the cabinet will tahan longer. I have been doing it once every few days...
-
Yup Yup...if you're unsure of anything regarding your big day, just ask. I'm sure alot guys and ladies here will be able to help you.for all u may know they have a bunch of very siao friends who will tekan them jialat jialat...no amount of "help" can be rendered le...

u using hydraulic for the glass doors?
u can actually consider box up if possible...this way, no dust will settle in there
the drawers i mean the tall unit de...i realised the easy part of my current drawers, easy to reach for stuff with sufficient space in between. If the sides of the drawers are too high, u may still need to pull out the drawers.
I also recycle ideas...i used small boy's pantry concept and i find it very useful for me
-
after discussion with hubby.. conclusion.. will engage Jason as contractor.. due to his prompt and on-schedule response time..hehe..
Glad u settle with Jason
-
the top part of ur door opening upwards will it have any issues with the ceiling? is the cabinet full height?
u using blum? else i think u can think if u need not have the sides of the drawers too high so that u can reach ur items easily...
i just realise the white glass very familiar leh...
