Hi pbtgal, Thanks.... me & my CO are hoping to create this resort feel ...... These tiles are within the standard range of $2.80 tiles most ID are providing. They brought us to this shop which have massive varities..... So just select those u like within the price range.

My tiling works is on-going ..... called her twice during these 2 days and she answered my calls without fail ...... she is quite professional in a way tht she did not make me feel tht she waited to cut short the call due to her break back in her hometown. She still revert my request to her workers here ...... Think she will be back on wed .......

We selected the 300 x 600 tiles ..... we believe using elongated tiles will give the "stretch" feel , thus making the bathroom look bigger ..... ......

Think this pilot project didn't meet its objective ....... end of the day, the owners gotta pay more for erecting their own walls to creative a layout that does not diviate much from HDB's original design too much due to bathroom & windows governing the layout..... (perhaps can try on my layout, somehow u gotta either sacrific the window view or the attached bathroom) Until there is a further breakthrough in the basic plain layout .... heard tht HDB will shelf this for the time being ......

Tilings for both bathrooms are 50% done ..... Kitchen likely to be tmr...... will post some pic tmr ......

No worries , as long u r comfortable with your Home Sweet Home.... it doesn't matter how major is the reno...... i'm sure everyone got their budget for reno ..... i'm lucky need not spend anything for the flooring & ceiling ...... so make use of that budget to do up e kitchen ...... The existing kitchen is nice but too bad the sink & hobs are on different sides ....... My CO & i will shed a couple of kilos if we retain the kitchen ..... as we need to do shutter runs when preparing every meal .......

Thanks ..... Personally I always appreciate lighting effects to enhance moods ....... adding some cosy feel to simple things .... Most areas like living hall, MBR bathroom & kitchen will be using downlights ...... MBR will be using tubes with the light box..... Hanging lights will be only for guest room & common bathroom ...... Hahahha..... really got no budget for expensive cabinates, so gotta make use of the lighting to create some effects lor...... Hope my this logic works well

According to the property agent ..... 24 units in total ..... all in our cluster of 4 blocks ..... 8 - 4 rooms, 16 - 5 rooms ....... I believe this pilot project is still under evaluation as these flats were completed 5 years ago...... Hmmm..... but i dun think i will change layout for the next 5 years ...... so no diff for me for the time being .....

...... Seems like quite a no. of pple fancy such flats ..... so should consider myself fortunate to own it ....... According to my ID, when she went to apply for permit in HDB branch office. The offical tolds her that ours is the 1st resale 5 room "white flat". And there is one 1 officer in charge of application of permit for "white flat" and she hv a prevailage to skip Q...... Hahaah........ she is so happy about it ...... Heard that my new neighbour just sold theirs a week ago ....

Pls dun say u r suaku ..... Actually this is a trial project of HDB...... i heard tht there are only 24 units in Sin..... all in Punggol ........ Actually pros and cons ..... if these "white flat" is for the mass ..... then pple gotta have addtional cost to erect the walls ..... Maybe HDB should do it like the options for doors & tiles concepts ...... owners will hv an option to choose whether they want their units to come with these optional yet chargable items ..... pay for what u want ..... so less abortive work & cost .......

Yup .... its more on configuring the right size rather than a creative layout ...... Heehee...... actually this one is more of my layout plan for the study room & wardrode..... Previously, the study room is their kid's bedroom ......

Yup .... its a 8 seaters, so there will b 8 cushions...... actually these cushion are more backing....as u can see the back of the sofa is relatively too low for comfort

Finally got our hands on this Sofa which me & my CO likes. Have reduced the lenght by 200mm to make more space for our dining table.

Actually, my house is a "White Flat" from HDB , so to say there are practically no walls for the bedrooms & hall. Its up to individuals on how they want to configure their layout. As usual, the MBR layout is very much govern by the location of the MBR bathroom. Hence, really not much creativities.
