  1. I need advice in this matter. My neighbour has been renting out the whole flat to foreigners. I have never see my neighbour live in this flat at all. The previous time is to rent out to a family from China. They are very aloof but still endurable. After this china family move out, the flat is rent out to indian/bangala guys. It is really horrible because there are always different people coming in and out of the flat at different times and there are always unfamiliar faces. They also like to talk on phone loudly outside my door till late at night. I am fine when they park their bicycle outside my corridor cos i though we are still " neighbours" so i endure. But i really cannot take it when they actually ask me to move my plant away cos they think it is narrow to walk. What is wrong with putting a pot of plant outside my own flat? It is not a huge plant! Cant they just remove their bicycle? Is there anything i can do? Where can i check whether this flat is rent out illegally or whether the owner did have license to rent out the whole flat? I just cannot understand why these people buy flat not to stay but to keep renting out and make money? Pls advise.
  2. i have an old Gas Water Heater left behind by the previous owner of my resale flat. I wanted to have it removed. I called up City Gas to ask about the removal and they say i must close my gas account with them and they will send someone down to check my gas meter and remove my meter. After that i can hire my own technician to come and remove the gas heater and gas pipes. Hmm... i am not using the gas to cook so i have no problem in closing down the gas account. But will it be troublesome if i want to reopen the account in the future and additional cost? Haiz... the customer service at City Gas is not helpful at all! All i want is to remove the stupid old gas water heater and its open pipes leading to the toilet! Anyone can help to advise me mah?
  3. I just move into my new flat a year ago... This neighbour living directly above my flat has been disturbing me everyday... They have huge plants (like trees) all along their corridor and everyday at 12pm this old lady will splash water at these "trees" and water will be splash to my corridor from above...( I have never see pple water plants like that) So my family have to avoid walking by the corridor ard 12pm and totally cannot dry anything at the corridor at all. The dry leaves from their overgrown plants will fall on my corridor and i have the clean them up when i am not planting anything. Everynight i will know wat time they sleep cos the moment they on their aircon, water will start dripping from their aircon onto mine. I could not sleep well at nite as i cant stand the water dripping sound on my aircon unit outside the window. Is this normal for aircon to drip water like this? I have been enduring quietly for almost a year although i do get upset at night due to the water dripping as i am a light sleeper. What can i do? I just hope they can be more considerate. Do you think the hdb can help in any way? Pls give me some good advice... Thanks..
  4. Well, they did deliver the other part of the sofa yesterday. The service of the salesperson in the showroom and delivery man is overall good. Like i say earlier i do not mind such minor screw up as i understand it happens all the while. What i am disgusted is the attitude and rude service from their so called customer service. I checked with the delivery man yesterday about the girl i spoke to. They said that that girl is always rude in the office too. Everyone in the office do not like her. Well, i guess its just my bad luck to be serve by her bah! Hahaha! I also like the design of their furniture but after this incident i am a little afraid to buy from them again bah... I guess it still depends on luck bah....
  5. 1st screw up: Recently, we bought a L-shaped sofa from V.Hive Jurong mega store. We ordered a mocca colour sofa. My instruction to them is to deliver the sofa after 1st July as my flat is not ready to have the sofa yet. This special request is even printed by the sales person on the receipt. Guess what!?! They deliver the sofa on the 26th June. Fine! I thought it is just a small neglect on their part hence i let them bring the sofa in. 2nd screw up: They deliver at 1pm. After they remove the packaging from the sofa, i notice another issue. As my L-shaped sofa is consist of a 2 seater sofa join with a long 1 seater sofa, i notice that the colour of the sofa they deliver looks wierd! On a closer look, i find that the 2 seater sofa is the correct mocca colour i have ordered. BUT the 1 seater sofa is of another model and black in colour and smaller in size!!! I ask the delivery man and he say he finds that it looks wierd too! Then he ask" so which one you want ?" Pls loh! Of cos i want the mocca colour i order mah! Then he say ok he will come back and take back only later cos he is rushing to other places. Guess what he returned only at 7PM! He said he will go back and inform the store about this mistake. Although i am not very happy but i still think that i can still accept such kind of mistake. 3rd screw up: Yesterday on the 30th June, i decided to call up the Jurong Mega store where i bought the furniture from. It has been 5 days but i have not hear anything from them yet. When i call them up, they say i have to call their customer service during office hours at the main office. They will not be able to do anything unless office give them a report on the incident. OK! I still buy that excuse as this sales person has been very polite when answering my concerns. 4th screw up: Today on the 1st July, i call up the main office customer service (CS). Me: Hello. CS: Hello. Me: Is this the v.hive customer service? CS: Yes. Me: I will like to make an enquiry on the items i bought recently. CS: Wait, give me your number i will get sherlyn to call you back. Me: Sure, my number is XXXXXXXXX. AFTER ONE HOUR, STILL NO CALL FROM THEM YET, SO I CALL AGAIN AND I AM FURIOUS ALREADY! Me: Hello, can i speak to sherlyn pls. CS: Wait ( and my call was transferred). Sherlyn: Hello. Me: Hi i called up earlier and they say you will call me back? Sherlyn: What is it? Me: I will like to check about my transaction number XXXX. The wrong sofa was sent. Sherlyn: Hold on. Give me your transaction number again. Me: My transaction number is XXXX. Sherlyn: Your sofa is still under shipment. Me: But they already sent the sofa on 26th June but half of it is in the wrong model! Sherlyn: I think you are looking for serene. She is in charge of shipment. She is on MC and has gone home. I am just taking over her. You have to call back tommorrow. Me: I have call up just trying to find out what has happen to my sofa. Why is my enquiry transferred from one person to another?!? Sherlyn: In that case i will transferred your case to my supervisor and my supervisor will contact you. Me: Ok thks! Note: I am just trying to find out what is going on with my sofa.. If they are not delivering then i am going to buy from another furniture mall. This is a mistake on their part but they put us in torture by transferring you from one person to another. Nobody wants to take resposibility at all. Most importantly their customer service is very very rude! Their tone is like none of my business! This is call customer service department service ah? Pls loh!I have contact and coordinate with many contractors and companies for my flat renovation but this is the worst service of all! Pls Pls next time you have the urge to buy furniture from V.Hive PLS PLS THINK TWICE. THE SAME THING MAY HAPPEN TO YOU!
