Since I complained the most here for the last few months. I must admit that I haven't checked Kelvin's bankruptcy status before I signed with him. Well, yes, you are right, I must bear some of the responsibility. However, that doesn't make a Returned Cheque from Kelvin Ng morally right. I agree with Angry or Happy that I do not know what are you trying to prove here. That you are happy to see us owners getting into trouble? That you are trying to defend Kelvin by exposing his private matter? I seriosuly doubt your intention. This is a place for information sharing, do your home work first before writing here.

Hi Angry or Happy, Good evening. You are definitely angry now, even after a few years. I guess if I were in your situation, very likely I would do the same. It really irritated me when Kelvin Ng started giving me all his reasons. After reading your post, it seems like Kelvin Ng's health problem has been an issue since few years ago. I hope it's fair to say that it is difficult for us to judege whether Kelvin was truly sick or what. We are not doctors... To be honest, I didn't expect Kelvin to behave like this a few years back. However, I hope you don't mind if I must say something for the "big pool of fans". I met couple of house owners who engaged Kelvin Ng as their ID previously. I truly believe that Kelvin Ng did a good job for them in the past. Those house owners have shown a lot of goodwill in allowing strangers like us visiting their home and intruding their private time. I hope you would agree with me that, they do not want all these to happen also. They are nice people.

Kelvin Ng actually complained about what Roger did. Wow, I sure hope Kelvin Ng was better than what he claimed to be. Hi Decade, Good day. Thanks for the advice. I must clarify that Kelvin did return 25% of the money. I try not to get too subjective/emotional when posting here because as a project guy myself, I know that so many things could go wrong in project phases. Just to name a few: supplier problem, personal problem, customer problem, financial problem, bla bla bla... Furthermore, as an owner, it is fair to say that I must accept certain risk in choosing people like Kelvin Ng to be my designer. That's why as long as Kelvin Ng settles this case professionally, I would not mind giving him another chance. We are all out for a living, no point destroying Kelvin Ng's reputation. However, Kelvin Ng just crossed the line I guess. To me, closing a current account after issuing cheque to creditor, without making any effort to inform the creditor, is definitely cheating. Kelvin Ng may claimed that he was in health problem or whatever so. But by doing the above, Kelvin Ng was definitely taking the initiative to cheat. He simply dishonoured his payment, by actively hiding facts from me. To all his existing clients, please be careful.

I sent a SMS to Kelvin Ng this morning, reminding him that the refund has not been settled according to date stated in Order of Tribunal (30Jun’09). I also mentioned that I would represent the returned cheque to bank today (01Jul’09). The reason being, by verbal agreement, after the cheque was returned for the first time, Kelvin Ng asked me to represent the returned cheque to bank on 30Jun’09, as 2nd installment of refund. However, upon receiving my SMS this morning, Kelvin Ng sent me a sms, asking me not to bank in the cheque, as the bank account has already been closed. To be honest, I didn’t know how a responsible person like Kelvin Ng could do this. Close the bank account after issuing a cheque, without making any effort to inform the creditor? Wow, Kelvin Ng is definitely redefining the boundary of “responsible”. A police report will be filed against Kelvin Ng in this case.

Hi Neona, Good day. I sincerely hope your renovation is going well. It is simply to painful to go through what I have been through with Kelvin Ng. No offence to you but I would like to clarify the following: 1.) Kelvin Ng was the one who choosed to terminate the renovation contract, when asked to put the schedule in black and white, after delaying my renovation schedule. It was his decision, his control. 2.) Kelvin Ng was the one who delayed my refund for 2.5 months, after he terminated the renovation contract 3.) Poor health doesn't lead to "Returned Check" 4.) Kelvin Ng made his own decision to start a company. How he runs his company is beyond our control. However, I hope it's fair to say that, I didn't create his problems. 5.) Kelvin Ng should solve his own problem; while I settle mine. 6.) If Kelvin Ng is as responsible as what you mentioned, he would have refund all my money. Instead of having us hunting up and down for extra funds to continue our renovation. 7.) All comments I made were based on facts like SMS/written documents/court order/contract. I agree with you that we need to be objective in judging Kelvin Ng. I shall let fellow forumers make his/her own judgement after viewing my case. However, the schedule for repayment is due tomorrow. Court order will be enforced if Artistic Design decides to delay the payment again.

Hi Decade, Good day. Thank you for your message. To be honest, I do feel angry sometimes. However, I guess it's not necessary to get too agitated by what Kelvin Ng has done so far. If I have a choice, publishing all these posts here would be the last thing I want to do. It does me no good at all. Like what I mentioned previously, I just want Kelvin Ng to settle the issue, in order for both parties to move on from here. I do not mind to give Kelvin Ng a chance but it seems like he is simply unable to deliver his promises. Imagine what we have gone through, hunting up and down for new ID and funds to continue our renovation. That's why I did get irritated by Kelvin Ng when he started telling me all his problems, which led to delay of payments. It seems like 2.5 mths after Kelvin Ng delayed my renovation schedule, terminated the renovation contract and delayed the refund, I need to accomodate all his problems still. What a way of servicing the customer.

Not trying to bad mouth anyone here. Of course, no offence to Hasibee also, because I believed Kelvin did a good job for Hasibee in the past. However, things have changed quite a bit now. I have been through some really bad experience with Kelvin Ng - Artistic Design for the past few months. Up to now, 2.5 mths after he delayed my renovation schedule and terminated the renovation contract, he is still yet to fully refund me all the money. I am not sure what kind of problem he is in now. But from my point of view, he definitely has problem keeping up with his promises, at least for my case. Imagine the fact that the check he gave me was returned by bank. He is sort of ignoring the Tribunal Court Order now, with the delay in payment. Also, please kindly take note that technically Artistic Design is not Kelvin Ng's company. He is not the owner. The company is registered under other people's name. I still have the business profile.

Hi all, It's been a while since I last posted here. We went through a small claim tribunal consultation session with Kelvin Ng during mid May. He agreed to refund all the out-standing payment plus compensation during the consultation session. Following payment schedule was agreed by Kelvin Ng and binded in Order of Tribunal: - 1st payment - 50% of total amount by 30May'09 - 2nd payment - 50% of total amount by 30Jun'09 However, up to now, after 16 days of delay, we are still yet to get our full 1st payment. As of now, we only receive half of the 1st payment. On top of that, a returned check given by Kelvin Ng, several delays and couple of technical faults (Kelvin claimed so) from reputable banks (such a coincidence!!). Hence my conclusion, based on my experience so far: please exert more caution when dealing with Kelvin Ng on monetary and scheduling issue. Being friendly is one thing, delivering result is another. It really sadden me to see that one of the more talkabout IDs in this forum would actually do this. Hi all, I have signed the refund agreement with Kelvin today. The atmosphere of the whole process was a friendly one. So hopefully I will be getting my refund soon. Will keep everybody updated once I get the money. I hope everything will work out and both parties can just move on from here. Thanks for all the help/support/message from all the forumers.

Hi Decade, To be honest, I have Kelvin's contact with me still. It's not like he's unreachable. However, he has been citing reasons like: - insufficient time reading the offer - sub-contractor issue - no thumb drive as reasons of delaying confirmation of my refund value. (I still keep all the SMS) I think it's better to go through the authority for my refund. Hi harmony and ahockz, What do you mean by "owner run away"?

Hi Chairman Mao, To be honest, it was also quite difficult for us to believe that Kelvin, who was one of the more talkabout IDs in this forum, actually did this to us. Brief summary of how we got Kelvin's contact and quotation: Oct/Nov'08 - We got Kelvin Ng's mobile number from GPlan, when we first called GPlan office last year. 20Nov'08 - After meeting up with Kelvin, he submitted his first quotation under GPlan. (We still keep this quotation) Nov'08 - A few days after Kelvin submitted his first quotation under GPlan, he mentioned that he was leaving GPlan. He requoted us on his own. 17Jan'09 - We signed with Kelvin under his new company Artistic Design. Mar'09 - During casual conversation with Kelvin Ng, he mentioned that he was still with GPlan. If what Kelvin Ng told me on Mar'09 was correct, I wonder how Kelvin Ng could quote and sign customer under Artistic Design, when he was still with GPlan? Maybe someone could enlighten me? Like what I said in my previous post, the biggest mistake I made in the whole incident was that I signed with Kelvin Ng under Artistic Design, which is some SGD 5 company registered under someone else's name. The company address is a HDB Flat in Jurong West. Anyway, up to now we are still yet to receive our refund from Kelvin Ng, 25 days after he terminated the contract on 07Apr'09.

To be fair, for my case, it's not GPlan's fault. We didn't sign with Kelvin under G-Plan, which was the biggest mistake we made in the whole incident.
