  2. sorry don't get your story. You bought a house, obviously with tiles. And u did a cement screed over it for overlay? Where did the holes comes from? who drilled the holes?

of coz id will wanna earn money from u, sure the easiest solution proposed to you would be the most lucrative solution (to them).

No. When I bought this resale from HDB and found that the previous owner never lay any tiles on it, just a normal cement screed which done by HDB. The owner using the mat to lay on it which people using in 1980's in one room flat.

Before reno, my ID told me that they were drilling small holes on the cement screed all over the living room so that when laying the tiles, thoe holes which fill with cements would fully hold on the tiles to prevent any wraps and there will be no air gap between tiles and floor.

After drilling, the problem appear. she told me that some parts of the cement screed are hollow after drilling small holes and when laying the tiles, it still will be hollow and the solution is to hack the cement screed before laying tiles to prevent near the future to hear hollow sound when drop somethings on the floor.

    Thanks & Regards

  3. I facing a problem now which is my living room cement screed is abit hollow in some areas after the drilling holes on it (for filling up with cement so that it can stick with the tiles when lay on it).

My ID suggests to solve this problem, it have to hack the whole cement screed in living room and it will cost me $700. May I know got anyone encounter such an incident? My hse is an resale flat directly from HDB. Please advise.

    Thanks & Regards

  4. U can try wellmax, their price is very competitive. i have asked around and the price is the lower among all and now the sales person gave me a special package price for windows and wrought iron gate which is very worth it.

They charged you how much? Care to share?

    Thanks & Regards

  5. The Besglas HomeDoor Pte Ltd are you referring to the one at Blk 2 Toa Payoh Ind Park. I also went to showroom with my friends to see. I actually intend to get bi-fold door but was quoted already by contractor. I went to several doors and hardware company like ****, etc..

    Bi-Fold Price

**** is selling @ $160 - $180 + plus alum frame ranging on your designed.

Best Industrial Pte Ltd is selling @ about $110 - $150 with alum frame on your designed and requirement.

No. I just went to the IMM showroom to take a look. :)

    Thanks & Regards

  6. Yup.. Is your place fully renovated..? Any pics to see.. :) What design you got for your doors..?

Haven't start yet due to I need to clarify with the ID of some of the items before reno. :)

    Thanks & Regards

  7. Hi Charon88,

For windows and grill you can try to call Ronnie(Hp) 97467020. He's a contractor who give very good price.. :) No harm asking tho..

    Hope it helps..

    Regards

Thanks alot. Is it registered under HDB. :)

    Thanks & Regards

  8. ID or contractors usually charges more as they are just middle men. We as owners always have the option to go directly to the manufacturers. I could go directly and pay $180 for my bi-fold doors since I got the contacts but since my contractor charged me $200 and he oversees the whole project so I din mind paying that extra $20. Furthermore, the $180 was for a smaller door and mine was much bigger so I'm not sure if I would still be getting $180. That's y save all the trouble and let my contractor handle everything.

May be u are right. The IMM sell 300 plus and is a bit expensive than my ID quote but I just want to see have got another brand to replace or not. :)

    Thanks & Regards
