  1. anyone encounter such before? We are changing the floor tiles for the living room and laying laminates over the existing floor tiles for the 3 bedrooms so only hacking the living room tiles initially. But after hacking off the floor tiles in the living room, some tiles started to pop up in the room. Yeak advised that we hack off all the existing tiles in the bedrooms before we lay the laminates. How come the floor tiles will pop up? any idea?
  2. any comments on the full length mirror? Anyone know the maximum length that the lift can accomodate?
  3. yep true. Rough tiles definately need more maintenace. but we prefer rough tiles so that its less slippery
  4. Picture time!!!! Living room Bedroom1 Bedroom2 MBR. cannot see the full view from this. will post another better view next time Kitchen cabinets all dismantle!
  5. hmm still thinking abt it. our concern is that our bed will be directly facing the door if we were to shift the entrance.. read somewhere that its not too good in terms of feng shui..dilemma lei
  6. 'take out existing door frame, install new door frame, sealing up entrance and create new entrance' -$750 on condition to use back the existing door. i think it's inclusive of everything ba..
  7. smsed Yeak and he replied within minutes, he quote me 750. is it reasonable?
  8. yea, my htb's dad suggested that to us too but we thought it will cost quite abit to shift the entrance and everything.. but i'm tempted again by your suggestion!!!! arghh, i better hurry and ask yeak on the cost and decide fast. My hacking starts today, wonder if we have time to add in this additional change.
  9. hello Rondy! we already tore them down actually. We hacked away all the fixtures before handing over to Yeak. save some $$$. yea, quite wasted actually cos they are really quite new.. but we wanted to change the washing machine position, so had to do it. anyway i think changing of laminate is quite expensive actually. wanted to do it for a cupboard but was advised not to by Yeak.
  10. yep, thats us. You the couple who came to finalize the tiles with Yeak right? hahah, your renos started already?
  11. hee, actually the MBR is quite small. i think after putting in a king size bed, will be very squeezy le.. My HTB's dad was standing right in the MBR, when he asked us "where is the MBR?" can you imagine, he didnt realize that it was the MBR cos it's so small!!!!!!!
  12. hahah, we have a VERY small and NARROW kitchen. not much space left after deducting space for the sink and hob...we'll be doing a white kitchen to make it look bigger.
  13. yea i agree. Shortlisted him after reading through the fellow yeakers blog and his quote was one of the most reasonable we got. initially wanted to get Uncle Soon but being first time home owners, we thought we need someone who have more time so that we can get more advice from. Coincidentally, my sis referred her friend's contractor to us, who turned out to be Yeak!!!!
  14. It's somewhere in woodlands
