  1. so sitting on toilet bowls we went on the weekend and all in all, from then till now.. we had covered heritage, poh joo, poh seng, asia excel, ssc, home & bathroom and etc.. and boy are we sure familiar with the $258, $268 and $288 bowl + sink package that is going ard. but all that changed when we at home & bathroom.

citing poor flush system or easily glazed toilet bowl, the lady boss actually hoped for us to choose a Johnson Suuise for its reliability.

so in the end, we can't decide again and did not buy yet.

anyone been using the Baron or Cruizto from the package? any comments or review till date?

good call on the JS, its one of those brands you can't go wrong with - when i was a little boy & i learning to spell...johnson sussie was the longest word i could spell right :P

did the lady boss mention which brands had poor flusing or leakage issues? im really partial to crizto, support local brand & all right (but of coz not if they make crappy products rigth) but there is not much review on them & my contractor can't shed much light on crizto either...tough call...

  2. As for distributors :D when I said Quick-Step is like Lexus, I must say though that their distributor looks like a second-hand car dealer :P

 totally agree with you on the distributor part. it took me a while to commit to this coz i was caught in a bind myself, but then after re-evaluating how we've been using my current flooring, we decided to go for it. hopefully this time round the marketing folks in this company can get their act together and strengthen the brand in singapore.

god knows we are doing half their job here! :P

  3. oh man i want an EA upgrade next time!!!!!!! SO HUGE. your common bathroom looks like you can put a bathtub :( wish i had a big house too!!

you like the common bathroom? that one give was giving Jason & us a big headache to design - bloody WC at such an odd location...the wizard will help us come up with something interesting i'm sure.

@jaskel: thanks bro for yesterday. after your long day (& still recovering) still come & do this for us & then sit at the coffee shop until midnight to go through the design  u da man! :good:

  4. Karma sutra! :notti: Just cannot help it but..... :P .

  6. Good for you! My budget planner tells me that we will have to settle for the E, as she needs the extra saving for a new piece of furniture :(

Hey, do share the pics when yours is done. I'm wondering if titan and lach had theirs done yet? Looking forward to see their pics :)

no we have not started our reno yet but we will definitely post pix once its up :)

  7. extracted from IDA - very good animated explanation on how to prepare for OpenNet installation.

go to the "Renovation Consideration" tab and click "Case Studies". 2 scenarios are presented "Basic" & Futureproof".

    Quite idiot-proof me thinks.

  8. You need to choose a centralized location to be your network hub in order to setup LAN network at home.

For my case, I choose my study room to be the network hub, where my router will be. I asked my electrician to wire up CAT 6 network cable in all 3 of my bed rooms and living area, which will link up with 4 network points in the study room. So as long as I connected all 4 network points in study room with router, I can access to internet through wired connection from 3 bed rooms and living area.

hi madcat, did your electrician advise you if u'd exceed 15m for fibre installation? As you maybe aware ON installation is only free for the 1st 15m after which is $33 for every 5m & your living room is pretty massive especially if you're gona run it along the perimeter to terminate in your study. I'm also considering terminating at my study, & i'll probably end up paying for the additional length, maybe $66 but definitely less than $99.

  9. Another factor that we did take into consideration is distributor. Berry is by Woodculture, Hafari, a stronger company whereas for QS, the distributorship in Singapore is constantly changing. I believe most of the company can't deliver the minimum quantity for being QS distributor. So for those who decide to choose QS, do remember that you may need to bear the risk of changing distributor.

yup, thats a good point to note, however speaking from personal experience - once its in-place you don't need to worry about it. That's what you are paying for - quality & peace of mind.

  10. Titanax, think yr wife is dead serious bout getting rid of those dvds i think.

    haha

dude, you couldn't be more wrong, she just wants a free "mariah" :P

"Sweat", eat panadol cannot liao....must eat the blue pill already :P

errrr, wow you got me there! this is one of the rare moments where i can't think of anything clever to say! :o

  11. Oh great one, i'm enlightened!

so titanax also wan to buy? likely to be to produce saver is it? cos u got ur swee swee chopping board and knife block liao.

hehe, duno leh sami - i grew up with tupperware coz my mom uses it i recall her rubbermaid all lose elasticity after a while but her tupperware still going strong, but then i'm not sure if tupperware has something similar

  12. oh noz... another brown promoter!!! haha... ok la I am fine with brown but thought that it would be interesting to try something bold like red! still **** confused about the colour zzzz.....

we chose the color coz we want a cozy feel, nua nua - chillax type hehe...its about your personality, if you're the vibrant type, every morning jump out of bed ready to take on the challenges of the day macham superman, go for the red, i'm

sure it'll complement your cape ;) jokes aside though...you need to live with the choice till you sell the place so make it a good one :)

  13. Haven't move in, but Ah Long move in already :furious:

this is d'amn heart wrenching! :curse: i can imagine the joy you must be going through to transform your current place only to have this marred by this bad act. hopefully SPF can act fast and solve your issue.

  14. Mr chew had rushed these out for us so that we can use the MBR and to block out the west sun in bedroom3. We still missing bedroom2 and livingroom nite curtains and day curtains for all rooms(contemplating if it is necessary for bedroom 2 and 3) and bamboo blinds for the kitchen.

the curtains looks really nice from your photo shot. how is mr chew's workmanship and pricing? Would you recommend him?
