i went down 2 tiles supplier. Just order from them and ask contractor to cater to move from ground floor to my unit when they are hacking, that it. Have not decide which to buy from yet. Will get advise from contractor later. The tiles supplier will estimate the number of tile need. The only thing is the contractor will charge more for laying tiles and they did not get commission from the tile?? If i got the tile from supplier, can bargain with them and get 10% discount.

Will be meeting one of the contractor today. This contractor is doing tile work. Not sure what will be his quote. Get a quote from Tiler seng (From this forum) for 9k for doing when main work. His qoute does not include tiles as I am buying tile myself. Will get a few quote before deciding. Now still deciding what to do for my bedroom. Either use laminate or same as living room. After sourcing hdb flat for almost 2 years, finally got one at 5A hdb flat jurong west for 338 K. Will be getting my key on 19 Oct and now preparing for my renovation. Budget for my renovation is 30K excluding furnishing. After doing some research in the internet, decide to manage the renovation myself. Not sure how will it turn out? Here is the floor plan

Anyone have problem with 800 * 800 homogeneous tiles? According some ID and contractor i checked. Some advice me not to go for 800 * 800 as the tile is uneven. Some 800 * 800 tiles will have small curve at the middle. How 800* 800 better or 600*600 better? 800 * 800 is more expensive and the laying it is more expensive. Personally i like it to be 800 * 800 as i have a big living hall? Any comments?

Early in the week went to look for material for my house renovation. After asking my friend and searching the internet. Filter out 2 places to look for it. First is Lian Seng Hin Trading at 568-A Balestier. The homogeneous tile there price from $2.00 to $5.00. Most of them imported from China. The service is good even i have not decide to buy from them, after selecting model, they give me some sample. Ask them for discount from the fixed price and they me give 10% from display price. There are about 10 display for restroom design at second story. Next went to Toh Guan. This is a big place. Sale person basically bo chap. Went there and walk for almost 1 hr. The second story got lot of design ideas for u to see. A very good place for u to see what design for u to choose. After seeing both - Get confuse what to choose - There are to many option for u to choose. It give a very good ideas of how many sample and price ($2.00 psf to $11 psf). Still have not decide which to buy from. But will be deciding after seeing the contractor who will do the tile work coming week. This contractor who do tile work. It recommended from my friend who say his workmanship good.
