    Hi guys,

    How is all of ya mobile reception? is it poor? i am currently under Singtel and the reception had been disappointing poor.

    This mobile team lady replied to me on the poor reception:

    " Thank you for your feedback.

    We are pleased to inform you that expansion work is in progress atthe said location. This is scheduled to be completed by the end of2009."

    One year to solve this problem leh.. WTH! 8|

    i also mailed to LTA and also stated on the traffic jams on the minor roads. (4 entrances and 4 exits into Bedok Central) and (2 entrances and 2 exits into LG). With so many contrsuction and upgrading works.. making the situation worse! Hope they will look into it... i think we can speed up things if everyone dropped a notes to them... :)

    Together we make LG a better place to live in!!

    Jovi dropped by this afternoon & confirmed no pipe leakage in my unit. However, she also cannot give a confirmed explanation on the damp walls. What's worse, some walls are turning moldy liao. Cannot imagine about those walls behind my built-in cabinets. Sighed!!!!!

    yr wall damped.. my wall hairline crack twice at the same area(think some of us may have encountered.. ).. lagi sianz.. den the renovator came n explained to me due to the manufacture of the wall and the weather which i have some doubts.. no choice lo.. luckily they do for me la...

    just saw a mediacorp celebrity filming at the newly opened wet market... not bad.. still gt some charms.. lol

    which gahment department should we write to if we want to propose to them to construct a zebra crossing between LG and Shop&Save? confused.gif

    UPdates on the vulnerability of our gates:

    The ans is our gate is ok to use..

    According to JOVI, Mr Kor demo to the gate consultant and it can't be removed unless using power drill(on the rivets that hold our gates) not knocking off the pins(basically, any gates can be removed using power drill la).

    On tue, Police rep, RC and HDB rep met up and concluded that the gate is fine but neber mentioned on the security issue. Guess this fall under the home team's responsibility.

    As for the 5 break-in cases, 4 are disputes between owners n renovators, only 1 is by breaking in(saw lock not lifting gate) which results in losing 22k of stuffs...

    End of story :)

    It did happened...cos the Bedok HDB Technical officer came to my place to take a look @ my damp walls right after the meeting @ about 8pm. Based on his experience, looks like my unit is in pretty bad shape. He suggested to do a pressure test which neither my ID, nor HDB want to bear the costs!

    So u noe the meeting outcome? nobody wans to bear the cost? so jia lat..

    If they cannot or not coming out with any plans on the security part.. den anyone wans to join buying the one-time payment alarm with Yong.. need 5 wor... :)

    May i noe is bedok area crime rates high? recent LG's incidents and lift access @ the oppo blocks make one think that way... hmm...

    The likelihood of security access gates at the ground level lift waiting area is practically zero.

    The reasons are rather intuitive. I can come up with 3 of them easily.

    erm.. true.. i believe none of the security tools or plans are going to be 100% sound.. just ways to minimise crime rates..

    and with flasher, molester and thefts been occurring within these 6month times.. we must really take note and prevent it from happening to our love ones..

    so anyone noe the outcome in the RC meeting today? or neber happened? :dunno:

    The several cases of theft-in-dwelling that had occurred recently are all housing units undergoing renovation

    i think gt 1 is moved in den kana according to JOVI.. :dunno:

    i guess all LG unit residents can hear water flowing every night.. haha..

    y don we stand in as the salesmen shoes? anyway no threatening or price jacking is done... n Korean brand oso ok ma... LG, SAMSUNG all nt bad.. :). The salesmen neber identify himself is becos nobody ask..

    don need report CASE ba.. i think they already knew all these.. and i believe if we all think as u den we can bar ourselves from going to these big electronic chains for the rest of our lifes cos thats their promoting tatics..

    haiz... no offence, just think that minor thing we shld just close 1 eye.. we are adult n if we r so easily been tricked into buying things den i think is our own problem lo..

    The alarm system cost about $250 or less. 1-time charge including installation and warranty. No monthly subcription. Price can negotiate further when there are more than 5 interested takers.

    not sure.. haven met my neighbour yet.. he was recommended by his aunt whom use for 10yrs and working fine.. :)

    How this alarm function, just ring by itself? I have installed the ADT system and I think is better as it link to the police.

    if the thief still dare to intrude when the alarm rang off.. den i :bow: haha

    n if my whole estate neighbours still don care.. i will serve ties with them.. lolz

    Link to police confirm beta but in term of cost and their respond is another doubt.. R u sure is police or cisco?

    My neighbour is installing the one time installation alarm tml night and will pass me the info.. if the alarm is gd.. i will recommend it here!

    the cost i heard is 100-200 beta den those charge per mnth.. i believe..

    YokoYoko, u saw a suspision man yesterday near your neighbour door? what happen? and you called the police?

    Called the police and then found out it was my neighbour's contractor.. lolz..

    Where gt contractor don noe his owner customer unit(he walked in wrong direction - 1st suspicious pt).. close to mid-night(where gt ppl work at this hr..2nd pt).. looking and trying to do something with the gate(3rd pt)...he don look decent - lao beng(4th pt) ...cannot let him run away(5th pt) and i decide to be a 'good' neigbour and called home team lo... hahah..

    hi,anyone knows where to developing good 4R size photos ard bedok? the quality of the photos is important as well as price. the best i can find is $0.15 at Toa payoh. it's too far fm our side just to go there to develop.

    Anyone knows?

    The 15cent photo developing shop at TPY also have one at AMK, YISHUN(CHONGPANG)... but not all shops are 15c some are 20c.. i think they gt another shop.. kallang i think.. anything it is better to develop there though is far.. image u develop at 30 n 40 cents... its double! go there walk walk n buy CNY thing lo.. haha

    do u know wat time is the demo? if late afternoon, my hubby can go see see. :unsure:

    this i not too sure.. is evening time.. maybe u can ask her?

    That's true, I'll be meeting the ID again and hopefully they can adjust it to stay within my budget..I've got another quote from Ideal House for 38K+ for the same request...so you could understand why my jaws dropped..

    no worries.. that time i had quite a similar situation with you and they made adjustment that both parties are comfortable.. sometimes must take the materials and designs into consideration also.. but Ideal house seems not a bad coy(saw gd feedbacks in the forum too).. :)

    YokoYoko, nw i belive wat u ever told us that there is never ending cleaning in thenew house. clean and mop is wat we do now...

    has anyone realise that there are many sand flies in your home? didnt know they canfly so high up. it's worse than flies. they are almost everywhere. my friend brought his daughter down for a walk and she kana bitten. can feedback on this? anyone having the same problem as me?

    Ya.. especially yr unit is black n white theme.. haha.. more obvious... bo bian.. own hse must do cleaning even if don like... :( unless u hire maid(those 1 week come n clean once like yr car been cleaned by banga just that they are more frequent..)

    the flies gt d*mn alot.. at windows area.. i use insect traps and spray to entertain them.. most r dead but still incoming.. some even attack me when i sprayed n kills mani of their comrades..lolz.. now slightly beta.. u can go to any supermarket n buy those all-insect odourless spray... or maybe after a few months they will be gone? there are also spiders n other insects.. slowly explore.. :)

    Latest story from JOVI... tml no demo.. :( changed to tue.. RC will have a meeting with the HDB guys on this..

    Any grassroot ppl here? can help oso.. she mentioned each block at LG gt our own RC but nobody noes.. why they neber announce sia... scare trouble?

    i told jovi to suggest the lift security system(fred's staying area.. oppo LG) to the RC and mangament since so mani things happened here...

    hope she will mentioned.. if nt anyone free on tue evening can go to the RC centre(where they will held a meeting to discuss on this issue) which is at LG.. 2201b(that side) and suggest to them..

    Anyway, any idea where the demo going to be held? I might just go kapo and see see look look... :P

    This is one i not sure.. cos JOvi said that they still waiting for the managment to approve on a empty unit for demo.. but this fri they invited MR kor and the whole gate engineer team to come down.. maybe u give her a call or find her?

    btw LG still gt empty units.. any friends interested can tell them to standby and apply... :)

    Anyway the welder i saw is those a bit skinny, but he doesn't look decent to me.. I also very worry that he break into my house, but i told him i will call him if i need his service. But he say no cards, so LL lo.

    Anyway way to go, yokoyoko! Ask Mr Lee to bring his influence ... hope the necessary works can be done.

    typical uncle look lor.. But i must tell u first.. my england cmi so u beta hope he understand lor..lolz

    LG is my home nw!! i have feeling for it and i must protect it ..abit er xin...hahaha..

    Hmm, theres still our thick fireproof wooden door right? Isnt it very noisy to do all the sawing and knocking when the area is already occuppied?

    but the 5 cases are already good examples..

    Any 1 c jovi tell her to highlight to her managment on the block where fred mentioned.. lift security... don noe which blocks.. oppo LG.. look pro leh.. haha

    I would prefer it to be like my current place just across the road whereby only pple with access card can enter the HDB block. Of cos, visitors can call upstairs for us to grant them access. Also got CCTV too.

    Well, if this is a common problem, then it should be a public good instead.

    i saw the building too.. cool.. must highlight to them if anyone meeting them.. tell them!!

    oh my parents' place near Kallang MRT just had CCTV installed in all the lifts... 2 in each lift... guess too many robberies took place in 2008...

    YES! this is a good recommendation!! like this we can minimise the insecurities and don need to spend $$ on the alarm system.. will suggest to JOVI..

    guess wat... i mayb also his target.

    2 weeks ago, Mr Koh went up to my unit asking me to weld the gte, then as i was on the phone shouting at my contractor, i shouted at him tell him to go away, im not going to have his service and continue my converstation with my contractor as im fed up with my reno status.

    last week, he came up again. this time, we also tell him dun need his service. jialat, like this we kana aim liao.

    just wan inform you all that regardless of wat lock we buy, so long as u get a locksmith, they can easily open up any, ANY lock. so end of the day, the answer is:

    Look like i injected some fears into u all.. my apologies.. my previous post is actually trying to pass a message that we must look out for one n other.. like u said.. wat lock, gates n doors.. they can still access if they wan to..

    The Mr Kor's target might not be true la.. haha.. the owner just suspect is him.. :) but 5 cases leh we must highlight and pester them to tigthen the security before they moved out!!

    I did emailed Mr Lee.. but JOVI mentioned that the RC had highlighted to him cos this is a safety issue and the gate engineers are studying the gate design.. n now they need evidence.. there is Mr KOr to demo on hw he can remove the gate by smashing all de pins..

    If you just latch up the top slots, it's as good as you don't latch up any slots at all. You can easily pull out the portion of the door connected to the'bottom hinge'. Try looking at your door hinges & you will know what I meant.

    Quite true.. but most of the contractors will not drill holes for the bottom unless owner requested.. so another suggestion is to ask yr contractor to drill the bottom holes..

    now is not abt the gate thingy anymore.. is the safety of our living area.. flasher, molester n thefts occurred within 6months.. WTH.. wats nxt... Security must be tighten.. when the home team cannot do the job well.. is ours!!

    How could someone hack open the metal gate, lift it up and bang the door till it open? i still think...

    how to lift the metal gate? its heavy. bet must have 2 big men to lift it up and carry it off.

    most of the break-in is not by using wat the Mr Kor's method.. is quite impratical..

    Jovi story to me just now:

    There are 5 Burlgar cases so far in linear green!!!

    one of the cases is at Blk 220C.. and guess who the suspect is??? Mr KOR or the uncle that provide wielding services!!

    The unlucky 220C owners refused to accept the offers and said that if the gate is unsafe, they will get HDB to rectify. Some commotion/unhappiness happened.. and that night or after which, the owner's unit was break in.. padlock sawed not by incredible hulk's strength to lift the gate... The lock was placed in de middle of the table in the unit W/O anything been taken away!! So the owners suspected is MR KOR or ETC!! and told de police... don noe hw is the investigation went after that... maybe 220C residents noe?

    Lesson to us... any gates/doors are vulnerable.. cos the owner's lock according to jovi is those gd n exp 1..

    Sh*T!! i decline his offer and his face is so black!.. might be the nxt target!! :(

    Fri, Jovi n cO will invited MR KoR to demo.. lets wait for the news... anyway Jovi mentioned that the RC informed the MP cos safety issue.. not sure true a nt... :dunno:

    She also mentioned ADT - security firm might be starting a security exhibition at the void deck.. waiting for approval.. den LG resident can consider using the alarm.....

    i just phoned her.. looks like a lot of owners called her regarding this.. haha..

    She told me the she helped in de wielding is because the metal gate pin for one of the resident's unit dropped off.. not for enforcing security.. just to wield back..

    on fri, she invited MR Kor to demo to her and the gate engineers in an empty unit on hw he removed the whole gate by knocking off the pins.. but now the prob is MR Kor will turn out??? heard she said Mr Kor put airplane once..

    Anyway even if he neber turn out.. i suggested to her that asked her workers to try out in the empty unit.. but she need someone who noe MR Kor method inorder to carry out.. Any volunteers know Mr Kor's Method ..??

    She also mentioned the burlgar case at 220C is because of the padlock been sawed and pry open the door method.. now the owner installed Alarm system...

    Fred, did u saw Mr Kor removing the whole gate?
