Same here, I was at Best Denki and the sales guy also recommended Hitachi that comes with chiller. Since you have the same recommendation, now I wonder if the brand is offering the shop higher commission for selling their products...

hi joseph, same as us... almost direct west only saving grace is that when there is not much sun, its pretty windy.we installed solar film fm 3M - prestige range just for the west-facing windows - there is still sunlight coming in, of course - tt part bobian. but heat reduction is effective. not 100%, but there is a distinct difference
Hi Beany0811, how much does the solar film cost you?

Just visited Cellini's Park Mall outlet yesterday, they have the promotion of $2998 for full leather sofa, TV console and another item. I must say I prefer shopping in their Park Mall outlet as compared to the other branch I visited earlier, the staff at Park Mall branch help each other unlike the other branch which is more competitive and the staff are more hard sell.
We were so impressed with the service (and the offer of course haha) that me and my hubby decided to purchase all our furniture on that very day. We got a 3 seater sofa, coffee table, side table, dining table and a seperate chair to be place together with sofa. We got to select the materials/ colour etc of the furniture we bought =)
Oh ya must give thumbs up to Jenny who served us, she doesn't push us to decide and allow us to think through what we want =)
Hopefully, the delivery service will be just as smooth and the furniture turns out ok...

Does solar film really reduce the heat? I asked for a quotation and it cost more then $1500 for 2 bedrooms and the living area

Before I went home, I decide to check on the false ceiling in the living room. Initially, we had reached to an agreement to have a 4ft and 2ft T5 light to be installed in each L-shape pocket. However, when I measured it myself on the false ceiling, the dimension of L-shape pocket is 3ft by 1.5ft!! Nearly fainted!!Call contractor, he insist us to change the size of lightbulb instead! But where am I going to find a 1.5ft T5 lightbulb in Singapore???
Where are my basic rights as a paying customer???? Where is the basic customer service?? What should I do??
I am meeting this contractor at 5.30pm to negotiate with him again. Will update the outcome in this blog later.
Look at the pencil marking, it says 3ft by 1.5ft

Another possibility is to extend the wall out so that it will cover the pipings, but of course it will lessen the space you have in your bathroom...Thanks that's a great idea! I received Patrick's revised quote and he quoted $400 more for the dining mirror cum haulage (as compared to his previous quote), does anyone has any idea what does haulage mean?
-
Thanks all for replying =)
Batman, I know what you mean cuz I have look around in the market, for similiar designs their price seem reasonable. But I have not use their products so just want to be sure =)
-
Hmm maybe you ask the Management first whether they will give defects guarantee? What does the defect guarantee entails?Yup, probably will check on that first...
-
Does anyone knows if it is advisable to install rainshower with concealed piping? ie. the rainshower just shows in the ceiling and the pipe is hiden behind the wall. Will there be problem with maintenace thereafter?
Also, I am not sure what does the defect guarantee entails for condo but one contractor advises that I should not install the rainshower with conceal pipe as he is concern that the Management will not honour the gurantee. Any comments from anyone is appreciated thanks =)

I have gotten a few quotes from a few IDs.Cost for feature wall is around 1.2 to 1.8K. Is this consider the normal range? What are the things I will need to look out for ?
Cost for TV console ranges from 600 to 800.
Would anyone bargain with the IDs on the price quoted?
haa ... how to avoid be "chop like cabbage"..
Oh my god I think I am the one kena chopped. The contractor quote me for 1.3k for feature wall and 900 for TV console

Hmm he didn't really mention whether it's a client or prospect specifically haha...His services are very good...his workers are all very professional and trustworthy. So far, my husband and I have been very pleased with their workmanship that we kept buying drinks for them everytime they work haha. And my house renovation is completed within 1 month from the date it started..now just left the kitchen backsplash and installation of doorbell.
Do create a T-blog once ur reno starts!
oh then perhaps its me haha... my appointment with him is at 1pm...
Its assuring to hear that you are please with his services =) perhaps we might engage him... see how it goes... Need your advise and the rest of the forumers advise. I always wanted a rainshower but Patrick says its not adviseable cuz I don't want the pipe of the rainshower to be seen so need to hack the wall and link the pipe up to the ceiling. and because mine is a private apartment he is worried for us that the Management might not give us the defects guarantee after we hack the bathroom =( so sad. Do you think I should ignore the warranty part and just get my dream rainshower or heed Patrick's advise?

Oh yes another thing to add, their package promotion is still on. This time is bedframe + sofa + another item which I cannot remember. The salesperson also mentioned that Cellini is 23 years old so there is some kind of discount, I think its 23% off. Not sure how it is calculated as he just tell us the nett amount after pressing on the calculator.
-
Has anyone use Cellini's products for a few years and have good reviews on them? I went Furniture mall yesterday and their furniture definitely look value for money but not sure about its quality. I also saw a dining table on display that has a dent in it and asked the salesperson but instead of answering my question he brush it off by saying I will get a new piece if I order it.
-
Oh so you are one of the customers he is busy with now hehe My house handover today but he couldn't be at my place cos he said meeting another client...maybe it's youWhere's your place?
Oh really? So qiao... hehe... I am not a client yet still a prospect so perhaps he ws referring to someone else? He took the measurements today and he will give the revised quote later. But I don't know how long I have to wait as I waited for 1 week before I receive the first quote.
How do you find his services so far?
-
i buy from them a few yrs ago, before. better dun buy from them. i bought a wardrobe with them, but after 1 to 2 yrs, it started to have moulds, whitish colour stuff, and then even the whole wardrobe door came tumbling down on me!!!!! the quality is so **** lousy. what u guys think? but the salesman who attended to me still quite nice and friendly that time.I also read from another forum that their furniture develop mould after a while
-
Good for you ah! They can be quite flexible one. I changed my bedframe to another model which is costs slightly more and my sales person also didn't charge me for it.Hi tuababy which salesperson serve you?

The one who did my kitchen cabinet is superb! Even the main carpenter was impressed with his work that he rushed down wif his camera to take photos haha. But I heard he is a sub contractor though, means not working full time wif Patrick.Wah lucky you, I wonder if the other sub con they use are just as good. Meeting Patrick later so excited hehe...
-

Hi,Difference condo have difference practice. For my condo, any renov works is classified as A&A or renovation works.
1) The owner is required to fill up the renovation applicant forms and place a renovation deposit. From there you fill in the form on the type of renov that you are going to carry out.
2) The objective of the deposit is to prevent any illegal works carry out in the internal unit any damage to the common property. The owner or Subsidiary proprietor is to abid the house rules and renovation guide
3) If approved, the management will issue the renovation permit, if not, they will inform you verbally or written on why the application is not approved.t
Thank you Birdy
