MP will ask you to negotiate with the developer. Similar cases had appeared in newspapers before.
Good luck to your negotiation.

You can. But you must cancel your current BTO application before you can apply for the next BTO.
If you already paid 2K deposit, 2K will fly away. If you already paid 5% downpayment, 5% will fly away.
We cancelled BTO application years ago, hubby's 2K flew away.

A lot of people are unaware of this compounding 5% interest!

My neighbour staying upstairs (4 room flat) has been conducting dancing classes 5 times a week from 6pm to 8pm. We notice there are about 15 to 20 participants in each classes as we can see the pairs of shoes outside their house.
They do alot of stamping each time, the impact is so strong that we almost go crazy each time they start dancing, even my baby will cry. They almost tear down our roof top. Is it legal to conduct dancing classes at home? Can HDB take actions against them as they are disturbing the peace of others?
These neighbours who conduct big group commercial events are definitely commiting an offense under HDB. HDB can take action against them.
See this article:
http://www.edvantage...ion_centre.html
"Under HDB's Home Based Small Scale Business Scheme, home owners are permitted to conduct private tuition in their flats, but they can teach not more than three students at a time. The flats cannot be used as tuition centres as they are meant for residential use.
HDB said yesterday that this is because a large number of students may cause noise or other form of nuisance to the neighbours when they move in and out of the flat while attending classes.
HDB said that if the lessee is indeed using the flat as a tuition centre for more than three students at any one time, it will not hesitate to take enforcement action.

Is pvc or abs edging more durable for kitchen cabinet?

We wash the common toilet for tenant even if there is only 1 tenant using it.
Tenants tend to disregard the cleanliness of their room and common area. If you wait for your tenant to wash the common toilet, I bet he/she will not and your toilet will stink soon

It looks like the false ceiling is giving way
I doubt you can do anything about it, as you have already signed on the docs.
How old is your flat? You better get a contractor to check the supporting structures of the false ceiling for safety. I heard of case of false ceiling crashing down in living room.

First time hear of termites living in walls

The ID sourcing is a tedious process.

He walks home from work every Friday evening. The journey from his Tampines office to his Joo Chiat home takes at least four hours on foot. He collects paper, cardboard and cans to sell to rag-and-bone men.4hours walk daily! It's sad :(
Only Singapore has degree holders, phd holders driving taxi.

Hi folks,
For those of you whom had signed up with Aron, have you guys encountered any problems with your aircon unit so far?
I bought 2 system 1 and 1 system 2 Mitsubishi Inverter with them in Jun 2010and also signed up a one year servicing contract. In June 11, right after the 1 year warranty lapsed, the aircon unit which I used every night, began to experiience water dripping. I called up Aron's company and was told that the unit must be dirty and needs servicing. True enough, after they cleaned my unit, I did not experienc it again. However, today, exactly 3 months after their last cleaning, the unit is experiencing water dripping again! Imagin how frustrating it is with the water dripping on the floor and you cannot do anything abt it.
Separately, just a month back, the unit I installed in my study room which was sparingly used, could not be switched on. Again, I called Aron company and a technician was sent down. Root cause? The wire inside the cable connecting to the power socket had MELTED!! That was the first time I heard something like that especially for a one year old unit.
Thus, like to find out if fellow forummers experienced related problems or I am just the suay one.
What brand is your aircon? Has your aircon problem been resolved?

Since long time ago, every Singaporean/PR is only allowed to own 1 HDB flat. Majority of us only have 1 shelter.
Those measures are targetted at speculators in private property market who own many properties. I think govt's main objective is to discourage the speculators in China from "frying" the housing market here. They have no chance to fry China housing market anymore due to their govt's interference.

1. depend how big is your room
2. what things you want to put into your room.
Make sure when everything in.
You still have space to move.
Mean walk properly, not walk like model (1 straight line)
Not walk like crabs too LOL.
I'm getting my BTO keys soon. I don't look forward to the mickey mouse rooms lor.
If I get king size bed, I think I have to walk like crabs in the room.

Inflating the prices of properties is one of government's ways to lock up more of our CPF money. Let's see if they stop feeding this golden goose?

More Indians coming soon

Smaller but more expensive. How does debt of 30-35 years contribute to quality living? MIW wants us to have more kids but put us in smaller space + heavier financial debt.
If smaller house = quality living, then why all of the MIWs stay big houses and drive big cars?

Different rooms have different dimensions, so how are you going to fit the wardrobe into the other room with different dimensions?

I chose the highest floor for my BTO. I have stayed on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 9th and 11th floors before.
Reasons:
No elephant stomping feet on top in middle of the night.
Ceiling is slightly higher than usual.
Water tank is at roof top so water pressure will be fine.
No huge pipes running in the toilet.
My unit has unblocked views at all windows (South for living room and bedrooms, East for kitchen).
Less dusty.
Of course, I got to pray hard that all my lifts do not go on strike at the same time
p/s: I am not looking forward to moving to my BTO. Super lazy + mrt station is no longer opposite my block
What Is The Reason Price For This Resale Flat
in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Posted
You can offer seller a cov price (lower than asking price) that you are comfortable with. The seller will either reject or accept your offer.
There may be zero or a few other buyers who compete with you.
Take a look at the recent transacted prices of that area.
