  1. Magnet can stick on my stainless steel backing, but not very strong, can see the magnet droping down abit, but it still stick on it.

Think I kanna cheated by my ID already. But too bad I didnt ask my ID to specify which grade of stainless steel backing they giving me.

Those who are going to fix their stainless steel backing, just becareful loh.

  2. Have your house completed? did u use J System? or which contractor u using?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

have meet them for quotation for my Pinnacle flat. Points to note,

-they are ID not contactors so don't compare them with uncle soon, Ho Bee or Jason.

-Very low profile no advert at all other than yellow pages i think, only know they are formerly at IMM. Got to know them as my kids study at balestier primary beside their shop.

-no free air-con, kitchen cabinet or LCD TV hor and also no Lucky draw also...you pay what is quoted

-not pushy at all very comfortable talking to them, so far meet them 4X and make some changes along the way and the 3rd time they already out with some perpective drawings, no deposit require.

-they do designer kitchen..Hettich soft closing system, not Blum. Expensive but very impressive also.

-Have not sign up cos need see Feng Shui but they never said anything like 'we also know feng shui' kinds of thing. You know some ID dont like Feng Shui involvement.

-going to see one of their completed project soon

As I haven't sign up yet so cannot comment on after sale service and reno quality but so far their customer service is there.

No harm walk in and talk to them, its good meeting more IDs and get more ideas from them.

  3. if you all noticed, for those shopping malls glass doors, there is this metal piece at on the floor, this is what closes the door automatically. if you want your door to close like that, you have to install this mechanism.

but for house use, not many people does that, cos that metal piece is not very pretty la. and i think it's gonna cos a lot lor...

oic, thanks merydith, I've got it.

    Thanks alot

  4. Anyone have this problem?

My kitchen swing glass door cannot be self-centered when closed.

the hinge seems very tight too.

    Is this normal?

All the while, I thought I was having a swing glass door that work the same like shopping mall that can swing back when closed.

  5. I suggest you call up Starhub & ask them to lay the SCV points for you.

They will charge you quite expensive, but the pricing I did was abt 3 yrs ago, its about 1st pt is $150, 2nd pt is $80, but its worth it.

If your SCV pt is lay by contractor, then if anything happens to you internet, SCV will blame your contractor in the 1st place.

I broke my wallet & ask starhub to lay the pts for me, & sometimes internet slow or wat, they dont dare to blame me for the wiring.

Pls take this into consideration, even for cable TV also the same.

Call up Starhub (dial 1633)& ask for the lastest pricing.

  6. I'm asking them to re route the electrical casing as well as the aircon casing.

I was told the best option is not to conceal them for future troubleshooting.

The gap above the aircon casing in the corridor is the electrical casing.

I will post more pics after they re-route everything for me.

Thanks for giving me all these feedback.
