very gd deal right! were you there on sat morning. tot i saw a family with 4 monkeys too. haha is the one with the ottoman right? is it similar to the one near the shop entrance? if so, I like that it came with the ottoman but the fabric seems too coarse for my liking though. I did cause wanna the additional 10% if spend more than a thousand. thought can add the floor rugs and make it more than a thousand, alas, the floor rugs are not from lifestorey. as for the rest of the items, can't seem to fit the design of the house. so hai, no choice, did not have the 10% additional.

tks for fulfilling your orders! yea, in the end I changed mine to a 2CG too. hee have not seen it in white though. but white being white, almost inevitable that it will turn yellowish in time. plus all the heavy cooking and heat, think it will accelerate the process even faster if not well maintained. my view. model comes with oil container alright. of course fujioh's mk2 or fx900 can be cheaper too. reason why i decided to go with fujioh is for its testing of its grease or oil removal. doubt any other brands do that. of course, other brands would sell on their high suction power and boasting more than say 1000 m3/hr. but sucking is one thing, cleaning? my 2 cents view. hope it helps tks for fulfilling your orders! yea, deposit is fine... should be able to change the model i think

ok, am glad that mine is not a microsuede then. ha seriously, if the pocket is deep enough, I will prefer the xzqt butterfly for it's invisible mechanism too. ha tks! and is a deal done! one less item to think about. just need to bring my id down one more round to decide color and which floor rug to buy. btw, the floor rugs are dirt cheap!!! and of quality finishing. haha.. did consider that too. but then i was thinking.. if i am doing contemporary, minimalist wannabe... so long the the design is clean, simple and chic, it should be good. ok, am a sucker. the price was too good to be true for a sofa set from lifestorey! haha

The sofa story continues here! for all the time we window-shopped at great world thinking how ridiculously expensive the sofas are, we have actually own one now! comments about my choice of the polyester sofa still welcome! anyone? comments?

my take on the one i selected at lifestory is much smoother and not as suede suede per se. ya, the touch is really nice! salesperson told me typical off the shelf kind of fabric cleaner can most likely take of it. also some scotchguard spray thingy he mentioned to kind "waterproof" it.. haha.. you should see my latest entry then. now is just a matter of buying it later after 1 more trip with wife to lifestory this time. but since am at tai seng, am likely going to swing over to massimo at ubi first. if nothing from there, is most like the steal from lifestory then. for all the time we window-shopped at great world thinking how ridiculous expensive it is, we may actually own one in the end! so any comments about my choice of the microsuede? urgent! hahaha

the sofa saga continues!! previously at furniture mall, i make sure i avoided infamous places that have seen enough promising (promising to fail) reviews. to my horror, for awhile i thought there were no more shops to shop after avoiding them! then, i found uninovva, quietly at a corner on 3rd floor. not the widest variety of designs definitely but inside, salesperson ain't pushy at all which is good - taking time to make sure i browse on my own for awhile before making her presentation to me. so things i learn from there - 100% cowhide full leather means everything while 1/2 leather would mean only leather on the front i.e the sitting area. synthetic or micro leathers are composites and not really leather. i shortlisted 3 simple 3 seaters (am determined not to go for recliner or adjustable back rest cause that's just about what everybody is going for) models for consideration. my preference is for the white cause the back contact is more and is more plushy. is only the design that is stopping me - notice the slope below the arm rest? ahhhgggghhh. full leather (or what they said as the layer below the top grain / full grain) calls for $1.4k since there, i decided to brave myself and dropped by FC homes since I have time. served by again another friendly salesperson, she took decent amount of time to describe to me their high end italian designs from caliaitalia (direct import from Italy) and kelvin giormani. While all other sofa retailers dare to announce their sofa is 100% leather, they denounce their lack of validation and proof. Often, genuine leather or 100% can also mean using split leather which is less durable than say a - mother of all heavenly leather as they put it, the top grain leather. Distinguishingly, top grain leather offers some imperfections on the leather sofa i.e healed scars or different tones to prove their point of well, as close as sitting down on a living cow. Individual 2 or 3 year warranties on each of their sofa leather is given against tearing, cracking or peeling. All things said, be at entry level, be prepared to dish out $2500 at minimum to own that cowly feeling. conclusion after reading in this forum? got warranty on leather also peel lei. my selection below design notwithstanding - $2775 then it came down to XZQT which my wife and i immediately fell in love with the butterfly series. cause for once, the mechanism can't be seen! salesperson mentioned that the sofa is full high dense form and no springs - citing that springs are only meant for bed, not for sitting down. back rest is made of down feathers. although is at the warehouse which supposingly is cheaper, this top grain leather lovely still cost $2.3k alas, all good things come to those who read the straits time! picked up a corner of the paper on friday that says Lifestorey clearance sales at Tai Seng Link. from jurong and no delay, I made a dash there after i out pro in the afternoon. and boy it was worth the trip. although wife is not with me, seeing the simple design, lines and curves of the sofa assured me that my wife is going to say yes. still, not wanting to rock the boat, i made some quick notes and promise to be back with wife on saturday to confirm the buy. Sat morning 11am. wife and I purposely woke up early to catch breakfast and drove down from bukit batok all the way to paya lebar area. first stop was a quick stop at massimo. simple sleek designs that certainly does not give any surprises when you have seen the likes of XZQT, Air, Lifestorey etc.. their so call promotional fabric 3 seater sofa as advertised is also at $1.6k convinced, my wife and I left massimo and drove to tai seng street. confirmed, the salesperson explained that the keen sofa that we are interested in is of polyester i.e neither leather or fabric or suede even. However, the salesperson also nice enough to kindly explained it may be warm still. funny is after sitting down, it wasn't that too warm or hot kind. back contact definitely is there, even for my petite wife with short legs (HA!). both of us did not feel that my knees are out-stretched unlike some european models. of course, is the price that had really caught our eyes. for all the time we window-shopped at great world thinking how ridiculously expensive the sofas are, we have actually own one now! comments about my choice of the polyester sofa still welcome! anyone? comments? for those who might be interested, Lifestorey Factory Clearance Sale Check out the Lifestorey Factory Clearance Sale at 29 Tai Seng Street, Jackson Building from 11am to 7pm. DDMBCSLBSS reno.. wat a mouthful lei. haha i rather a slow but do it right reno man.. hai, does that mean that i have one more damage on my list of av? haha i am intending to have a gaming room and because is enclosed, think is better to throw in a sound sys there to better achieve the surround sound (pse pardon my humble knowledge bout sound sys), so for living room, was thinkin a decent sound bar will suffice. comments guys? think he got it through the salesperson from the group buy i initiated lei..

Bosch Hba23b550j & Brandt Fp867sx1
ne0mesis replied to CuteHoneyDew's topic in Electronics & Electricals
if i may add too, I have verified with Brandt through the phone that for residential use, the panels need not change annually as some salesperson may put it. in fact, once every 3 yrs is suffice and indeed, i feel to heat up the temp to kick off the pyro cleaning will consume more energy, i.e more electricity. be it pyro or not, you still need to wipe down after baking or grilling. and of course, the latter being lesser frequency too 2 cents view only. hope it helps P.S: I settled for Brandt FC842XS1 (catalytic) btw -
haha... jus the 2 of us? anywayz, if can, do not go mondi ya. my brother's sofa and dining chairs peeled within a year. but then perhaps, he was jus unlucky.

am waiting for yours on sunday ya! exciting..... can I? can I? tot once they hacked, there's no stopping on the rain of destruction? haha... it can be translated to as "can die, but must die in style" hai, i have everyone telling me this and that is a pity to hack or remove... i must be steadfast and stubborn! HA!

exactly, i have peers quizzing me left right up down why i spent that sort of money on a hdb when i can actually spend on a EC. and a low floor to make things worse. heck, i feel that am buying on location with more potentials to come, i have enuff cpf to avoid any cash payment at all monthly, so i stick to my guns. "be more boring than your elders" - the parents are easy, is ppl like your immediate peers who are out flat-hunting and swears by BTO and an elder brother who seemingly knows-better-than-you-do-always that makes you feel agggghhhhh "its my house.. thanks for the advice" - like how John Travolta said in Broken Arrow, "ATTITUDE!" i wish but i can't. i will try marble-like tiles maybe. hahaha tks tks! so i guess we will be stalking each other's blog then huh indeed, and I LIKE IT cause that's what i have in mind too for my mbr. HA

THANK YOU everyone for all the well wishes! is 3 more final hours to key collecting!!!!! thank you! even my agent commented that the flat is very well maintained but erm.. am stil going to give it quite an overhaul yea, small white floor tiles with a hue of pink in it. but am really quite determined to go with a new 600 x 600 throughout the living / dining and kitchen lei despite the whole world decrying my decision. the compromise is to skip the laminating in the rooms to save up at least 2k though jus not sure how it will look like when the living room tiles meet the room tiles at the door area. decisions, decisions! oh no, sorry to disappoint you. the condition is ok but the red cabinets must go! I really really cannot stand red color. haha indeed, we are really happy to bumped into such nice owners. can u imagine we were treated to goreng pisangs when we were there to the viewing back in feb. that's really a first time for us in so many viewings! yeap, it is. what amazed me was that the previous owner actually still helped us with the cleaning after they remove those cabinets in the room! the mbr color must go definitely. haha. no way am i going to let any place in this house be girlyfied. yea, big fun, big money (not in my pocket though) begins! THANK YOU! am just very glad that the kitchen wall can be hacked to make way for an open kitchen. if only that d a r n column can be hacked too, that would be picture perfecto! may have some radical changes to the WIW but provided is possible. foresee this new idea will saves us lots of money on carpentry! wahahahahaha, this really cracks me up. yea, racking my brains to do savings but still going ahead with what id and us have in mind. am really glad that id and us can communicate well. now am really hoping all the ideas gel up nicely! yes, still some major reno required, yes, dun like current theme but no, i don't have plenty of money to spend. we call it... a happy problem. for now. wahahahah

IMPORTANT NOTICE Dear participants of this group buy, wonderful responses for this group buy till date and we have managed 3 fridges, 7 pairs of hobs and hoods, 6 ovens, 1 microwave and 2 washer dryers a commendable sales figure for them! trust that all parties would proceed to make their purchases as indicated. for those who have not, kindly make your purchases at Mega @ KLP and look for Weijie instead. Alan just spoke to me via phone and mentioned now that he had been transferred to United Square, he is unable to give us the special pricing under the group buy which was quoted over at KLP. As such, to honour the special price, he had asked his colleague, Weijie to handle this group buy at KLP. It is also Alan's wish (consider mine too) that participants for this group buy do not reveal the pricing out further. otherwise, samsung, brandt etc will be breathing down their neck now that the group buy is underway and me making my purchases tomorrow, I shall officially delcare this group buy over. meanwhile, participants who have yet to buy may still contact me for any clarifications. last but not least, is been a great pleasure organising this and I hope it has been a fruitful one for everyone. of course, this group buy wouldn't have happened at all if not for the fellow forum mates' support - Darth Vader - y2tt - Titanax - new_home_maker - fz599 - jazzfish - madcat - Ghost - Berry10 - floppy - Timpanister Signing off and Have a Happy Shopping!
