    Went over just now.. was alot better.. Some corners i tink i would touch up myself after handover lah.

    But the living room's wall is very bad coz have lights from the L-box shining directly down on it. 2morow i b trying to meet Henry on this. Parts of it is patching problem. Part is likely caused by poor painting from last painter. Coz this time round, the painter painted over the "bumps" so making it even more obvious.

    btw, my "view hole" at the main door is not at centre leh, is almost above the door knob.. wonder y so.. any1 out there have "view hole" like that?

    Show a picture of the position on the door?

    Painting wise, talk to Henry. He should be able to rectify it.

    cosy contemporary bah... not so much of theme..jus cosy and comfy can liao. that's the most impt to us. :)

    That's nice. Your house looks good, no odd corners, pretty easy to do up a contemporary theme. Perhaps you can cover the cracked tiles with an overlay of laminate flooring, yes?

    what a coincidence, our 2nd one also coming in mid sep! we will have one more common topic to chit chat :):)

    i think it is bit to explain about the fengshui thing in words, now in office, not convenient to edit and post my floorplan.

    we will be going to our house tonite around 8pm, if you are also there, we can discuss.

    aircon - we are using system 3, no aircon in living rm and study rm. i got it from cousin, special price, 1.6k (with bracket), LG brand.

    wc - have you bought the toilet bowl? the dimension (from wall to sewage hole) for both my toilets is extremely short, very limited choice when we look for wc. i was told only the older (and uglier) design can be used. fortunately managed to find one that is of decent design. share with you more when we meet up.

    my reno almost ready, no hurry to move in yet, targetting somewhere in june

    The world is just so small, I guess. Same layout, same tips from the fsm (not sure if identical), and about the same due date for the second kid! I am speechless.

    Also discovered that the electrical workers left a mess on my WIW floor when they put in a socket there. Hope it can be cleaned up :(

    This week it's first coat of painting, then on Friday the lightings will be delivered and my dining lights and 5 ceiling fans will be installed. :yeah:

    And in other good news, Man U beat Man City 1-0 and Chelsea lost. What a great start to the week! :D

    Oh and please post pictures when the lightings and fans are in place. Seems to me that you got quite an exquisite taste in decorating your house.

    Congrats to you that Man Utd won again but I hate to say this and I need to get it off my chest- Man Utd are still trailing behind Chelsea if I remember the table correctly. This result means that the 2 teams will fight all the way to the wire and by a point! What a great start to the week!

    I already got MIO plan liao, 8Mbps + digital tel line + mobile line = $ 63/mth

    Mobile line can upgrade every 12mths without $100 extra.

    And got it installed already, this is the most important so I can work from home anytime. keke

    Brother. Sorry to hear about your plight on the electrical work, I would be fuming if I were in your shoe. Yes, I think it is safer to have gone for mio instead. How about the wiring now that is done badly? Or is the bad wiring confined to just bad connection to starhub but leaving everything else okay?

    Henry mentioned also need to paint the whole wall to prevent uneven color, if so tink he hv to paint 70% of the hse again lohh..

    I was already a smoker thanks. Wife already know I smoked and didn't mind it at all even before getting married. But now I do agree it is not nice for her to use a smoky toilet. But I won't quit, that is why I am willing to fork out more on making sure both of us can be happy, that is 1 non-smoking bathroom for her and one and 1 for me. Nevermind la, I'll ask my HDB officer and also the ID doing my place. Thought someone here might have done something similar or at least know something. Thanks.

    Agree, check with the authority. On the other hand, I am thinking you might have an issue with space allocation. How to encompass a shower area + basin + toilet bowl in 2 bathrooms in a 3-room flat? You might have to compromise with a smaller kitchen maybe?

    Hve tried to ask Henry what's the name of the painter, but qn was tactically not answered so lve it bah.. So now possibility is either me and Simon kana the same bad painter or there is 2 bad painter in the mist.. Ha.. lottery draw for everyone loh..

    You are scaring me already....afraid that I might not have the time to supervise intensively and I hate randomness!

    Chances are if you will become successful if you have got more resources. Look at Chelsea and Man City-instant success though the same cannot be said about Man City, they havent won the league but they got the 4th position. I just hope Mourinho comes to Liverpool instead of Man Utd if he is honest about testing his managerial skill. And they beat the **** out of Barcelona, bravo!

    Hi everyone,

    I just joined RT. And I am waiting for 1st Appointment to purchase a 3-RM Unit at Blk 2 Everton Park.

    I have a problem with the BATH and TOILET:

    I am a smoker (sorry to all who don't like smokers :D ), and one of my worst habits is needing to smoke in the toilet. My wife is about to ban me from smoking in the toilet. Our current place in Sengkang has 1 master bedroom bath room (complete with sink, WC and shower room), and a common bath room with same fixtures. I am restricted to smoking only in the common bathroom and nowhere else in the house now. I have negotiated limiting smoking in the Utility room, but really need to smoke in the toilet. :(

    Do you think that I can get a WC/toilet bowl in the BATH area. So in a way, we want 2 bathrooms by having:

    1) BATH

    - sink

    - shower

    - WC

    2) TOILET

    - shower

    - WC

    - KDK ventilation fan + wall fan to channel smoke out of the TOILET

    Anyone has suggestions or know whether this is possible? I know some plumbing has to be done up to make this possible, but is it allowed? and has anyone done this before? Thanks. for any advice/suggestions you might have. It seems that this is the main point of contention for wife and I whenever we start discussing about RENO. I can't back down, and she also doesn't want a compromise. I think installing the KDK ventilation fan to suck out the air, and the wall fan to help channel the air out to the toilet window is enough, but wifey thinks otherwise(I mean not 100% can push out all the smoke, but i think enough not make the whole house smokey :))

    haha oh ya i mentioned there were 3...completely forgot *blur*..

    sounds horrifying........we'd be called a midtable club if that happens.. :o and now torres is out of the season. i was hoping to watch him play against athletico..

    It's not end of the world yet. If the new chairman can get new investors or a consortium coming to bid for the club in the next 6 months, I say Liverpool will see some light and come back with a vengence next season.
