it added up to be bout 50k. but we had alot of build in carpentry like shelves, tv console, benches, knocked down 3 walls, built up 3 partitions, and put in quite abit of glass/mirrors so these add up to quite abit.

hahaha.. u can read up jeffcraze blog too.. his unit is our area too.. yea yea nam wah is in changi.. we had quite some probs gettin the HDB to aprrove wall hacking.. the HDB guy came like 3 times before finally approving.. so if u plan on hackin ur walls and in rush of gettin ur flat done up.. better tell ur contractor to speed up e permit application

ya.. our ceilin is low.. we manage to put false ceilin(the false ceiling was as thin as possible and juz nice can put in the downlights only) and hang a ceiling fan.. but u muz get those shorter ceilin fans.. not many of those in e market.. ours is the KDK one.. tink e blades length quite short.. cant remem e exact dimension.. but its actually quite good.. very cold if u dun do false ceiling in ur living room.. should b no issues gettin the longer rod ceiling fans.. those market gt alot of models.. im bout 1.78 m i tink.. i raise my hands up and tip toe i can touch e ceiling fan.. so no jumpin in e livin room.. but sit down on sofa and raise ur hands up no problems at all la..

welcome to simei st 1! hahaha looks like u hav a totally same layout as mine except mine is 5rm corner.. but other than tt.. ur layout is totally e same! for ur mbr toilet.. aft tiling... if its e same as mine.. length of bathtub tt can fit is roughly bout 1.3m only.. cos we were juz measurin it e other day... hahaha

MBR toilet vanity toilet WIW! tts all! din post photos of e guest room. nth in there but our barang barangs. storerm nt showin too.. its juz a room and no racks up yet. Its super shiok to b enjoyin our hse and knowin we put in our hard work in designing and gg thru e reno process. enjoyin e fruits of the labour now! love e feelin and love our house though its **** tirin to clean n deco n its nt totally done yet. its been great to hav comments and help fr forummers here and hope you guys like our hse as much as we do!

another set of decals for e study.. [ movin on to MBR. entrance view with our DIY-ed ladder towel hanger our cellini bedframe and our purple wall with cove lighting e rotating tv with e study/relax room.

Now on to the living room. our Cellini sofa and coffee table. Still need to decorate the wall behind e sofa with photos and clocks and of cos add carpet and curtains.. day view of the feature wall and tv console On to the study! view fr e other side our dandelions decal tts hardly visible..

going on to e kitchen with our industrial sink/tap and ikea push trolley. view from the other side our breakfast top then on to our common toilet.. forgive us for showin the mop.. too lazy to remove it b4 phototakin..

After 3 wks of cleaning and decorating and DIY-ing, we've did our 'ceremonial' move in. selected a good date and stayed over for e 1st time. I'd say e house is bout 90% completed in everyth. lacking some stuffs like curtains(on e way), carpets(to buy soon), clocks(to buy soon), and put up some photos. So here's e almost completed photos of our place! =) I shall start with the front gate fr outside with our DIY-ed bamboo features. as we go into e house.. nite, side view of the foyer and shoe cabinet with our DIY stool and stones turnin left to our dining area, our gorgeous skyscraper lights against e mirrors.

aaaa. finished touchups and rectifications today.. finally! god knows how many times we have cleaned e house expectin its e end but another bunch of people to dirty the place again... most furniture and essential appliances are in, except for a few more items.. last ting to do is to settle e final payment.. n move stuff in! 4th nov is a good target to have our 'move in' according to the chi calendar or sth.. we can hav 'ceremonial move in' though we offically move in aft weddin nxt yr.. den we can hav our wkend chalets aft cermonial move in! post photos when most tings are completed. =)

anybody got any lobangs as to where to buy a similar ladder as tt in the above picture? we're lookn for one to hang our towels.. tinkin of DIY it.. seems like abit of drillin n paintin would do e trick but gettin lazy.. haha.. anyone gt lobangs to buy such a ladder?
