  1. Hi I got quotes from Poh Seng for one piece Verlin WC at S$343 nett with collar pan. Collar pan is the connecting part to the sewage hole on the floor. There is another shop which offers S$308 set with 2 pc baron wc and a sink. No other accessories included. Does anyone knows if Verlin or Baron is better? Also i was told that price difference between shops can be as much as S$100 and it may be due to the internal flushing system quality. Any advise?
  2. Hi all, I am considering of buying a kitchen tap from overseas. Have been to many kitchen suppliers but find that the designs and prices are not ideal. Anyone had any experience in importing kitchen taps, bathroom taps and sinks into SG? What is the typical dimension for the connection to waterpipes? Regards
  3. Hi all, I am also considering if I should install LED lights or PLC lightings. I stumble upon this website that seems to have interesting solutions for LED lights. They seem to have LED lights on PLC fittings. http://ai-m.net/ Anyone tried? comments? Did anyone work out the breakeven point for LED lights? ie comparing the energy saved and the initial cost of LED, how long does it take to breakeven. I was looking at my utilities bill. Average electricity cost is S$40, not inclusive of gas and water, but this S$40 is a consolidation of lights, aircon, washing machine, TV, computer and other electrical appliances... currently im using those old school circular florescent tubes, no fanciful ambience lights and hence the lower electricity bill. I understand that the base for LED lights requires drivers? if we simply switch our PLC blubs with LED blubs, do we need to install drivers? Then again, will the cost savings be significant? Like everyone else, I dont mind spending higher initial cost for LED if it can bring down electricity bills significantly. However, if the breakeven period is too long, i suppose it may be better to use PLC instead until the cost of LED comes down.
  4. Thanks for the information. Do you know if we can buy a separate warranty from Simmons Singapore after we receive the mattress in Singapore? Or is there a way to verify the authencity of the mattress?
  5. Hi, The deal seems tempting but when i went to US Simmons and third party distributors websites, it seems that they do not carry Simmons® Beautyrest Black™ Temptation or Simmons® Beautyrest Black™ Florence. I notice that even in Singapore, Simmons SEA will list the model of each mattresses available in Singapore regardless if it is distributed by Simmons Gallery or by distributors. You will be able to find Arlington via their distributors but not in the Simmons Gallery. And if the mattresses are really from US, how can we authenticate the mattress? We dont mind buying a mattress without warranty as long as it is a genuine mattress from Simmons. We already taken the risks to import the mattress and we definitely do not want to end up buying an imitation. Though it is significantly cheaper, it still will set us back S$4k unlike toys or other baby stuffs.
