Light E / Light F: Light G. We got this in black: As for the 2 lights labeled R, we are going to just wash and re-use the current ones. They're just normal round white lights.

Hacking is all done, we're expecting tiling to start on National Day! So far we have been rather busy buying appliances and furniture. We also went to Lightings.com.sg at Jalan Berseh to purchase all our lights. The prices stated on their websites are fixed but are all cheaper than other shops along Jalan Berseh. In total we spent about $1k plus on all 10 lights. Here are the lights we bought! Light A / Light B: Light C. We chose the warm yellow light on the left. This is an LED light, 1 watt per glass tube, total 3 watts: Light D. Our kitchen is rather dark, so we opted for a bright 2x36 watt light:

Yes, agree! Don't have to worry. I didn't prepare anything at all, even forgot to bring appointment letter and documents from 1st appointment. The HDB officer did ask me if I brought and I just said no. They will have everything in their record. Are you going to do any inspection before getting the keys during 2nd appointment?

Has been quiet for a while cos been busy looking around for electrical appliances e.g. TV, washing machine, hob, fridge, storage heater, etc. Finally settled our first purchase for the house - air con. We got a non-inverter Mitsubishi MUX 3D23VD/MSA10VD x 3. The package comes with 1/2", class '0' insulation and 16mm PVC pipe. This Sunday we will be meeting Leslie and Jeremy to view our 3D drawings and for him to do some site measurement. Can't wait!

I think black is getting more common now. During my parents' time, black tiles / cabinets are definitely not acceptable. If you want to, you can check out my kitchen when it's done, to see how black cabinets and floor will look like. According to the schedule Jeremy gave us, our reno will finish in the first week of September. Total reno period takes about 5 weeks. We're getting our keys on Tuesday!! It's been such a long wait since OTP until now...

Hi Doomsday, very very nice furniture you got. I love your sofa's wooden legs and the curves on your dining table. Coffee table is interesting too, how big is it? Round coffee tables are nice, but does it take up alot of space? Also, have fun with your reno!

We've received our tile samples from Jeremy! Here's a photo of the tiles we selected. Living/ dining floor tiles has some faint brown lines. On the sample tile you can't really see any design, but on actual 60x60 tile, it looks a little flowery. It's quite faint though, so will not be too overwhelming. Bathroom and kitchen floor is a rough surface 30x30 black tile, bathroom wall tiles also rough surface 30x30 tile but we will install them with the lines running horizontally. We chose 2 colours to mix and match for the bathroom. Kitchen wall tiles are glossy and white with a wave-like design. Hopefully with this wall tile our kitchen will not look as dark. Already using black floor tiles and considering black kitchen cabinets, so this glossy white wall tile is supposed to help brighten up the kitchen.
