  1. Hi folks, When I first saw such cute little dolls being sold @ the pasar malam for as low a price as $5, I didn't even realise that these were Ddung-inspired dolls. Ddung dolls originated from a popular cartoon character in Korea known as Ddung. Although the Ddung cartoon character & its authentic dolls had been found in the market for quite sometime, it didn't take off with me until a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure how long my fascination with these imitations would last as I was never a doll collector. Storage space & space for displaying would be an issue since I stay in a flat that's unblocked with very strong sunlight. I would want these poor little ones to be baking in the sun!
  2. The photograph below shows a variation of the bow-themed cinch belt in other prints: I would also like to thank a fellow customer whose so kind in volunteering to be my makeshift live-mannequin As this was an ad-hoc arrangement, we would have to make do with whatever she was wearing. And I must highlight to you guys that she is a very slim lady even though she was portrayed as fattish in the photographs. Reason: Due to my amateurish photography skills. ====================================================================================== This other blue tone is such a hot favourite but I could only purchase 1 colour in view of budget constraint so for you ladies out there whose interested in such a classy item, please visit their pushcart or store now in viewing the actual item. For a price of "shi-duo-kuai" in chinese, it is really a good buy! ====================================================================================== This is another variation in a stiff black velvet-like material with a jewel attached at the centre. Something which I would view as "safe" for the conservative who would still like abit of blink-blink without accessorising too much. As you could see from a close-up photo shoot of the rhinestones, the quality is good & not expensive based on my expectations as a customer:
  3. This is a beautiful (broad) cinch belt that gives the right outfit a modern touch. I fell in love with it the minute I lay my eyes on it.
  4. I've got loads of photographs to upload but still cannot find the time as it's very time-consuming to edit the photographs & upload them... But anyways, I'm happy to upload what I've bought from Sherryknows Accessories recently. This is a pretty, sweet-looking bow that came a magenta-pinkish hue. Please note that the bow isn't the flimsy sort because the silky polyester fabric has been wrapped around something that's stiff. As such, the shape of the bow holds well on the elasticated band. The actual colour is very difficult to capture in the photograph. But the actual shade of pink is a classy hue & is just timely for this Chinese New Year!
  5. The photograph below shows 2 beautiful necklaces which would look great when worn with suitable outfits.
  6. The fabric flower brooches or pins had been the rage for quite a while as they seemed to be ageless & add more panache to any boring outfits. I've added many flower brooches to my personal collection over the years. The photographs below show my flower brooches which were bought from Sherryknows Accessories' pushcard at Pasir Ris West Plaza: Then, I figured out pairing them up with a hairband in complementary colours so that I wouldn't just be spotting a huge white flower on my head. It could get quite dangerous if I'm being mistaken for a mental patient whose spotting a huge bob of white flower on my head!
  7. Sherryknows Accessories carry a great variety of hair accessories too! These are 2 Kawaii-looking hair clips from her pushcart.
  8. This Bib-necklace is one of my favourites which I've frequently worn with many of my black outfits. I discovered that it could be worn in 2 different ways & to "upgrade" the quality of this necklace, I was supposed to replace the 2 tie-backs with black velvet ribbons. However, I still couldn't find time to get it done.
  9. The photograph below shows a consolidation of some of my favourite pieces from the pushcart @ Pasir Ris, one of which had been donated to the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) located in Dharamsala, India. All these accessories were worn on my bony hands & unmanicured fingers.
  10. I'm sorry that these photographs came late in this forum as I simply couldn't find sufficient time to upload them earlier. Anyways, I would like to show you guys cute necklaces in the form of these Harijuku dolls. Although I didn't own any as they aren't my cup of tea, these fashion pieces are a "must-have" for hot fans of the Kawaii fashion culture.
  11. For those of you who are interested in acquiring her accessories but are residing in other parts of Singapore e.g. Woodlands, Jurong & find it too much a hassle to travel all the way down to Pasir Ris / Tampines, you might want to give it a try by making online purchases through her website address at: http://www.sherryknows.com/ Now, here comes some of the photographs of my personal collection from Sherryknows Accessories ...

  13. Photographs of my Ginger plants on 31st December 2010: _____________________________________________________________________________________ New baby shoots growing stems & ready to be potted:
  14. This breed of orchids is one of my favourites! Aren't they beautiful? My mother inlaw calls it the "Tiao-Boo-Hueh" which meant Dancing Flowers in the Hokkien dialect. She claimed that it was found to be growing rampantly during the old kampong days. However, I didn't find this breed of orchids a common sight in the heartland homes.
  15. These multiple sprays of red orchids are absolutely beautiful & even more so when you set your eyes on them in person! They do remind me of pretty red blossoms found in chinese paintings.
  16. The commonly found orchid specimens are shown in these successive posts but even then, these are subject to availability @ the nursery. This is supposedly a "hardy" version of orchids when it is cut off from the plant & placed in a vase. I've bought them from Freeman Florist @ Whitesands mall but didn't find them longer lasting even though I added flower food.
  17. This is another breed of orchid which is supposed to give off a nice fragrance & does well in getting attached to dried "moss" as you could see from the photograph: I was told that attaching such "creeper" orchids to wood isn't an good option as wood is subject to rotting after some time. As such, the Environ-Scape nursery carries a proper substitute that looked like some hardened version of compressed blackish-brown "moss".
  18. Hey u need not apologise. Most of us aren't full time bloggers R the crystals causing u problems???
  19. Hehehe... Lighting is always a tricky issue But I like the Reno for ur flat it is beautiful & soooooo spacious! I had a champagne gold by Nippon on one of my walls at the balcony too. We jux painted it recently, complementing it against sneaker white walls fr nippon too.
  20. Hey guys there r mixed reviews of pd doors but up till now, no photographs to substantiate claims... Anyone with photographs of their pd doors?
  21. Is that feature wall where ur tv is a champagne gold? I love the colour!
  22. Whoa ur flat looks nice! Kind of showroom style... But abit too dimly lit for my liking, especially where the dry kitchen is... But on the whole, it's beautiful looking!
