  1. Oh, before I forget, gotta thanks this forum for I've gained and learned much on reno, shopping for items and such. Special mention to fellow forummer payton, mae29, reglxt, nitrolil and many more who shared very useful tips and lobangs with me! :D

next up, time to plan for my house warming... ;p

haha congrats to you photoG :)

let us know when you are ready for house warming

  2. Quick Updates!

    bathroom_scheme_1.JPG

    Feature wall - Toronto Ivory

Wall tiles - very light pink/beigey tiles with running tones (may change to plain glossy tiles with similar tone)

Floor tiles - light beige/pink rough tiles (may change to slightly darker shade)

this combi not bad.. maybe select darker, rough surface floor tiles

  3. I do hope so la...

we 2 very frickle-minded one... and very "shui bian"... so kept changing minds... esp after hearing other ppl comment...

want to try something different... yet very scared the results haywire and then have to face it for at least the next 10-15 yrs...

and that's the con of not having an ID... sometimes, these kind of things... a bit hard to visualize...

a tile by itself might look nice... but when used on a large area... might have different feel...

and also realised me and wife have quite different perspectives on aesthetics!!! LOL...

rickoveron, you mean for floor tiles or wall tiles? or in general? yah... won't get too rough kind... maybe more matt look, then rough... for the floor tiles...

for the wet areas... need to think abit la... maybe still need a *bit* rougher or anti-slip...

yes... understand the cleaning and maintenance issue... but still keen on getting the feature wall for the shower area... :P

LOL... actually... the lighter theme... it's my selection... the other one is my wife one...

we are quite ok with either one... but definitely... need to do a bit more mix & match of the complementary tiles...

I actually like this better... some in this kind of pattern... and also the greyish tone...

but my wife likes the mosaic-like kind... and a more brownish tone...

but now, i'm more for the ivory series... LOL... modern resort style... can be white/beigey series also... can add the woody stuff (bamboo rack, vanity counter with wood laminate, indoor potted plants)... can also add to the modern resort theme... don't need to be too "dark" ba... :P

hmm IMO this tile also very "resort" feel.. can go with beige floor tiles

or maybe select this tile as the feature wall tiles and the rest is beige wall tiles then floor select greyish tiles?

but honestly speaking better to go for darker color floor tiles.. so it wont be so envious when it gets dirty

  4. Ya, from US very cheap. see any friends going there, help you buy back?

mine i got here.. but still cost $648 i think. :P

its at this cost as i got it with the oven (purchase with purchase thingy)

    Btw, the dehydrator looks cheap!

    are you getting one? :P

if yes, can i lobang? perhaps get 2 shipping might be lesser? :)

sorry foot print .. i had closed the order last week and will recd the dehydrator in a day or two

  5. today started on tiling...

    dscf4480h.jpg

went up to see the WM base specifically to ensure the base is dimensionally correct as i can only fit the WM after the pipe, but tiler took WM's depth starting from wall, instead of pipe...heng cement still wet, took some tiles out and added the small row...

    dscf4496x.jpg

and plastic trap was at the top, exposed...didn't like it there so asked tiler to conceal it under...

    now u see it...

    dscf4490a.jpg

now u don't...the tile is just put on top of the trap but don't think will touch it anymore as WM will sit on it...

    dscf4492.jpg

loved the tile colour... :yeah: now think black solid top is better than red...don't u agree???

    dscf4481j.jpg

    ya, agree black looks better

    red abit off

in my previous place, we gotten solid top as well - do note that you are not suppose to place anything hot on solid surface esp. black solid top , the color will change

maybe the one i gotten cannot withstand high temp

  6. This is the 2nd draft of 3D drawings after fengshui audit but still need some ammendments after chosing the laminates and discussing my ideas with the ID.

  7. BaZi

Last September, I was attending JY new course titled "Crafting Your Own Success Story with BaZi Profiling". It is 3-days course at Marina Baysand.

He said that destiny is not just something that awaits you, but something you actually design..."! The objective of him coming up with this new course is to help students understand deeper into ourself so that we can flourish in the external world and achieve the level of success we deserved in life.

From our BaZi chart, each of us has a dominating & prominant energy that drives us in all that we do.

I am Ting Fire Day Master, with aplenty of favourable resource elements, Wood.

From JY's BaZi profiling system, the 10 Profiles, I am the "Analyzer" - a person who cares about reputation, has strong ability in learning & can learn things very quickly.

Some professions suitable for Analyzer are teachers, mentors, counsellors. This group of people also have strong analytical skills to learn metaphysics, spirituality & astrology.

Hmmmm....seems very accurate for my reading. :)

i went to JY's 2010 bazi seminar as well .. not too bad

he got one new seminar coming up , will u be attending?

sign up early to get early bird discount

i used to see chong swan lek personally for bazi reading previously
