    Hahaha....when they forgotten to keep their pay slips...then everything will be out of the bag liao...

    Actually when you buy house, need to submit CPF statement, then you'll already know how much each other earns mah. :(

    Anyway, I support joint acct after marriage, like tat hor, no matter who earns more, who gets more bonus, nobody will be jealous because the other party benefits from it too. Like sometimes if hubby whine abt salary difference, I'll tell him "hey, why u complain? u suddenly got $X increment in your monthly salary leh!" heehee!

    Basket.... talking about Lee Hwa, I dun understand why their diamonds are so expensive!:dunno: And furthermore they dun shine after few years of wearing. Really regret buying the ROM solitaire ring there!!

    GASPS! :D Please do not start the topic on diamonds again... there's a whole thread of postings on which one better, how to make it shine again etc...go look at it and please spare me the repetition here again :)

    So that means, the richer you are, the more lok kok you get....haha...i think next time me and my fiance should just wear our pajamas out lah :P

    HEy, I actually see people in Shanghai wearing their pyjamas out! :D Once, I even saw this well-dressed guy, gel-up hair and so on wearing those cute fluffy huge slippers in a tourisy area.... :D

    Aiyo, dun say relatives, even my neighbour will ask... !! The dear old lady just suddenly popped the qns in the lift, "Got 2k or not?" "er..... yeah, somewhere ard there lah" Then nvm, after that she actually volunteered her son's salary to me when I didn't even asked :dunno:

    of course la, between friends and colleagues this type of thing where got reveal one.. in our letter of appointment also got the clause 'do not reveal or discuss' lei.. !!

    No lah, not reveal exactly how much we earn. I don't tell that to anybody except hubby. Just asking would you be paiseh to admit your wife earns more than you.

    Personally for me and Hubby there is nothign private. we share our financial information 100% as we trust each other with our very lives. and i think that should be the way...

    Hmm.. funny now that I think of it, a lot of issues that we've discussed recently under Marriage Life & Retirement has a lot to do with TRUST :)

    That's sweet! At least he puts in effort :dancingqueen: I think we should always measure according to what a person has. I mean a millionaire give 100 dollars to charity compared to a poor widow give 100 dollars to charity, you know who is more sincere lah :dancingqueen:

    Just be frank, transparency is crucial in a relationship. Better to say it out when he talks abt financial planning. Of coz don't harp on it and make him feel inferior. Different job nature naturally have different salary range, not nec he no good wat :dancingqueen:

    Just watched a chinese movie few days back, titled Happy Birthday to You. In the story, the gal and guy obviously love each other to death. But then the gal, because of her own insecurities and low self-confidence, refused to allow the guy to commit to their relationship, no matter what the guy did. She felt that it is better to remain just good frens becoz good frens won't say goodbye but couples may break up. I felt so sad for them... sorry, I watch movie always very emotional one. I mean, they could have build a wonderful life together but the gal didn't want to walk out of her own fears (which are not substantiated by circumstances) to love the guy. And the poor guy wanted so much to devote his life to her but she kept pushing him away.

    What I'm trying to say is, we lose out when we doubt. We don't know the future but we can work towards a better future. :)

    I think if you go overseas to a significant place (eg. where you met, where you were proposed etc) then worth it. Otherwise, local is fine coz usually the nicer photos are the ones whereby you two are shown BIG BIG (I mean you want to be able to see your face rite) so u prob won't see so much of the backgrd. Good photographers can also take your photos from a different angle, though same boring locations, that you won't know it's Spore. I've seen my fren's one from Utopia, really :)
