Just got to know that starmex new model is 5 ticks nea rating .. so wondering it will really save alot or not...as old model from 4 ticks revised to 2 ticks and this new model is based on new nea rating which is 5 ticks...
Think of getting system 4 ...but dont know worth it or not...and also i am trying to do away ceiling fans as well...so can fully use the aircon...
Current model, less an issue, if lock at 8,5A current limitation won't feel cold enought.
The new one set as standard for around 5A only, still far away from 8.5A, so can claim it higher capacity and energy saving too.
Just take note, usually new batch has a minor an issue, also depend the luck too.

Oops; mine is DBSS (but to me, it's actually just a glorified HDB).
What does the piping inlet resemble? Is it always on the left-hand side of compressor units (mine's Daikin).
Actually ur condition still under coverage on AC leadge, unlike old HDB without AC leadge the whole outdoor unit was expose direct sun too, but still can last around 10 yrs also never getting rusty too.
If you too worried it, can ask Aircon contractor come and raise up the condenser leg support to be prevent the water leave on the steel leg for longer time and getting rust as well

Your is EC isn't? The AC condenser is weather sealed even spray water or rain is not an issue, but just don't spray water on pipping inlet at left hand side area.

I suggest you can ask someone for do pressure test and before to decide need or not need to change all.
Cause some concealed pipes & wire are use better one, then should be not an issue, just need to plug out old sticky gas 1st and turn over to R410a gas.

So in short, can i say that Mitsubishi has 2 types basically.. 1 is MHI & ME?
ME refers to starmax model as well as Mitsubishi Inverter?
Betweem Starmax and inverter, which i better?
Same company name, but different division and products, but if you need more info Budget then go with MHI only, if you wanna enjoy more top class then ME will do and last longer for parts.
Otherwise just look at others brand

another qns is on the BTU etc.. how do i chose or know if the capacity is good enough?
my house is 4room BTO.

Just don't choice smaller BTU such as 18k BTU for 3 bedroom, I guess from Daikin & MHI had it packaged only, From ME will be package on 3A28VA or 4A28VA & 4A38VA for outdoor total BTU.. 28 meant = 28k BTU.

We call ME and MHI, both are the Thailand made.
But quality wise may ME slighly better than MHI.
The outlook can't define, once you remove out the front cover and realize the design will be slighly cheap like china made
Go for ME you won't regret lah.

Hi Calvin, Have you had the issue solved? I have the exactly same issue as you! I asked the contractors who came to help me installed to check on the installation, but no problem was found. I really don't understand where the problem lies at. The room just cant meet the coldness expectations! If you have your problem solved, could you give me some advice? Thanks alot
Gas pressure are very important to let those Aircon cooling down.
If your Aircon even set to 20-18C still feel like winding, that meant gas shortage.
The best cooling from 24C to 25C is a normal Aircon condition, others than that should check gas pressure.

Armaflex class 1 or class 0 still available in market, why too worried?
If they used cheap one then more concern about condensation in future as well too

The compressor will on run at 28k btu only, no matter how you turn on to max.
From 9k x 2 for each room can feel very sufficient, once turn on another 9k for 3rd room still ok in normal cooling, but once turn on the living room would be insufficient to be made all room to be slower cooling performance until the living room while cooling sometime then for the rest smaller room will feel as normal again.
The design for 3 room only.
Meant switch on either 3x 9k or 2x 9 + 18k still works as sufficient cooling.

Hi kimsim, do they replace the wire all the way from compressor to fcu? Is it difficult job that requires any hacking?

He was solved my friend Aircon recent.. Thumb for him, he did the good job too.

Look quite minimum gap for runing trunking at least 100mm from the door frame to bottom of false ceiling.
Now look like very close to top.
Anyway the trunking should run from your master bedroom toilet out to living or dinner area.
Now seem like very big reno on false ceiling.
If you really don't bother that dirty or flying dust when they cut off, should do the rest room piping & wire to be install ready, next time no more regret again.

Are you saying that, just by replacing the Brown or Blue wire, the problem is cleared and FCU in full operation?
IF 2 light blinking up down up down = indoor fan motor and PCB may replace

4 ticks of 3 ticks Ins't help a lot energy saving?
In paper yes, but in realise not as cold then Increse lower temperature are more worst than 2 ticks inverter model

Anyone who have used the Mitsubishi EF or LG ArtCool able to give a review? So far all air cons in the market is white in color which turns yellow over time.
ME EF or GE hardly to turn into yellowish
Now alrwady 1 yr still look white.
Just take not do not used wet tissue or some chemical clean or wipe the surface
Tap water will do

Share my experience from all best from IMM
My set bought last yr Oct 2014, so far so good..
They have many Aircon installed team, their price was very compotitor and all most lower than others.
They quote me Starmex sys 3 with extended up to 5 yrs is around 2700 ++ only.
dismantle sys 2 old Aircon for 100 & new S/S bracket was 150.
For me is nothing wrong, cause the overall price still less than 3k.
Also thier workmanship is quite well and done for the overall trucking job.
For our Aircon today still cold like new
Everything was depend on luck.

Fujitsu Aircon never look good on thier quality and design for maintenance as user friendly.
Like no others on thier fan blower cloudnt removable when for serving.
Again remote sensor can be can't functional at all.
Just one thing it brand is made in Japan only

when you say more power, it means will get colder faster?
More faster hit up and cooling all the room, just check with your area can support more than 8.5Amp or maximum power input without current limitation.
If older type HDB flat was lock at 8.5A only, for any system 4 will do.
Midea = New Aircon Brand?

Midea is a China brand, but not consider branded brand as "Gree" in China.
Midea available in M'sia for single split only, but the Quality so so and not cold enough.
In sg has a bigger market for multi split, but do you think they can preformance better than "Fujitsu" this General electric brand as long time ago best in Sg.
If you guys consider for midea should consider those brand like Fujitsu also selling much lower price as well
