  1. Guys, any website got nice bedframe to see? or maybe ur bedframe pic to share. thinking custom 1 but lack of design . Thanks

you may want to try www.hommage-trading.com

  2. I'm going to buy my Simmons mattress from Shaw Plaza at Balestier, 3rd floor.

We went there last Sunday and the salesguy said bed frame is free, which is those on display except for a furry black frame. Most other plcs don't give FOC bed frame, which can cost anything from $199 (Courts) to thousand plus for those with storage.

They have Simmons, King koil and Max coil on display. Simmons there are imported from USA, so the King size ones are bigger, 193cmx200cm.

My hubby and me tried comparing prices but realised that different shops have different names for mattresses, so its difficult.

Hi molly remember to ask them where to buy the bed sheet cos this is a very odd size and i believe the bed sheets are hard to get too.

  3. I have just place a deposit for a Serta king size mattress and bed frame.

After trying on a few, im quite undecided between Missouri and sophistcation.

Missouri is closer to my budget, which is selling for $2.6k+ after discounts while sophiscation is at $3668 after discounts.

I prefer sophiscation as its really more firm and comfy for me, esp for my back problem.

But the sales advise to book sophiscation 1st incase the price hikes by yr end, while i still have many mths to think if i still want missouri.

I was given alot of freebies too ... happie!!

So how?? Should i choose Comfort over Budget?? its a difference of $800-900

I suggest you take comfort over budget as we spend at least 1/3 of our lives on the mattress sleeping. No point saving on that and not getting proper and enough rest.

  4. Oh great to hear that you got your furniture in order. Now I am less worried in buyign furniture from them :P

Now I am worried in another thing.... I got a simmons queen size bed the size is 152 x 190 the usual queen is 150 x 190.

Was wondering if it makes the different of the 2cm of the bed in a normal bed frame

Dont worry too much zerochristy, most bed frames are in measurements of 5ft which is actual 152cm. Even if they make it 150cm it is not much of a difference.

  5. If you read the article, it is compared with Innerspring mattresses in other words standard springs.

    Anything is better than innerspring

As i said the article is for knowledge. Inner spring to the researchers might be all spring mattresses, I wouldnt know.

By the way there are still a lot people buying inner spring mattresses.

  6. This is an American Ranking. You see Sealy, Serta and Simmons. Slumberland is a UK brand.

Which 3Ss were you taking about?

oh sorry the 3S i am referring to is sealy, serta and simmons. I thought the ranking list was clear enough to explain that. My bad.

  7. If you are looking for lots of mattresses to test try going to major shopping centres ie taka, robinsons etc. They have more varieties for you to test and try. But remember that certain conditions may defer the comfort level. Example is how long has the mattress been there and how many people have layed on it and the tempurature of the place. Unless you are going to be like the shopping centre and using your air-con the whole day, remember to keep in mind that the feel of comfort will be different.

  8. I bought a super single max coil mattress... have been using it for > 1 yr now... not too sure about its history... individually pocketed spring... very comfortable to me.

Don't just look at the brand when you buy mattress... you need to lay on it to have a feel ;)

I agree with what yokine9a say. Buying a mattress depends on the feeling of laying on top of it with your parther. Names are only brands.

Regarding geraldhoe's question, Max coil is a local brand. but regarding the certificate and Nasa technology there is a slight "twisting of facts".

So far only Tempur is the only brand recongised by NASA and certified by them. The rest are copies of Tempur.

  9. For people thinking about getting memory foam mattress.

I just copy and paste hor. Hope it helps everyone.

Study Participants Report More Quality Sleep, Less Discomfort

LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2006--Tempur-Pedic ® International Inc. , the leading worldwide manufacturer, marketer and distributor of mattresses and pillows in the viscoelastic and premium categories, today announced that pregnant women who slept on a Tempur-Pedic ® Swedish Mattress fell asleep faster, slept longer and felt more rested in the morning compared to traditional innerspring mattresses, according to a recent study conducted by Preston-Osborne Marketing Communications and Research for Tempur-Pedic ® International, Inc. The women also reported that after sleeping on The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic , they experienced less discomfort while lying down to sleep and felt less daytime drowsiness.

    Significant Findings:

Ninety-five percent of the study participants reported improved sleep on The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic.

Seventy-five percent of women reported falling asleep in 30 minutes or less while sleeping on The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic ® (up from only 40 percent on the traditional innerspring mattress).

The average number of hours slept increased from 6.25 hours to 7.15 hours.

Ninety-five percent of the women reported feeling more rested in the morning from sleeping on The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic ® versus their innerspring mattress.

Nine out of ten participants would recommend Tempur-Pedic ® to friends and family, whether they were pregnant or not.

The women who participated in the study were entering or near the beginning of their third trimester and slept on innerspring mattresses prior to the study. The women were 40 years of age or younger, had experienced sleep discomfort due to pregnancy and were not considered by their physicians to be at significant high-risk for pre-term labor. They kept sleep journals detailing the effectiveness of the mattress in aiding onset to sleep and sleep comfort. "Tempur-Pedic ® provided the women in the study with much-needed rest and relief during a time when many women feel that comfort and sleep are elusive luxuries," said Dany Sfeir, senior vice president of marketing. "The body-conforming support of our proprietary TEMPUR® material experienced by these women can provide any consumer with an enhanced sleep experience."

Tempur-Pedic ® beds are temperature sensitive, breathable and viscoelastic. These properties enable this material to remain firm where needed and soft where desired, creating a custom fit for each individual. Through the use of weight and heat to distribute pressure over the entire surface, the bed automatically adjusts to body size and provides body-contouring support for a restful night's sleep."

  10. Can Viesta Sisters consider a big brand.

Siesta Sister is considered a small brand only. When normal people refer to big brands they are normally refering to brands available in major shopping centres like Robinson, Taka etc. Hope this helps in your understanding of brands Kewin
